We returned to Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk for part of our honeymoon stay, and it was nothing short of amazing. The service was exceptional from start to finish, and the team went above and beyond to make our stay special. We were surprised with a romantic setup in our room, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the experience even more memorable.

The rooms are spotlessly clean, beautifully modern, and incredibly comfortable — we genuinely had the best night’s sleep. Sofitel The Obelisk continues to exceed expectations, and we can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend!

Service is too inconsistent. Does not match the quality and service experienced in other Sofitels. Would give it at best a 4 star hotel rating if not for the location.

Issues with the hotel:
1. Breakfast was shifted to level 3 for non club members and the breakfast quality and environment dropped drastically. Simple breakfast dishes like eggs Benedict could not be served correctly after the breakfast location was shifted. Even the front desk admitted that the environment was much poorer. 

2. The hot water kettle kept leaking water, despite me changing it with the hotel twice. 

3. The hotel concierge and operator on the phone is not readily available. Had to call a couple of times before someone picked it up.

4. Room Amenities like cotton buds were sometimes provided and sometimes not provided. Lacked consistency. Also dental kits are not automatically provided. You’d have to consistently ask them to provide. 

5. The coastline room is more of a gimmick, the hotel is too far off from the coast to see anything remotely “coastline”. 

Overall I would recommend users to visit Fairmont or Sheraton Grand nearby for the same price instead.

Great location on JBR2 overlooking JB beach. Rooms were very quiet and bed was huge and really comfortable, must have been the wife snored her head off. Stayed in a Luxury Sea View room overlooking the whole of Jumeriah beach and Dubai wheel.
Excellent choice of food for breakfast , caters for every nationality.
Service was excellent and staff were very friendly. 
Loads of places to eat just outside the hotel along Jumeriah walk and across from beach.
JBR2 Metro station only a 5 min walk from hotel.
Air con was great .
If I stay in Dubai again I wouldn't hesitate staying here it has everything we needed.

I had an absolutely perfect stay at Sofitel The Palm Dubai Resort & Spa. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The resort is breathtaking, surrounded by lush greenery and offering stunning views of the Palm. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with every comfort, making my stay truly relaxing.

The dining options are exceptional, with a wide variety of restaurants serving delicious cuisines from around the world. The breakfast spread was outstanding, full of fresh and high-quality choices. The spa and wellness facilities are world-class, offering a sense of peace and rejuvenation.

What truly stood out was the exceptional service – every staff member was attentive, professional, and always ready to go the extra mile to ensure a memorable experience. Whether by the pool, on the beach, or at the restaurants, the hospitality was flawless.

Sofitel The Palm is a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and tranquility. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dubai and will definitely be returning on my next trip.

The experience staying at Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe was remarkable. From the service (at the reception, bellboy, room service staff) to the room itself, the quality was just top-notch. Felt welcoming every single time I returned to rest after the end of each day, and even during checking out, the staff left a good impression. Will be back to stay at this hotel!

I’m not sure if Paris is just expensive in general, but… this place doesn’t really feel like a 5-star hotel.
There’s a musty, almost moldy smell in the room, and the water pressure is so low that it took me forever to take a shower. 😩
But then again, the last 5-star hotel I stayed at didn’t even have hot water, so… I guess low water pressure is something I can live with.

They did upgrade my room, but honestly… aside from being bigger, there’s not much to like.
Since it’s just the two of us, we don’t really need a larger room anyway.
The whole place — from the room itself to the building and even the elevator — feels old and a bit unpleasant.
For a 5-star hotel, it’s really disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend it.

There’s an InterContinental right across the street, and the staff there actually greeted guests properly.
It was around the same price, and honestly, I wish I had stayed there instead.
The staff here are very kind, but apart from that, I have to be honest about what really matters to me.

I do appreciate the room upgrade, 
but truely the hotel facilities are disappointing.

Great location and service made this a great first trip to Paris for my family. We will definitely be back next time we visit Paris.

What is the experience of a five-star hotel without heating on a day of 10 degrees to 8 degrees? It really happened to me, and it was a Sofitel. Anyway, I caught a cold directly on the second day after staying, and the windows were closed tightly. The equipment Everything else is nonsense. I complained to the front desk the next day. Anyway, the attitude was very sincere, but the problem had occurred and the facilities were very backward. The front desk service was very enthusiastic and communicated with me from the perspective of the guest. Anyway, it is a five-star hotel in Paris. It's really hard to describe

We enjoyed our stay during our recent family trip to Shanghai. The hotel was so marvellous and services was so good and staffs were very attentive and helpful. I stayed  hotels in many countries but your hotel is so far I should said the best especially your concierge manager Mr Jerry. 
 He is very helpful and helped us alot during our stay. I would like to say A Very Big Thank You to him. He make our trip and stay very enjoyable with stress free. I will sure to book into your hotel on my next trip to Shanghai and will recommend to all my friends.

French Elegance and Thoughtful Service, Both Outstanding!

For my trip to Shanghai, I chose the Sofitel Shanghai Hongqiao's Superior King Room. The 44 sqm space, with its modern French decor, was both elegant and sophisticated; I was captivated by the exquisite ambiance the moment I walked in. The absolute highlight of the room has to be the Sofitel's exclusive bedding. The mattress was just the right firmness, paired with soft linens, instantly melting away my travel fatigue and ensuring a deep sleep every night.

What truly deserves the highest praise is the hotel's customer service! I encountered a minor issue during my stay, and after reporting it, the staff responded immediately. They were patient in their communication and efficient in their resolution, with no excuses or delays whatsoever. Jenny from the Executive Lounge made me feel genuinely at home.

I'll definitely be back!
