Alma Chilota
"My family and I stayed in a room on the third floor. It had an excellent view, attentive service, and great care. Every detail is evident in every corner. The common area on the first floor is beautiful, with comfortable sofas and lovely decor, and is also very well heated. The breakfast buffet is very varied and plentiful; you can see the owner's concern. The bed is very comfortable; you sleep very well and it's very quiet. Our next trip to Castro will be a very nice stay, with an excellent price-quality ratio. Our next trip to Castro will be back at Alma Chilota. You can see their concern for the well-being and comfort of their guests. For us, it's a 5-star hostel. It has parking, and the city center and the handicraft market are within walking distance."
Hotel de Castro
Hotel Esmeralda
"The restaurant is the best. They have a good, beautiful and cheap menu for what is at lunch. Dinner is at the letter, well prepared dishes, very rich and excellent service. Everyone very friendly. "
Palafito Azul Apart Hotel
"Not what we expected, location is good, apartment accommodation has the minimum required for a short stay, lacks kitchen tools, it is impossible to contact reception or find someone afterhours, contact phone posted at the reception never answers. No flexibility for a late check out (1 hour) unless you pay extra. High cost for the value it provides."
Enjoy Chiloé
"This is supposed to be the best hotel in Castro. It was fine. Comfortable rooms. Breakfast was also fine. Not too many services to offer and location is a walk from restaurants or stores, but again, we were told it was the best that Castro has to offer."
Hotel Diego de Almagro Castro
"Hotel without air conditioning in the rooms, the pool does not meet the temperature offered, the gym machines are not operational, they are not even plugged in (even with cobwebs), cleaning problems in the room and common areas, and poor response capacity at breakfast , long delay and slow replenishment"
Refugio Pullao
"I love this place, not only because the bay holds a profusion of bird life, but because the place is so peaceful. The people who work here are remarkably nice and friendly. The food is delicious--easily some of the best dinners I had in the 2 weeks I spent in Chile--and generously portioned. The rooms are wonderful--huge windows looking out onto a lawn and out over the bay. Sunrises are gorgeous. Sunsets even moreso. I've now stayed here twice for 5 nights each time and if work brings me back to Chiloe I will stay here again. February is the perfect time, but I would like to com in December when it would be even more peaceful."
Sizigia
"Lovely, small boutique hotel in lovely location in Castro. Great breakfasts and really helpful staff and a wonderful place just to sit on the deck watching the birds and scenes on the water. Might be quite noisy for some - lots of wood and noise can travel, bit we enjoyed our stay."
