"We had just arrived from a 6-hour drive at 2 pm and were told that the room wasn't ready. After a short wait, we entered the room, which, with 37 degrees outside, was actually a 30-degree oven. On the ceiling above the wardrobe, a very noisy and ancient "cassone" was spewing a trickle of warm air. After an hour, I went down to reception to tell them that the room was boiling hot. The lady told me that they turn the air conditioning on at 4 pm. Never mind. In the meantime, we went out and when we returned, surprise: still 30 degrees! Yes, because, they say at reception, the air conditioning only works with the electric card inserted. If we bring it with us... I say: but if we don't bring it with us, we'll learn how we'll get back in. To be brief: the room remained at 30 degrees until we left. The window couldn't be opened due to the noise from their garden party and the street traffic. The safe didn't work. The kettle tripped the meter. At the restaurant, they added a side dish to our bill that was supposed to be included with the dish."

"A hidden gem in the Latium region! We spent 5 nights in beautiful Veroli at the wonderful Monastero di Sant’ Erasmo. The monastero was enchanting, the wonderful serenity and a lovely summer breeze in the middle of August were simply heavenly. The hotel was beautifully renovated in simple, minimal style in harmony with the spirit of the place, hyper clean and Mr Pietro and Mr Cristiano were charming and always happy to help with any request to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They also gave us wonderful suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. One can really tell they are devoted to the territory and the ethos of the place. The fabulous ladies helping with breakfast were always attentive and prepared the most delicious homemade cakes. Such treats! Thank you to all of you at the Monastero, you treated us as rockstars! We will be back soon!"
