"I’m in the Military and from Cape Town, we stayed there for a Shooting Competition in August and it was really a home away from home. The reception upon arrival was friendly and the service was of a very high standard. The buffet breakfast had a good variety every day. Rooms were always clean and any challenges taken care of immediately. The owner and her staff are very flexible and one day even, when requested on short notice, made us a nice snack parcel with fruit, juice and a muffin for the next day. The food parcel for travelling back to Cape Town early the next morning had a good variety in it and was well prepared and packed. I highly recommend Clubview Guest House if you’re looking for a home away from home and excellent service."

"Staff were excellent especially Marionè, Melisane and Natasha who went the extra mile to make our stay great. The owner Mr Malan and GM Marioné walked the grounds daily and were on hand to take feedback or attend to requests. David and Sakkie who waited on us were great, unobtrusive but available when needed. David in particular deserves praise as nothing was problem whether it was a warming fire that was needed or an extra large glass of water or information on local amenities. Those who have seen my reviews, know that 5 stars is high praise indeed for me but the service here deserves it."

Thanda Manzi Country Hotel

"Disappointment and frustration with the treatment I received during my recent stay at Thanda Manzi. Despite my expectations of a comfortable and welcoming experience, I was subjected to unacceptable behavior from the hotel staff at night around 21h40 when I was sleeping. On 06April 2025, I arrived at the hotel and was initially greeted politely during check-in. However, as my stay progressed, I encountered several issues with the staff's attitude and behavior. Specifically, I was treated rudely and unprofessionally, which made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. The situation escalated at 21h40 when I was essentially "chased out" of the hotel by the staff member, who seemed more interested in rushing me out than in providing me with the service I had paid for. At 21h40 i was woken up with my wife and I was told I need to pay more a R1000 extra in order to sleep there because the discounted rate I received on ******* was too low. Something that should have been addressed at check-in or check-out. Despite, I booked via ******* where I get preferential rates as a frequent traveler member. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also unacceptable. So I ultimately was forced to leave the hotel same night. And hence means I only paid R2732.20 to spend few hours there. As a paying customer, I expect a certain level of service and respect from the hotel staff. Unfortunately, my experience at Thanda Manzi fell far short of my expectations."
