The receptionist was very nice. We arrived at 10 AM and were allowed to check in early, which we really appreciated. The room was a bit small for two people with medium sized suitcases, but it was very clean and well-maintained. Housekeeping does not automatically replace the bed sheets or bathrobes every day unless you request it. However, towels are replaced daily.
When booking, I requested a room that was not on the corner, but we were assigned a corner room instead. However, this was not a major issue.
There are 2 convenience stores next to the hotel, making it easy to buy anything you need. The hotel is also conveniently located near a bus stop and Gongdeok Station (Exit 1). If you're traveling with large luggage, there is an elevator at Exit 5, although you'll need to cross the street to access it.
Overall, we had a very nice stay.

A friend recommended this place. I'd say it's pretty average, but for the price, the facilities and room size are decent enough.

The 6017 airport bus drops you off right across from the hotel. (Definitely don't miss your stop! I went one stop too far and had to walk ages, it was exhausting).

There are indeed lots of food options nearby, on the other side, not too far. It's also close to the subway station.

However, perhaps because it's so close to the subway, you can hear the subway cars in the morning. (I know they've done a lot for soundproofing, but still). If you're a light sleeper, you might want to reconsider.

My room was assigned right next to the elevator (I wonder if it's because I checked in late 😩). In the middle of the night, you can hear the elevator and people moving around 😣. So, if you're a light sleeper, I'd suggest asking the front desk for a different room.

The most frustrating part was charging my devices – first time I've encountered this.

There was only one outlet by the bed 🔌 (only realized before going to sleep). And it was unstable! I don't know why, but it kept disconnecting even after I plugged it in. It was like I finally got it to connect, only for it to fall out again in the middle of the night – it almost gave me a heart attack. (I wish I had checked during a room tour, but I was too tired at the time to inspect anything).

Then there were two outlets by the desk, but they were too far from the bed.

One good thing was the toilet 🚽. It was heated and automatic, just like at home 👍.

The front desk staff were very helpful and assisted with calling a taxi (at the time, I couldn't get an Uber no matter what; it was really hard to get a cab to Hannam-dong, so frustrating. Maybe it was because it was evening 🤔). Their English was also very good, so communication wasn't an issue.

I guess this hotel would be very convenient if you're going to a concert at Gocheok Sky Dome (because my friend went there). But if you're going to a theater, it's probably better to choose a closer hotel.

We stayed at Shilla Stay Gwanghwamun for 3 days and 2 nights, and later booked another 2 days and 1 night after our staycation at Nami Island.

• Front desk service: The staff spoke English well and were very accommodating. They kindly allowed us to store our luggage during our Nami Island trip since we had another booking at the same hotel.
• Room quality: The room was clean and spacious. However, I personally didn’t like the wooden floor—it felt a bit uncomfortable to walk on without room slippers.
• Location: The hotel is centrally located in the city, within walking distance to Bukchon Hanok Village and Gyeongbokgung Palace, and close to several subway stations.
• Food options nearby: Plenty of choices, from traditional Korean BBQ to fast food like Burger King. Just note that many restaurants close around 9–10 PM.


✨ Overall: A convenient city hotel with friendly staff, good service, and easy access to major attractions. The luggage storage service was especially helpful for our trip planning.

it's opposite coex mall and exhibition center. there is train station next to it, got GS25 convenience store at the corner. 

room is small, but clean. only 2 water bottles will be given each day. bathroom with smart toilet seats, but water out for water is kind of hot. room is hot n cannot be adjusted, because it's centralised heater. outside of the room got construction n busy road, so a bit noisy if you open window for fresh or cooler air. 

TV in the room is big n can watch YouTube.

You should try robot delivery of Korean fried chicken and beer 
They will call you “I am in front of your room” and knocked the door with forehead 
A bit crispy at night 
But fun experience to see robot call the elevator and comes back by themselves 😝😝😝😝

REALLY loved the location of the hotel, very convenient to all places (gangnam is just 3 bus stops away), except hongdae. The limousine to airport is just right outside the hotel. The hotel is situated between 3 subway stations and the distance to all subways stations is either walkable (up slope or down slope) or reachable by bus. BUT there are many bus services available to reach those subway stations or even direct buses to attractions. The outside view of the hotel is really gorgeous.

There's also a convenient store beside the hotel and opposite the hotel (cross road) in the alley, there are many many many local food options.

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Getting here from the airport was a breeze; the bus goes directly to the stop right below the hotel. The location is absolutely fantastic, close to all the attractions. As soon as I walked into the lobby, I noticed a wonderful scent. The front desk staff were incredibly polite, professional, warm, and very patient. The room was spotless, and the bedding was impeccably clean, making for a very comfortable stay. Plus, being on a higher floor, the view was exceptional!

The hotel is right by the sea with unbeatable views, but it's a bit far from the city center. Since it was my first time in Jeju Island, I wasn't familiar with the local situation. I'd recommend staying in the city center if you can. Jeju Island's public transportation isn't very convenient, so being too far out makes getting around and finding food/activities quite difficult.

The room was tiny, and the shower was awkwardly placed inside the bathtub. There were no proper glasses, just paper cups with plastic bags. The room was full of bugs, and I had to go out in the middle of the night to find mosquito repellent. The location was decent, with plenty of food options nearby. Everything else was awful. I paid 900 a night for this, which was even worse than the 400 a night place I stayed at in Busan just a few days prior. The breakfast was shockingly simple – a few cold lettuce leaves, some bread, and no hot dishes at all. This was by far the worst hotel I stayed at during my entire trip to Korea.

The hotel's location is super convenient, close to everything. There's a convenience store right outside, and getting a taxi is easy. Plus, there's a bakery across the street perfect for breakfast. The beach is also directly opposite the hotel, and the monorail station is very close by.

Facilities: There's a gym available, and you can pay extra for breakfast and lunch. The lunch here is surprisingly good and much more cost-effective than eating out, especially compared to a BBQ meal. The entire hotel looks very new and fresh, making it a pleasant stay.

Cleanliness: The room was clean and tidy, which made for a very comfortable experience. It's a bit far from the city center, but that has its advantages – it's incredibly quiet, perfect for a business trip. There are plenty of food options nearby; you can find everything just by walking around downstairs. I only had BBQ once in four days, but I explored the area multiple times.

Service: Everyone greets you with 'Ari-ari-assayo.' The front desk staff don't speak Chinese, but they all speak English. A lovely lady at the Chinese restaurant speaks excellent Chinese. Bed linen and towels were changed promptly. Overall, the service was great.
