"The Narwal Sagar Hotel is located right by the lake as you enter Bundi. It has a fantastic garden where you can sit comfortably and enjoy a wonderful view of Taragarh Fort, one of the most beautiful and impressive forts in Rajasthan. The rooms are basic and clean, and the showers have nice hot water. The food is very, very good, and there is a wide variety of drinks available. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The prices are excellent in terms of value for money. If you climb to the small temple at the main entrance, you’ll get the best view of the city’s fort"

"What a dreadful place. It was recommended by travellers & reviews looked good but the room we had did not match any of these reviews. It was dirty. The tap didn’t turn off. There was used soap in the soap dish, linen was stained & dirty. Toilet filthy. And a mosquito breeding ground. Single beds booked & only a double. Garden view was a joke. We couldn’t stay here and moved on an hour after arriving. A heated discussion ensued & he blocked us in until we had paid in full. No recommendation from us!"

"Dev Niwas was a welcome surprise. A maze-like reinvention of an ancient haveli, it has a unique character and beauty. The restaurant is the highlight, with an awesome view of Bundi’s hillside palace. We ate at least one meal there every day, and the table service was very good. The rooms are comfortable and clean, but be prepared to contend with the cacophony of the city around you. I would return. I doubt you could do better for the price."

"This is a historic property, well located in Bundi's town town centre. We thought it was pricey given the type of accommodation, and breakfast was not in the package. We also enjoyed a simple dinner at this hotel - moderatedy priced and good quality. The owners and staff are pleasant and clearly very proud of the property, which boasts great art and history. Our room was spacious and clean, with a large ensuite with walk-in shower. This hotel is characterful rather than flash, and there's a lovely view up to Bundi Palace (illuminated at night) from the courtyard and some of the rooms. A good option for a short stay."
