"B****lona is far from the center, but if your aim is to have a seaside holiday, being within walking distance to the sea and having a pool is nice. It is the most affordable place in that area. Since the hotel is preferred by young people, noise is of course inevitable. Breakfast had a variety of meat and nothing was missing. I think it is impossible to find this much opportunity for this price."

"Honestly, this place felt more like an apartment block than a hotel once we stepped inside. If you're thinking about booking it just for the price difference to stay in Barcelona, be careful—commuting daily can get really tiring. The trains stop around 11 PM and aren't always reliable. We once waited 2 hours just for a 15-minute ride to Blanes, which was super frustrating. The walls are thin, so if you have noisy or snoring neighbors, it'll definitely annoy you at night. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest either, which was disappointing. Staff-wise, I only felt welcomed by the blonde lady at reception. The others were blunt and dry. One big issue: the phone in our room didn't work, so we went down to ask for an iron. They took a few hours to bring it over—by then we were already bored and had left. Also, one night we were super thirsty and the guy at reception charged us 6 euros for two small bottles of water at midnight. If I'd seen the price before paying, I'd have just ordered from Uber. What even? Late at night, the only open restaurant nearby is McDonald's, which adds to the inconvenience. Overall, not worth the hassle unless you're okay with all these downsides."

"Apartments are great, everything you need and clean. No balcony just a little step outside the sliding doors. We didn't know we would have to pay 100 euros deposit then the hotel decides if its clean enough when you leave before they return it. We asked for clean towels and were told no, they change them every 3 days. You get to use the hotel pool, roof top pool is amazing. Most of the staff were pleasant. Overall a good stay"

"Stayed at the Hotel President at the start of Oct. The hotel is very clean and bright, i arrived early and a room was found for me which was a bonus. Basic room but cleaned every day with fresh towels which is all you need. Stayed on a Half Board basis and the food was very good, i have been called a fussy eater but most nights i was going up for 2nds as it was that nice. Bar prices very good, 3 euros for a large beer was cheaper than most of the bars i visited in Calella. The hotel is in a great position for exploring the Costa Brava, train station is appox 25mins walk with a pleasant walk along the prom which is about 5mins away. Barcelona one way and other towns the other way Lloret de Mar is about an hour away via the train to Blanes. I will probably stay at the hotel again next year, the staff are great and the thing i did enjoy was in the afternoon the gardens and pool area was basking in sunshine, plenty of sunbeds and perfect for chilling out with a beer after exploring the area, "

"Just returned from a 4day stay at this apart hotel didn’t really know what to expect as this is only rated as a 2star. I can say that we we’re pleasantly surprised at how clean the whole hotel was 😁 room was spotless and catered for all our needs 👍 Staff were lovely especially in the restaurant attached to the hotel( which you get 10% off food and drink) The pool was lovely for a cool dip and mostly had this to ourselves(sun-beds were hard to lie on so we just bought a blowup lilo which did the trick) beach 5 minute walk away sun-bed and parasol sunshade 8Euros per person for the whole day at The Blue Bar Calella its self is still very Spanish which was lovely to see and the old town with the church and the town square(5/7 minutes walk) was a great place to sit and people watch with a coffee. We will definitely worth a visit for a short break."

"In 2011 I was unable to visit Oasis as it was closed the day I was there. I was disappointed thinking I'd missed the best of the three movie locations. It turns out I hadn't. I discovered on this visit that Oasis is no longer an active film set but rather it has become a western theme park with zoo and pool. It was full of young children on school coach trips the day I visited. I don't think there's anything original remaining from the spaghetti western era of fifty years ago with the possible exception of the bank although several buildings have been reconstructed to resemble the El Paso street in For A Few Dollars More where Clint Eastwood keeps a close watch on Lee Van Cleef. So, don't bother with this if you want to see an actual film set. Fort Bravo just up the road is still an active studio and is where they filmed the Dr Who episode A Town Called Mercy of a couple of years back."

"Very helpful Staff ,, but Not enough staff working.. food very disappointing especially breakfast at €18 per person , great selection of fresh fruits but hot meat options very greasy unable to eat …everyday just cooked and left in a mountain of fat .. dirty cups .. but this is a Smokers Hotel .. everywhere Guests were smoking in all outside areas including close to the restaurant and lobby and all Pools area .. if your outside you will be inhaling someone s ‘ smoke .. the spa was closed for the week we were there , no reason giving so can’t make a comment was planning on booking treatments.. if you booking this hotel for spa you need to confirm if it’s open .. out bedroom was lovely .. WiFi is limited.. poor reception/ speed throughout the Hotel.."

"We are just on our way to the airport following our stay and enjoyed our stay that much that I needed to leave a review before even lifting off on our flight. The staff are generally excellent, friendly and speak very good English. The manager was amazing and looked to make sure his guests were all happy and satisfied. One barman was a little dismissive on one of the days, but excellent the rest of the time so I put this down to him just having an off day like we all do sometimes. One of the young barmen even gave us a lift into town at the end of his shift after we asked what bars would be open late. Above and beyond. The all inclusive was excellent, plenty of options at almost all meal times, the snacks from the bar were tasty and filled your belly between mealtimes. The drink options were plentiful. Our room was cleaned daily, was spacious and mattresses were comfortable enough for myself, but a little on the firm side for my wife. Overall we had a great stay for our 5th wedding anniversary, not really anything to complain about whatsoever. We will definitely be back to this wonderful hotel!"

Yes, stairs are steep but not so dark like others complained. But good point - balcony. Perfect place too sleep in after day at the beach. Near seaside, many places to have a meal and supermarket one block away. And good coffee at the bar downstairs all time you want."

"Neat hotel, nice room, good location. I was there in July, but what I missed was a blanket on the bed; there was only a sheet on the bed and no blanket in the closet either. I told them the next day that you have to ask for a blanket at the reception desk. I found that odd, and now I was unnecessarily cold, which wasn't necessary. The breakfast was excellent, and you can also visit the spa for €12 per person."

"We had booked 2 x studio apartments but on check in, a system error had only allocated us a 2 bed apartment with a lovely courtyard. As it was late at night (after midnight) we were asked to go back the next morning. We did this and Barbara was absolutely fantastic in getting this sorted for us. By 2pm we were in another apartment and the other couple were able to stay in the 2 bed. Both apartments were great and very well stocked for self-catering with a full fridge freezer, 4 hob induction hob, all utensils, even washing up liquid/bin bags/tea towels were provided. No cleaning is offered but the towels were replaced after 3 days. My only small gripe is the balconies are very narrow so you need to make sure your chair leg is well in or it could end up in the gap between the ledge & the glass balcony. They could also benefit from a smaller table (like the ones by the pool) as the one provided is too big for the space and you could not get past it if you put it up. You were able to use all the facilities of the Neptuno hotel & spa, which is really lovely. We took advantage of the roof top pool, plus the smaller one at the back of the apartments we were in. We did not eat in the hotel but the dining room looked great and was well used by other guests. We had a fantastic week's sleep at Neptuno apartments as the beds were very comfy Calella itself is a buzzing little town, mainly 1 very long street of bars/restaurants/shops. We got lucky as it was a local festival week and there was all sorts of parades and fireworks taking place. Could not fault the apartments or the hotel."
