"Just returned from a girlfriend trip to the Black Hills. After much research we chose to stay at Holy Smoke Resort. Seven of us stayed in the Vacation Rental and four others shared two cabins...one larger and one smaller. The Vacation Rental was so pretty. At one point I just walked around looking at the art work. I loved that the house was so clean...that's a priority when we travel. We ate all our breakfasts at the house and 3 dinners. That saved us all a ton of money...not having to eat all meals out. It would have been nice if the kitchen were a little more equipped with cooking utensils i.e. larger variety of pots, pans, dishes and bowls. We made do with what was there and made it work. We were all surprised that there were no closets to hang things, no hangers and not even any hooks. We did find 2 hooks in the bathroom to drape our bath towels over. No shelf in the huge shower to put your shampoo, soap on and thought it was very odd having swinging saloon type doors for a bathroom door...no privacy. Loved the outside porch areas and the weather was nice enough that we could eat outside. Other than these few things we loved Holy Smoke and will recommend it to all."
