"After reading other reviews, I was prepared for the worst, but it wasn't as bad as I expected. The pros are its excellent location, just a 5-7 minute walk to Alishan Railway Station. There's parking right in front, which is great for those driving. The breakfast restaurant they partner with is also really good! 👍👍👍 The downside is the poor soundproofing; you occasionally hear footsteps or people talking. However, since I was so tired, I fell asleep quickly, so it didn't bother me much. 🤣🤣🤣"

"I chose this place because of its location right in Fenqihu Old Street, making shopping and exploring easy. It's also super convenient for hitting the nearby walking trails. There's no dedicated parking, but on weekdays, it was a breeze to snag a free roadside spot nearby. Weekends would be a different story though; if you don't arrive before 9 AM, you're out of luck even if you're willing to pay. The room facilities are a bit dated, and there's no air conditioning, just an external exhaust fan for ventilation. I imagine it would be quite uncomfortable in the summer, but thankfully, the April nights were still very pleasant. My baby absolutely loved the tatami room, with all that open space to crawl around freely and happily."

"Our group of five booked two rooms because it's opposite the National Palace Museum South Branch, just a few minutes' walk away! The rooms were small, but clean and tidy. I'm a little puzzled by the fact that the location is on the outskirts of Chiayi, practically sparsely populated; I wonder why the rooms are so small. Breakfast was served in a huge banquet hall, with both hot and cold food options, and the ability to cook your own noodles was a highlight! Personally, I thought the breakfast was nutritious and offered a good selection, which was nice! However, I think I won't book this place again next time."

"This is one of the few newly renovated, clean, and comfortable accommodations within the Alishan area. The location is unbeatable, the electric blankets are a thoughtful touch, and the service is friendly. They even offer a shuttle to the bus station. The poor soundproofing and the walk to breakfast are definite drawbacks, but for the convenience of watching the sunrise within the park, it's still highly recommended!"

"One of only two hotels located within Alishan National Scenic Area, it's a bit pricey, but the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast and dinner buffets are excellent, so you don't have to go down the mountain to find food. You can watch the sunset from the observation deck, and they can also arrange a bus trip for sunrise viewing. It's not too far from the Giant Trees Trail or the station. It's definitely worth staying two nights to leisurely enjoy the Alishan experience."

"From the moment we checked in, we felt such warm and friendly hospitality ☺️. The room view was absolutely beautiful~ We especially loved the room's balcony, where we could listen to the birds, gaze at the lush tea plantations, and enjoy some wine with friends while waiting for dusk to arrive – it was incredibly relaxing ❤️❤️❤️. The room was very clean, and the bed was extra large and super comfortable~ Especially the breakfast included with the stay; it was a very traditional ********* congee that made us exclaim how much we missed it! It tasted just like Grandma's cooking from childhood~ Everything was so satisfying. Thank you to everyone at 'Palms Clap' and the staff ❤️❤️❤️ We will definitely be back!"

"The place is on top of a small slope. Its environment is calm and peaceful. Room is clean, water pressure is strong. One can sit outside the room looking out to the far mountains. Breakfast is nice especially the sofa bean drink. It is near to a bus stop and also near a convenient store. It is also convenient to watch the sunrise a short distance away from the place. Would go back to stay if there is opportunity. Thanks for hosting us."

"Excellent hotel, large rooms above expectations, the room was clean(not perfect) and well-equipped, underwent basic cleaning, received water and clean towels every day. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful in everything (including ordering food and recommendations for attractions). Located a few minutes walk from 7 eleven. There is a washing machine in 3 floor and a free parking"

"Going to Alishan -> Where's the Alishan Hotel? -> Why is the hotel so cheap today? Following this stream of consciousness, I planned my trip around that one strangely cheap day for a hotel, which ended up being a trip to Taichung. There were many reviews, but the location is great, and the view is absolutely fantastic. They even posted the sunrise train schedule for Chaoping Station and the sunrise time in the hotel lobby. There's also a round-trip shuttle to the Alishan Information Center. The hotel room was clean, and they informed me that hot water would be available until midnight, but it was still working fine in the morning. The air conditioner is a combined heating and cooling unit. If you switch the mode correctly, you'll see a 'heat' indicator. It was a bit chilly that day, but I slept warmly. The hotel room is quite spacious, and the bedding is excellent. When booking through Trip.com, it states that you need to call to confirm your reservation two days before your stay. I recommend trying to send an email first. It was a difficult time for both the staff member and me... ㅠㅠ Sending an email resolved it very simply. And for some reason, Trip.com also called me separately regarding the reservation. I'm still not sure if they confirmed the reservation on Trip.com's end and notified me, or if they did it because my initial attempt to use Trip.com's internet call failed. The check-in process was assisted by a male staff member who was very friendly. Thank you! The hotel has a restaurant, but it's entirely reservation-based. I ate dinner outside, so I reserved for breakfast. It was served neatly and simply. In the morning, the door to the stairs is blocked, so you have to use the elevator."

"Highly recommended if you are looking for a chill and comfortable stay. The environment was great, quiet, and relaxing, while the owner was very friendly and helpful. The owner requested an additional TWD200 for my 5-year-old boy and kindly upgraded our room from 3 double beds to 4 double beds. The breakfast was comforting and tasty. They also provided stationery and coloring materials for kids to draw and paint, which was perfect for keeping my little one entertained. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The owner also kindly explained the route to Alishan and even brought us to watch the sunrise, which made the experience even more memorable."
