"I rate the negative experience rather than the hotel itself. Unfortunately my wife and I got sick with a fever of 39 as soon as we arrived at the hotel and our son was in great shape. After two days in this situation we decided to leave early and the owner in response told us that a few lines of fever in the summer are normal and no one has ever left the hotel for this and therefore he would have made us pay a penalty of 600 euros. (Even though the hotel was not even full) When we returned home we were prescribed antibiotics for 10 days and I recommend resting in a cool place and not in the sun (which is impossible on vacation). Given the literature on the subject I am not at all sure that the hotelier acted correctly and therefore I will report it to the consumers' association and the hoteliers' association."

"A week to encarnate that we spent my wife and me. Good food with a rich buffet, from breakfast to lunch to dinner. Clean rooms, comfortable bed, a nice and comfortable environment, friendly staff, especially the director. Marco. It is a beautiful person who also experiences a very small disguise, repairs immediately and at the great. And then the room staff: very careful that if you have allergies, or intolerances, or even if there is just something you don't like, he knows how to advise and help you. I think we'll be back."

"We stayed in Hotel Riviera for the IronMan 2024. This hotel is about 20/25 mins walk to the IronMan village so can be tricky with equipment on race day, but it is still very manageable, especially if not travelling alone (I had family with me). I don't often leave reviews but really felt the urge to call out just how great this hotel is. It has no pool but that's not an issue as it literally opens onto a quiet part of the beach. The breakfast is basic continental but very good, fresh & tasty. We got a suite with no balcony which meant the floor space was larger that other rooms so that was great for my equipment. The bed was very comfortable and fresh. The main advantages this hotel has are its incredibly warm and helpful staff and the hotel is spotlessly clean throughout. Every member of the staff literally cannot do enough for you, down to the point of providing us with an early breakfast on our check out day as we needed to hit the road at 6am. Nothing was an issue, we were made feel incredibly welcome from the minute we arrived. This hotel is located a short 15min walk from busy areas of Milano Marittima & Cervia, both busy hubs with bars and restaurants. I have stayed in other hotels with higher star ratings that would be no match to Hotel Riviera. I am planning on returning for IronMan 2025 and am already looking forward to staying here again. Thank you Hotel Riviera, you are all wonderful!"

Breakfast was served in a different building, but it included everything we needed and offered a good variety of options.
