Non sono una di quelle persone che fanno recensioni compulsivamente. Di solito scrivo solo se ho avuto un'esperienza molto buona o molto negativa. In questa caso, purtroppo, devo dire di non aver mai visto un albergo così sporco in vita mia. Viaggio molto per lavoro, e spesso sono i clienti che mi prenotano l'albergo, quindi non mi aspetto mai il resorto a 5 stelle. In questo caso, il cliente mi ha prenotato ingenuamente un 3 stelle ”””comfort”””” a due passi da casa sua per comodità. La struttura a prima vista non sembrava malaccio, ma una volta arrivato in stanza ho trovato una situazione imbarazzante. Tralasciando dimensioni, spazi e arredamento, un velo di polvere (con relativo forte odore di polvere) ricopriva tutte le superfici. Ho tirato via il copriletto e l'ho sbattuto un po' fuori dalla finestra per tagliere un po' di polvere. Peli e piloccia sui pavimenti. Sono andato a dormire stanchissimo e mi sono svegliato con gli occhi gonfi e puntini sulle braccia per le mie allergie. La mattina mi sono accorto che il pavimento era pieno di formiche. Sono stato tutto il giorno fuori per lavoro e, a sera, ho trovato un geco sul muro e uno scarafaggio accanto al letto. La stanza era rifatta, ma nè il pavimento nè le superfici erano state minimamente toccate. Odio fare polemica, e posso sopportare un geco e qualche formica... ma lo scarafaggio, ragà... che schifo! Ho chiesto di cambiare stanza ma non mi hanno dato questa possibilità. Sono uscito a cena chiedendo che la stanza fosse almeno pulita e quando sono tornato, geco ed insetti erano stati rimossi. La colazione è davvero essenziale, tutto confezionato (meglio, visti gli standard igienici) ma personalmente prendo sempre un cappuccino e due biscotti, quindi non è stato un grande problema. Spero di non doverci tornare, mi ha fatto una pessima impressione nonostante il personale che ho incontrato sia stato abbastanza gentile. Però l'aspetto umano non può assolutamente sopperire la mancanza di igiene. Miracolo che questa struttura sia ancora aperta.

Very spacious , excellent welcome and immediately available. Good and abundant breakfast. Excellent location, literally near the motorway, a comfortable street!! . A quite spacious room. The full comfort bathroom. The water of the shower was not very stable, it continued to change the temperature continuously, from warm to cold and cold to warm, you were more disputed with water than doing the shower.

Check in was not good. Despite pre-paid the room, at check in they wanted to charge me again and worst of all at the room rate was double what I have booked. They only accepted I have prepaid when I managed to produce the evidence (print out of my booking). Eventually I was told they had mistaken me with another customer with the same name. It was very uncomfortable experience. But to be fair, during the rest of my stay, the staffs were all very friendly.

Hotel in a great location, five minutes walk from Prato Central railway station and the city center. Clean room with a window with a pleasant view of the Bisenzio River, without any particular aesthetic beauty (may be a little lighter) but functional for the purpose, i.e. making us sleep well and in peace thanks to good soundproofing The hotel has a comfortable bed.Air conditioning, TV and modern bathroom with bathtub. The only small sin (but it is to be a pin) is the slightly uncomfortable position of the light switch, positioned near the mirror and not at the entrance. In particular, the Lord at the reception, who helped us in more than one occasion - first theoretically and then practically - with a problem at the locking of the door of the room. Apart from this small disadvantage, the hotel has also shown its validity for the very convenient price-quality ratio and can therefore be a good choice for who should stay in Prato.

We have been in charge of this hotel during a stay in Prato and having commitments in the area. Typical structure for short stops, not very cheap from my point of view, as the structure is quite date, the mail of our room to close it was needed to push the rooms with force, cleaning the rooms at the best. Positive notes: Receptionist, large free parking, good mattress, good air conditioning in the room, even though objectively a little noise winds, but with fatigue you overcome noise. Notes negative; breakfast at 5 euros seems to me too much, when other reception facilities include it in the cost of the room, the close shower door (at least in our room), if a customer is ”often” doubt that he can enter, And as I said before, it cleans a little superficial. A hotel without praise and no fame.

I made a booking and payment through the application Booking.com for a night. Upon checking-in, the lady on the front desk told me that there is no reservation under my name. I showed her the copy of the payment I did and the email of confirmation I received. After 10 minutes of checking their system, she apologized and told me there was something wrong with their computer. I should have read well all the reviews and not just looked at the 4 ⭐ label this hotel have because the establishment is already old. There was even a leak on the lobby where the staff just put a couple of white towels. When we entered our rooms and bathrooms, we did not expect them to be in such conditions. The hotel definitely needs proper maintenance. The walls are dirty and stained. Along the corridor the paint and the cabinets are old. The ceiling of the bathroom has bars, but you can see the rust/mold accumulated. When we went to the bar for the breakfast (which was also included in my booking), the server told me that we do not have the breakfast included. I was about to go to the front desk when the same lady apologized and told me that yes we can do the buffet. We paid very low for one night that is why we were not expecting much from the said buffet..croissant and coffee to heaten our tummies will do good. The good side we noticed is with regards to the staff. They all seem of the same age (nearly 60s). It is possible that they've been working in the hotel for many years meaning the management is good..just need to pay some attention to the maintenance of their establishment. Thank you!

Villa Castiglione is located on one of the hills surrounding Florence, it is a peaceful and quiet place surrounded by villas and vines. Converted monastery now features artistically decorated interiors. Rooms are just spacious enough for a lovely stay, with ensuite modern bathroom. It is as seen on photos, clean and the staff speak English - even though they appear a bit slow and bored, they were friendly and very helpful, as well as offering advice on travel. Parking is free on the premises but be prepared for narrow windy road to reach the place. Breakfast has enough variety, but don't expect healthy options, it is generally pastries, yoghurt, cereal and eggs. Great coffee, as this is Italy, of course. Dinner is officially served from 7.30 but nobody started serving until 8pm and the menu is rather limited, lacking simple options for tired travellers such as soup or salad - and it was expensive, considering value for money. All in all, this was a great find and we can recommend the Villa.
