Hotel STATUS

Hotel STATUS

📍 Republic Av. 1/2, Brest
★★★ 9.2 (12 reviews)

"The Hotel Status in Brest, Belarus, is an excellent choice for both business and leisure travelers. This modern and contemporary hotel boasts spacious and spotlessly clean rooms, complete with large, well-appointed bathrooms. Check-in was seamless, with extremely helpful and friendly staff greeting us upon arrival. While the restaurant menu and breakfast options are somewhat limited, the quality of the food is exceptional. Our junior suite, with its city view, offered a truly comfortable stay thanks to the extremely comfortable beds and soundproofing, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel's overall quality and service easily earn it a 4-star international rating, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Brest."

Intourist Hotel

Intourist Hotel

📍 praspekt Mašerava 15, Brest
★★★ 7.3 (19 reviews)

"At the initial stage of check-in everything went well, we rented the cheapest room for two (Twin C), since we needed to spend a day in the city somewhere. For its price, the room is quite normal, there were no problems with it, the main thing is that there were no insects) We checked in on 07/13/2023 at 18:00, at registration no one said that check-out was at 12:00 (although the administrator later said that we were lying and they told us, allegedly she was sitting nearby and heard, although she was naturally not nearby)))) No one said that you are from 18:00 to 12, and you pay as for a whole day. As a result, at 15:00 the next day (07/14) we are asked to go down to the reception, where a woman (apparently the administrator) in a rude manner, with a nasty intonation, asks "Young people, what time did you check in?" Well, we say that at six in the evening, to which we are told "You were supposed to leave at 12", we replied that we did not know, that no one warned us, since on the receipt (to which the payment check is attached) it was written in black and white: 07/13/2023 (18) - 07/14/2023 (18). And for us it was logical that since we paid for a day, we would live there for a day. Thus, in a rude manner, we were asked to move out, no one apologized, and they shifted the blame onto us, allegedly we deliberately ignored them, although we were NOT warned. It's a pity, of course, neither they nor we can prove this. As a result, we checked out three hours early, were unable to take a shower before the train, got caught in the rain and basically found ourselves on the street, although we were not at all prepared for this. This lady completely ruined the attitude towards this hotel (although everything was fine at the beginning), and if they had asked us politely, apologized, and not said "we warned you, you did not hear", then we would have calmly moved out and would not even have written this review. The most surprising thing is that in the official document (receipt) the time is from 18 to 18, to which they told us "this is how the program writes", and what difference does it make to us what is wrong with your program? According to the law, we had the right to stay until the paid hour, it is a pity that no one cares and no one wanted to resolve this issue peacefully. I recommend the employer to have a conversation with the employee who allows such communication with guests (and even though we took the cheapest room), this is the only case that slightly spoiled the impression of the city and the country as a whole. Unfortunately, they did not ask the employee's name."

Hotel Vesta

Hotel Vesta

📍 вулiца Крупскай 16, Brest
★★★ 7.1 (6 reviews)

"Disgusting hotel!!! None of the stated amenities were even close!!! The water from the shower flowed in a sad stream, the restaurant was under renovation - naturally, with a late check-in after a hard trip - this is not very pleasant, the two-room suite where there were not even teaspoons was impressive - never book this "hotel""

Molodezhnaya Hotel

Molodezhnaya Hotel

📍 Ulitsa Komsomol'skaya 6, Brest
★★★ 8.4 (10 reviews)

"The bus and train stations are nearby, and it's close to the main pedestrian street. That's where the hotel's positives end. We stayed for one night, from August 13th to 14th. Double room 201 had air conditioning. But single room 204 didn't, only a Soviet-era table fan! There was no kettle in the rooms. The promised cooler in the hallway was nowhere to be found. But in the morning, we caught a bedbug! And found telltale bites on our body. Breakfast at the "Chemodan" cafe is simply pathetic for the price: the menu is minimal and there's no choice at all. There are no dishes or utensils, or you have to swear at them to get them. Long lines for tea/coffee. The service is rude."

Hermitage Hotel ★★★★
"The beds were much too soft and too low, the pillows were average, and the duvet was too short for two people. The scrambled eggs at breakfast were cold, and the hot dishes were consistently cold. For such a upscale hotel, the breakfast was not good. The bar staff were very friendly and accommodating. The manager, a blonde woman who seemed important, was apparently too good to say good morning to guests, preferring to be on her phone. Overall, of the three hotels we stayed at during our trip to Belarus, the Hermitage ranks last."

"The hotel is new and excellent. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. It's a 14-minute ride to the city center by public transport and 17 minutes to Brest Fortress. The breakfast is decent, and you can definitely find something to your liking. There's also parking available. I definitely recommend it."

"This is not my first stay at this hotel, but this is my last. The pros are: it is inexpensive (a single room costs 50 rubles), the room is not bad, and the location is in the center. The cons are: "Soviet" unobtrusive service, when you are standing and the receptionist lady is sitting, and when you ask basic questions like "does the room have everything you need - for example, hot water" they answer you not politely and correctly, but as if a strict pioneer camp teacher is scolding a careless child for bad behavior. But this is a problem in 90/ Belarusian hotels. These aunties from the Soviet past do not undergo training, they sit on small salaries that do not depend on whether they are polite and kind to you or not. And you also have to find them at their workplace and ask-) Also, there is a problem with toilets. I am really interested in what kind of miracle designers and plumbers install them in such a way that you still have to manage to sit on it so that your nose doesn't hit the wall-) In a word, it's both funny and a sin. And - if you have the means, it's better to go to the Vesta Hotel, where there is an idea of polite service."

Hotel Vesta ★★★
"We stayed in Brest for 3 days in December 2023. We wanted to see Brest and Brest Fortress. The successful location of Vesta allowed it . Not far from the Brest Fortress, the railway transport museum , 100 m from the Gogol Street, where there are many beautiful wooden instalments of Gogol's works. And Gogol Street crosses the famous pedestrian street Sovetskaya. In the West Hotel we settled in a room - luxuriant. The room was not expensive. In the lobby of the floor the fireplace is electric . comfortable sofas. The room has a double bed, TV, Internet, air conditioner, cabinet, dishes, e-chaiter, shower bath, toilet, etc. It works well. The hotel is not new but clean and order all over. The hotel staff is friendly and kind. There is a cafe in the hotel where you can eat relatively unexpensively. There are comprehensive breakfasts and lunches."

"Hello, we were very pleased. We loved everything, especially the room. The bed and linens were lovely. It's a small bonus from the hotel, which is quite important overall. I thought it would be a 2-star hotel and the room would be bad, but it turned out to be the opposite. You're not a 2-star hotel; it's time to upgrade to a 4-star hotel. Your hotel is very conveniently located, just a 2-minute walk from the Russian Railways, and there are plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants, and a market nearby. Thank you so much. If we come to Brest again, we'll definitely stay with you."
