The river view from the 25th floor was great. The room was very spacious, with the toilet and shower room separated. The toilet was on the left side of the room and the shower on the right. Both the room and towels were very clean. The hotel's bedding had just the right firmness, which I really liked. The pillows were also very comfortable. The location is excellent, close to Haizhu Square subway station, making it convenient to get anywhere.

The hotel is located on the northwestern side of Shamian Island, right by the river. It's very close to Huangsha subway station, just a few minutes' walk, making transportation very convenient. However, some of the sidewalks on the island are paved with uneven bricks, which can be challenging if you have luggage. Directly across from the hotel's back entrance are restaurants like Qiao Mei Jia, making it easy to queue for meals.

To the north of Shamian Island, you can cross a pedestrian bridge to reach Link Plaza, which offers a wide variety of dining options and a Yonghui Supermarket. It's very convenient for shopping, dining, and leisure.

**Environment:** For this trip, I booked a river-view room on the 8th floor. The river view outside the window was stunning. I was lucky to have great weather during my two-day stay and even caught a beautiful sunset, which made me very happy. The front desk is on the second floor. Because the hotel also houses many restaurants open to the public and has a waterfall and landscape feature, the first and second floors were very crowded and noisy, with a lot of people traffic and a somewhat chaotic atmosphere. The guest floors, however, were relatively quiet. The room faced an art center across the river. There seemed to be performances at night, which generated a lot of noise and flashing spotlights, significantly disturbing my rest.

**Facilities:** The room was well-equipped with a sofa, writing instruments, a desk lamp, and a bathtub. The toilet had a retrofitted smart bidet seat. The overall room layout was sensible, with excellent natural light and an open feel.

**Hygiene:** The cleaning was very thorough. The room was cleaned twice a day, and toiletries were promptly replaced, which I was very satisfied with.

**Service:** From check-in to check-out, all the staff I encountered were very friendly and proactively greeted me. However, on the first day, the TV connection wasn't working, and after calling for service, there was no response for over an hour. This doesn't quite align with a five-star hotel standard, although the staff who eventually came to fix it were very pleasant. They also delivered two cookies daily as a turndown treat.

Overall, the hotel is quite good. Aside from needing more attention to service and soundproofing, there weren't many major issues. I would definitely choose to stay at White Swan Hotel again on my next visit to Guangzhou.

The Guangdong Asia International Hotel is very much an international hotel, attracting a significant number of foreign guests; indeed, most visitors staying here are international travelers. The restaurants on the ground floor now predominantly feature international cuisine, a noticeable shift from the past. Its location offers relative convenience, with a wholesale market nearby and a subway station within easy reach. Overall, it's particularly well-suited for international guests.

Guangzhou Baiyun Hotel has always been my top choice for accommodation, consistently leaving a good impression in all aspects. However, I have to air some grievances this time. Firstly, the hotel is replacing its elevators. Previously, there were three elevators serving the 25th floor where I stayed, but now there's only one, which is extremely inconvenient. The front desk staff mentioned that elevator #9 also goes to the 25th floor, but it's not a guest elevator and is very slow. Secondly, the in-room facilities are quite old and seem to have been poorly maintained. The electric kettle lid doesn't seal properly, leaving a gap. In the bathroom, it's very difficult to switch between the overhead shower and the lower faucet. Once I finally got the overhead shower to work, there was no hot water, so I ended up having to wash up in the sink. All these issues were frustrating and helpless.

Located in a quiet area with a modern design, the room is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with a Xiao Du (AI) assistant. Breakfast is simple and the coffee is nice. The chef with tattoos is very friendly.

Front desk staff are very attentive and they even kept in touch with us through WeChat for any questions or requests. They also recommended the dim sum at 西关粤 (Victory Hotel), which turned out to be quite nice.

There’s a beautiful park and lovely streets just in front of the hotel, and you can often see many people, photographers, and couples taking wedding photos. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

A very nice hotel. Located at the old French/English occupied region in the past. Nice surrounding with great restaurants. Quite and cosy area to stay. Lovely service staff, help me when they saw me in walking stick. One middle age lady even helped me in washing my laundry in the middle of the night. I’m grateful to her. Please help me say thanks to her again. Will definitely stay there again when I’m back in Guangzhou.

Hygiene: Surprisingly clean and tidy.
Facilities: I had seen some negative reviews mentioning outdated facilities, but my room was actually quite good. The hotel exterior looks old, but the interior must have been renovated.
Environment: You need to swipe your card to use the elevator, which adds to the security.
Service: The front desk staff was very nice and even allowed a late check-out.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling city. The environment is lovely, with garden-style architecture. There are many attractions nearby; it's about a 15-20 minute walk to Beijing Road Pedestrian Street and a 20-minute walk to Huaxi Road Food Street. The hotel staff are very welcoming. For anyone staying in Guangzhou's old town, this hotel is a top choice – highly recommended!

Excellent value for money! The room was clean with no strange odors, and the bedding was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The front desk service was warm and attentive, making the entire check-in process smooth and flawless. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit, highly recommend it with five stars!

This hotel is truly bizarre. On the day I checked in, the hallway was crammed with various documents, and over a dozen men and women were loudly discussing and organizing materials. Even with the door closed, the noise was so disruptive I couldn't rest. The staff mentioned this had been going on for several days. I was moved to another room, but the window was completely sealed shut and couldn't be opened for ventilation. When I called the front desk to ask for the window to be opened, the staff presented us with a liability waiver to sign, stating we'd be responsible for any consequences if the window was opened, before they would even consider opening it. This hotel has clearly lost its mind. It's a shame, given its prime location and its presence in Guangzhou, Guangdong – a pioneer in market economic reform and opening-up. I really regret spending over 400 yuan to stay here.

I chose this hotel when I traveled to Meizhou on May Day. Fortunately, I booked it early or there would be no rooms. The location is right by the river. The scenery is particularly beautiful at night. The front desk service is particularly warm and thoughtful. It may be that there are few people working and they feel too busy. The Jiaying Ancient City recommended is also very good. It is just opposite the hotel. It is particularly lively on May Day. You can try Jinshan beef offal and cloud soufflé. They are particularly delicious. Highly recommended

The hotel is a renovated historic building, and some of the design elements (such as the windows) retain their nostalgic character. 🏠🏠 The rooms are bright, clean, and very comfortable.
The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, sharing detailed information about nearby attractions. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 It was pouring rain when we checked out, but the front desk staff not only reminded us to drive to the hotel's location, but also held an umbrella for us and helped us load our luggage into the car. Very thoughtful. 🥰🥰🥰

I have to give this hotel a thumbs-up for their service! During my stay, I needed to print a document, and the front desk immediately took care of it, carefully checking the format. Later, I realized I forgot my charger, so the staff went out of their way to find a compatible one for me to borrow. They didn't shy away from the unexpected request, but proactively addressed it. This professional and reliable service is a real plus. I'll definitely stay here again next time. It truly deserves its five-star rating!

Facilities: The smart home features were a bit finicky. At night, the toilet would often auto-flush and open its lid even when no one was around. The lights also had a sound sensor, turning on with any noise when I was trying to sleep. Furthermore, the shampoo and shower gel bottles were constantly knocked off by the shower hose and were difficult to dispense. These are areas that definitely need improvement.

Facilities (positive aspects): On the positive side, the bathtub was excellent, complete with disposable bath liners and bath salts. Disposable toilet seat covers and other small amenities showed great attention to detail.

Environment (positive aspects): It was also lovely to enjoy a drink and moonlight on the rooftop in the evening. Both the room and balcony were very spacious, as was the bathroom. The toilet was pristine, with no odd stains, which speaks volumes about their hygiene standards.

Environment (location): The hotel's location within a pedestrian street was perfect for shopping and sightseeing. However, parking outside the hotel proved to be a major inconvenience.

Service (overall impression): I specifically chose this hotel because of the White Swan brand, and overall, I had a very positive experience. 👍
