"The first room had a slight odor, but the staff helped us change to another one, and then it was fine. The room windows couldn't be opened, but the temperature was comfortable. The bathroom ventilation was a bit noisy. For the price, I'm very satisfied with the location and room. Remember to call ahead to reserve parking; there are both above-ground and underground parking spaces."

"The location was perfect for us to get on/ off buses between downtrend ferry terminal at Swartz Bay; and close to our rental shop of camper vans. The room was quiet, clean, while the services were good. Front desk staff did offer to carry our suitcases up 24 steps when the lift was shut for maintenance, which we could manage ourselves."

"This was a nightmarish trip, 1st I had asked for a room on the highest floor possible, with a view of the Harbour, I am a photographer and made the trip to Victoria to get some great photos of the inner Harbour. I got a room on tenth floor overlooking the parking lot and side street. The windows were so dirty it was hard to see anything, in my eyes I was ripped off, I am not going to to stay at any Merriott hotels, at the time of my booking it said they had a buffet breakfast and when I arrived they told me there is no buffet breakfast just a restaurant on site, parking was said to be free self parking. I was charged $29.40 / night to self park my truck."

"Old hotel renovation, near Save on food, there is no elevator so it is difficult to take big baggage upstairs, but the room is tidy and clean, especially the bed is comfortable, just one night be there and not bad experience."

"The location is very good, the hotel is clean, our room has a corner view and is very large. The only thing I don't like is that the quilt cover is very small. When I go to sleep at night, I dare not turn over, otherwise the quilt cover under the bed will loosen up and the duvet core wrapped inside will leak out. The quilt cover near the neck is rolled very small, and if you pull it up, the duvet core will leak out and touch the skin, which feels very unhygienic. If you have a car, you can live farther away. There is free parking on the street near the hotel on weekends."
