Can Simoneta - Adults Only ★★★★★
"I simply cannot say enough about our experience at Hotel Can Simoneta. Perched on the cliffs overlooking the Balearic Sea, this property is nothing short of breathtaking. The setting is serene and spectacular, offering panoramic views (I called it an infinity lawn) and a sense of peace that is hard to describe but impossible to forget. From the moment we arrived, every detail was flawlessly executed. The food was exceptional. The service was equally outstanding. To help celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, we were graciously upgraded in accommodations, which elevated the entire experience to something truly unforgettable. This is a place to disconnect, to breathe, and to soak in the beauty of Mallorca. The atmosphere is luxurious yet relaxed, with an effortless elegance that defines what a five-star escape should feel like. We left feeling deeply refreshed and incredibly grateful. None of this would have been possible without the help of Henrik at Rural Hotels Mallorca. His guidance and expertise were invaluable. He provided accurate, honest descriptions of the property, helped us select the perfect hotel, and even arranged a fantastic car rental and curated recommendations that made our trip extra special. I would absolutely recommend working with Henrik and Rural Hotels Mallorca for anyone planning a visit to the island. We can only hope to return one day. Can Simoneta is a place that stays with you."
Aparthotel Canyamel Sun ★★★
Melbeach Hotel & Spa - Adults Only ★★★★
"To the direction of Steh Hotels, We stayed at the Melbeach hotel in Mallorca from Aug 23 to 27th to celebrate my wife's birthday (Aug 23rd). The location and the staff were great, so it pains me to write this complaint, however, our room was a bit of a nightmare... The first night the A/C went off in the middle of the night and I had to get up twice in the middle of the night to try and fix it as it was extremely humid and hot outside and impossible to sleep in a sweaty bed... In the morning, tired from a very difficult night, I showered for a short time until the water at the base of the shower began to overflow and create a river of water all the way to the bedroom. It is really disappointing not to be able to take a decent shower after a sweaty and miserable night. We told the staff and they seemed to suggest that someone would have a look at both problems and resolve them. The staff made no offer of a free night, no discount to reflect the difficult night, no suggestion of a possible change of room, or anything like that...there was even a suggestion that I try removing the drain filter myself...frankly that's not why i come to an expensive boutique hotel to get my hands dirty with plumbing work! Second night: the same thing...no AC in the middle of the night, 2 mid-night wake up requirements to play with AC controls, and a bigger river of water after a shorter morning shower! After providing more info to staff, this time they fixed the drain and the shower worked, and they fixed the AC and we could actually sleep the 3rd night. But still no offer to compensate us and a bit disappointing that it took two full nights and overflowing showers to fix the problem when it could have been done immediately apparently. The 4th day we woke up after a good sleep and a good shower, went for breakfast, and when we got back to the room it smelled terribly in our room of sewage...Aie aie aie.. it seems like this room is *******. Just one thing after another... Finally, the smell went away, and we finished our holiday with a decent last night and overall we had a great time despite the constant issues with our room. We liked the hotel staff and location but the room was really a disaster and it would be normal to compensate your clients for an expensive experience that left a little to be desired in terms of the room, the hotel infrastructure, and the price/quality equation. I hope this gets in front of the responsible person's eyes at the group level as you are a quality chain of hotels and should be sensitive to this sort of experience. Problems can happen, its how you handle them that matters most. Thanks for your attention, Mike "
Universal Hotel Castell Royal ★★★★
"This is off the beaten track in stunning surroundings right on a clean beach with lifeguards. The pool is small but well maintained- again with a lifeguard. The staff are lovely; very welcoming, friendly and helpful. This is a really quiet resort so not the place if you want lots to do close by. However, it is perfect if you need a break from work, life, stress etc. Who could fail to be relaxed by the sound of the waves break as you drift off to sleep! The room was bright and cheery with a stunning seaview and it was kept lovely and clean. There are water machines so take a bottle to top up. If you drink alcohol go All Inclusive or it could get pricey. Ditto if you have kids who like snacks and ice cream. This is not the hotel for people wanting lots of bars and noise. However, if you need to sooth your soul in a stunning setting with good service and nice food this is a good place to go."
Apartamentos Sinfony ★★★★
"Everything was wonderful. Elvira, the owner, provided very friendly and personal service. We felt incredibly comfortable. It was very quiet and relaxing there. All the guests in these four houses appreciate peace and quiet – which is very pleasant. The three pools mean everyone is spread out, and there's no problem finding a sun lounger. We'll be back next year."
Apartaments Sa Torre by Sureda Mas ★★★★
Canyamel Classic, Solo Adultos ★★★★
"If you’ve booked this thinking it’s a 4‑star all‑inclusive, let me save you the suspense: it isn’t. At best it’s a decent 2‑star or a tired 3‑star, and that’s being generous. If I were you, I’d move. Especially factoring the price we paid. My friend was convinced the reviews were exaggerated and people were just being dramatic. Within 30 minutes of arriving, she admitted she was wrong. (I nearly collapsed) First Room • No air conditioning — completely broken. • Bathroom ceiling caved in from a water leak. • Loose wires and no working sockets. • The room simply should never have been let out. We were told “no rooms were available” until morning. Strangely, a room appeared the moment we said we’d move hotels. Replacement Room • Air‑con: half working, so technically an upgrade. • Water pressure: non‑existent in the evenings — either nothing or a cold dribble. The only time you can get a lukewarm shower is 8am, ideal if you enjoy washing off yesterday’s sun cream instead of today’s. Food & Restaurant The food choice is very limited — my work canteen has more variety. There is a decent salad section, but with no air‑con in the restaurant, be prepared to sweat through your lettuce. Pool Area Recently renovated and fine for the first few days… until the filter broke, turning the pool cloudy enough that you couldn’t see the bottom. When raised, we were told it was “tested last week”. Most 4‑stars test daily, but sure. All‑Inclusive Drinks Drinks are made with the cheapest vodka imaginable — a brand I haven’t seen since my 1‑star Magaluf days. Not exactly 4‑star standards. Entertainment Very limited. Down to personal preference, but don’t expect much. Staff Friendly — genuinely the reason this review isn’t a complete zero‑dot wipeout. Sunbeds A rare positive: you can actually get one. They may not have been cleaned in a week, but availability is good until mid to late morning. Overall Would I stay here again? Absolutely not. I genuinely cannot understand the 5‑dot reviews. I even ended up playing a game of “Guess Who” / bingo matching 5‑dot reviewers’ names to staff badges. I’m not implying anything improper… but I was close to a full house."
Apartamentos Sureda ★★★★
"The apartment was great, perfect for our needs. Great value for money. Very clean, quiet and had all necessary things to cook basic meals and prepare good breakfast. Great was to have normal, big fridge and espresso coffee machine :-) It is about 100 m to the beach which was perfect. Beach very nice and clean and also nice restaurants and some shops around. Owners were friendly and communication without any problem. Self check in went smoothly, all necessary info were sent before arrival. We also appreciate that Canyamel is quiet, surrounded by nature and 3 min by car it's beautiful golf course! At the end we made the reservation directly with the owners and all worked perfect, so we recommend it!"
