"About four years ago, some friends invited to stay at El Grullo, and it was quite disappointed. A few days ago, the same friends invited me to visit Amaca Quimixto, and I hardly recognized the place. Now from any spot, you can see the sea, the unnecessary plants that previously obsc the beauty of the beach views have been removed. The service is unbeatable, from the warm reception by the Manager, Fernando, to the person who helps water the plants, Rossy. The room is simple but very nice. Although the hot water failed, they immediately fixed it. Truly great from everyone. Jairo, Jimmy, and the Queen at the beach club made our time there unforgettable. The food is delicious, the waves and beach are fantastic, and the number of visitors is incredible. The Manager even came by to ensure we lacked nothing. I must mention that when the restaurant was owned by others ( the Beach Club joined the hotel a few months ago), the service was terrible, the place was always filthy, and the owners were snobbish. Today, it is a completely different experience, truly inviting one to return and acknowledging the exceptional job they are doing. The arrow signs at the entrance are to stand up, they are an incredible memory, what an imagination! Congratulations to everyone at Amaca Beach for the noticeable improvements"

Casitas Maraika Hotel & Beach Club, Puerto Vallarta ★★★

"We were staying in Puerto Vallarta, but got a day pass to hang out on the private beach and eat at the restaurant. If you do the day pass: the uber from PV to Boca de Tomatlan is easy. It may be a bit of a challenge to find which panga boat is yours but be patient and they'll come find you. You'll be able to see whales from the restaurant, so maybe bring a pair of binoculars. The staff is incredibly nice, the music is awesome, and the food is great. There are several people who hiked to arrive, which is the only other way. If you're headed back to PV, it's not hard to find a cab. You may have to group up with strangers for the way back, but that's not too bad. Beautiful place to hang out for a day!"
