The experience was absolutely fantastic!!!

During check-in, we were lucky to be assisted by a lovely front desk staff member, Fancy, who handled everything smoothly and even upgraded our room. The view was amazing. It directly facing Shanghai’s iconic skyline and has a beautiful view of the Huangpu River.

Throughout our stay, we truly felt the professionalism and warmth of the hotel staff, from the front desk to housekeeping. It made our short getaway both enjoyable and unforgettable, with a real sense of feeling at home.

Next time we visit Shanghai, Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel will definitely remain our top choice!!!

Spacious, clean, and quiet – a really great stay. Considering it was a May Day holiday, getting a room with breakfast and dinner included at this price was an absolute steal! The small potatoes at the restaurant and the breakfast noodles were delicious 😄.

This is my second stay here. I brought my kids last time and it was so convenient. The subway is right downstairs, and Line 2 goes to both airports. I chose it again for my business trip this time. There's all sorts of food downstairs, plus a Hema Fresh supermarket. If you want to go for a walk, there's a park nearby too. It's super convenient for dining, accommodation, and entertainment.

We stayed at Renaissance Shanghai Putuo at the end of November and honestly loved our time there. We booked the Premier Room and it was so spacious — perfect for a family with one child. The bath tub was such a plus too, especially after long days of exploring.

One of our favourite parts was the indoor heated pool. Even in fall/winter, we could still enjoy swimming every day, and the jacuzzi/whirlpool was amazing. A huge shoutout to the staff who take care of the swimming facilities — they were so kind and even made handmade origami birds to entertain my son. Such a sweet touch!

We stayed for 10 days and really enjoyed the area too. The underground metro is just a few steps away, and the food choices downstairs are endless. Super convenient for families.

Overall, a lovely stay — spacious room, warm staff, great facilities, and the perfect location for exploring Shanghai. Highly recommend for families ❤️✨

The facilities are complete, comfortable, spacious, and bright, feeling quite new! The hygiene is excellent, and toiletries are fully stocked. The environment is quiet and pleasant, a true oasis in Shanghai. It's close to the subway station and InCity shopping mall, making shopping and dining very convenient! The service quality is top-notch; my room was upgraded, and I even received complimentary breakfast. The buffet breakfast is abundant and high-class. There's a gym and an indoor swimming pool; even if only one person is swimming, there are two lifeguards and one attendant on duty. The water quality is clear and good! A truly amazing experience!

Everything was excellent from check-in to check-out. The staff were very proactive, helpful, and enthusiastic. The room was quiet, ensuring a good night's sleep. Breakfast met our expectations, and I especially loved the swimming pool – my child didn't want to leave! It's very close to Shanghai Zoo and Qibao Ancient Town, and only 15 minutes from the airport. Great value for money. I'll definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Shanghai.

The bedding was super comfortable. It was very thoughtful of them to offer two extra days of free breakfast for our child who is under 1.2 meters, and they even extended our check-out by an hour. Our whole family had a wonderful stay. The executive lounge was very convenient; the food wasn't too heavily flavored and there was plenty of fruit, which was perfect for our little one's meals. We'll definitely be back. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, the succulents were beautiful! Plus, the window seats in the lounge offer a stunning view of the Forbidden City.

Passing through Beijing on my way back to Wuhan, I couldn't drive into the 2nd Ring Road, so I chose this hotel. Parking is free, and it even has an executive lounge. The location right by the 3rd Ring Road is great. The breakfast offered ten different kinds of Eggs Benedict, which was excellent. They also had freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices, also excellent. The executive lounge had enough food to fill me up. Right outside the hotel is an Ideal charging station, and there's also a Zeekr charging station in the underground parking. Very good, very good!

So lucky! Since I arrived quite late, the Executive King Room I originally booked was unavailable, and they upgraded me to the Presidential Suite instead. It's originally 48,000 a night – ridiculously huge, and honestly, a bit of a waste for just one person, haha! But overall, it was a fantastic experience. Perfect for couples looking to celebrate an anniversary. There's a massive living room plus a side lounge, making it great for a girls' birthday party or something similar. It even has a kitchen and a private bar in the side lounge, as you can see in the pictures.

The hotel boasts an excellent location right next to Central Park and within easy reach of the subway, making it convenient for sightseeing. The lobby is beautifully designed, with an elegant, warm, and comfortable atmosphere that connects to the lobby bar and the Flame restaurant. The Renaissance Chinese Restaurant (Wanli Xuan) also has a fantastic ambiance, delicious food, and reasonable prices, making it a great spot for a meal. The guest rooms are about 40 square meters, well-laid out, and fully equipped. The two 1.4-meter-wide beds are particularly good, with high-quality bedding ensuring a comfortable night's sleep. The shower head setup provides good water pressure, and I especially liked the adjustable handheld shower. The large bottles of toiletries have a pleasant scent, which was a nice touch. Overall, it's a truly wonderful place for a vacation, with great food, drinks, and activities!

This is a very good hotel. It seems to be an unexpected gem in a very isolated part of Suzhou. I had to travel to this area to meet a family member who recently started a new job. The hotel is 1hour away from Suzhou stations. Thus, unless you have a need to be in this area, I would not recommend you staying in this hotel purely because its location is far from all the attractions of central Suzhou. However, if you are in this area and need a hotel then i would most definitely recommend this one. The staff were friendly and spoke english. The hotel buffet was very good, with enough options to satisfy both western and eastern stomachs. I would recommend this hotel to someone intending to stay in this area.

Located right by the Taihu Bridge, connected to the Marriott, the hotel's entrance road is a necessary route to the bridge. During holidays, you might encounter traffic jams, but on the other hand, it also means you can avoid peak times when heading to the island. The breakfast is reasonably priced and offers good value for money; the Chinese options are better than the Western ones, but there's no fresh juice. If you don't feel like having a full meal, you can drive to the nearby Taikoo Centre mall, about 4km away. We happened to be there on a Saturday, and there was a 5-minute fireworks show at 7:30 PM. From our lake-view room, we could enjoy it up close without even leaving, which made the kids incredibly happy. Some of the hotel's facilities are showing their age – no Type-C ports, no electronic toilet, and an old-fashioned hairdryer. It's almost 10 years old, after all, but thankfully, the maintenance is still good. Since we traveled in spring, we didn't need air conditioning, so I can't comment on that. The twin beds are fine for two adults and two children, but they can't be pushed together. The bathroom takes up a good amount of space, and the balcony is also quite spacious, though I wish they'd replace the current sofa with outdoor-appropriate seating, as the fabric one looks like it's been through a lot of weather. The fitness center is good. Overall, if you're traveling with kids, the Renaissance is a top choice; if you prefer quiet, head to the Marriott next door.
