When I booked, I requested a high floor, a quiet room, and a good sea view. Upon check-in, the front desk lady recommended a sea view room on the 15th floor. Although it was a bit smaller than the sea view rooms on lower floors, it felt larger than I expected once I was in it, about 20-something square meters. I borrowed a power adapter from the hotel, and they were very prompt in refilling bottled water for free during my stay. Aside from the room decor looking a bit dated, everything else was fine. The location is also very convenient, right next to the Star Ferry Terminal, Avenue of Stars, and Harbour City.

My stay at The Gateway Hotel in Hong Kong was excellent. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The location was very convenient, with easy access to shopping areas and public transportation. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the stay even better. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The moment I stepped into the elevator, I realized we were on the 16th floor, the executive floor. I thought perhaps the front desk had given us the wrong key card! I was so happy that for just over 1,000, we could stay on the executive floor. The room itself was big and clean, much better than I had imagined. The hotel's location is excellent, right inside Harbour City, and very close to Victoria Harbour and the Avenue of Stars. With shopping centers all around, it was incredibly convenient for my family to go shopping. I've been to Hong Kong several times before, but I've never stayed at the Prince Hotel. I actually regret that now, but from now on, this will be my go-to hotel whenever I visit Hong Kong. It's truly a hotel I love.

I just want to ask, does adding room preferences in the app beforehand even matter? I had already requested a high-floor and quiet room in the app well in advance. I went to the front desk to check in around 12 PM, and the receptionist told me there were no available rooms yet, only a third-floor room that would be ready after housekeeping finished cleaning. So, I contacted customer service to coordinate with the hotel, and after waiting for nearly two hours, I finally got checked into a room on the seventh floor.

I didn't arrive in the morning; checking in around noon should be a pretty reasonable time. Is it really acceptable to have to wait that long to get my room key?

I had a great stay! The service was really nice and staff were all friendly and accommodating. The facilities were impressive— especially the gym, which was amazingly clean and well-maintained. The food was excellent, with plenty of options to choose from. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and definitely worth recommending!
