"PROS: excellent location, short drive to PSU, brand new, comfortable. CONS: Front desk staff terribly under-trained. Breakfast was depressing compared to other TRUs I have stayed at. Parking lot spaces and aisles are so small it’s difficult to maneuver into a spot between other vehicles. BIGGEST CON: I booked and paid for 2 rooms in advance. After I checked out, an additional charge appeared on my statement as if I had booked a 3rd room. When I contacted the hotel, they couldn’t explain the charge but said the manager would return my call. Corporate couldn’t help at all. Trying to resolve it was incredibly frustrating. The undertrained front desk clerk should not have tried to argue with me about the charge they could not explain, the manager should have returned my call within 2 business days, or I should have been able to speak with a representative versed in billing. When I didn’t hear back from the manager after 3 days, I just did a chargeback through my bank since it was obviously an error."

"I recently stayed at the Nittany Lion Inn for 4 nights and 5 days, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. The rooms were great — clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The hallways were absolutely amazing, lined with bookcases and cozy seating areas, all surrounded by fascinating history that truly made the Inn feel special and unique. The mocktails at Triplets were delicious, and the coffee at the café was just as impressive — such a treat during our stay. We were in town because my daughter danced at THON, so we were coming and going at all hours. It was incredibly comforting to be somewhere that felt so safe, welcoming, and conveniently close to everything we needed. Every single staff member was absolutely incredible. I never once arrived or left without someone opening a door for me — that level of attentiveness and hospitality does not go unnoticed. Everyone was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful throughout our entire stay. I do need to especially mention Claire. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, she made our stay so comforting. When my flight was canceled, Claire went above and beyond to ensure my son and I were taken care of. She helped us navigate our travel changes and made a stressful situation so much easier. Her kindness and professionalism truly stood out. Thank you for making what was already a meaningful trip even more memorable. We will absolutely be back!"

"The hotel is located in a great location and is walkable to everything. The lobby is on the second floor and the parking garage is across the street. Good breakfast buffet with steel cut oats and lots of fresh fruit like blueberries and strawberries as a nice addition to a standard breakfast buffet."

"The hotel is very close to the university, there is a Chinese restaurant at the door, the facilities are standardized, but it is quite clean, and the quality of the breakfast is not bad. The hotel is not high-end but it is enough to take a short stay with the family."

"I like the fact that the laundry room was open 24/7, and it was very available, especially late night I also like the size of the room, yet I wonder will it be possible to change the location of where the mirror is to another spot (for the 2 queen size room), so as not to be so weird to sit and be staring at oneself from the bed (though I didn't end up sleeping on that side) Grateful for the presence of notepads, even though I didn't end up using it, and I appreciate the location of the hotel- offering a wonderful, relaxing nature view from the hotel room"

"This was my "go too" hotel for my daughters upcoming PSU graduation next May. I had stayed here for my older daughters college graduation in 2021. Hotel is close to campus and clean with nice hotel staff. At the time in 2021 it checked all the boxes as to what we needed for a graduation weekend.....close to campus, close to town filled with bars and restaurants for celebration, free parking for our car. Yesterday dates opened for May 2025 reservations . I was shocked and saddened to see rates for this weekend for a standard 2 queen bed room are $949.00 a night. Shame on you Marriott, looks like greed has taken over. My only hope is that anyone reading this post will look at the surrounding areas ....15 minutes north, south,east or west of this hotel are much better rates. Without a customer Marriott , you dont stay in business !!!"

"Especially good hotel, very good in a four-star hotel. The sanitation is spotless, the environment is beautiful, the scenery is good, and there is no noise at all. Good service attitude, breakfast did not experience do not know. The room size is OK, the facilities are complete, the coffee machine teapot safe, etc., the lighting is electric control, the shower water pressure is large, and the towels are particularly large. Air conditioning is easy to use. If you have to say the shortcomings, there is no hard pillow to provide, all pillows are very soft."

"Conveniently located near I99 and near Beaver Stadium. Rooms are on the smaller size but for the price is was ok. Heat was on when I arrived so I didn’t walk in to a cold room after a cold day at work. The water pressure was great and it had very good hot water. The room was clean and had vinyl flooring so no worries about crawlers in the floor. No obvious criminal activity so I felt safe and would feel safe with my family if they were to travel with me."
