I find that the receptionist was rather antagonising in a passive aggresive way.
I requested for an early check in at 8am because it is a layover stay and i checked out at 6pm the same day. He initially said to pay an early check in fee but i felt it was unfair cause i was leaving the same day - 10 hours stay.
He then asked his manager who then pushed me a different building and a room which was the furtherest from the lift.

I usually dont write such a review but for a hotel to treat the client like that especially on a low season is really uncalled for.
Do better next time.

Lovely stay. It’s a bit old property, rooms are a bit small. Sea view definitely worth it, you can enjoy the scenery and drone show. But big green and really nice territory of the hotel. Nice beach. A lot of different food options. Friendly personal. A bit far from the city center, travelling to Burj Khalifa or anywhere else takes 30-40 minutes. Otherwise great location and option.

Our family had an unforgettable stay from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived, the check-in, concierge service, and hotel staff were all superb. Truly a 10/10! They were incredibly attentive, responsive, always smiling, and genuinely caring. A special shout-out to Alex, Shivani, Jamshir, Jampesh, and Amine from Latest Recip, who were incredibly kind to our baby Imran.

The Le Méridien Qingdao is truly amazing!

I've traveled to many places and stayed in countless hotels, but the Le Méridien Qingdao is definitely one of the best, if not *the* best, in my opinion!

Every single staff member here is incredibly warm and friendly, making you feel genuinely welcome. Their responsiveness and speed in addressing guests' needs are truly impressive, and I'm very touched and grateful for it.

If I ever visit Qingdao again, I will absolutely choose to stay at the Le Méridien Qingdao, and I'll enthusiastically recommend it to all my friends and family.

Thank you so much for creating such wonderful memories for me. Because of you, my trip from beginning to end was even more beautiful and brilliant.

A heartfelt thank you to all the staff! Looking forward to seeing you again!

The hotel's location is excellent; you can walk directly to the beach from the ground floor. The room we were assigned faced the sea, offering unbeatable ocean views. The seafood and BBQ restaurants nearby are also great, and getting around is convenient. Highly recommended.

I've had the Le Méridien Sheshan on my radar for a while, and this National Day holiday I finally got to experience this classic, top-notch family-friendly hotel. Even though the hotel is quite old, its location is exceptional, nestled at the foot of Sheshan mountain. Every room has a balcony with great views and fresh air; sitting out there is simply refreshing. The room interiors are also very well maintained. Outside the room, there's everything you could need, no need to go to any paid parks. You can just relax at the hotel; the kids will never get bored, and adults can enjoy a truly relaxing vacation. During the National Day holiday, there were quite a few weddings being held, and parking was free. Plus, it's very convenient for driving to all the major attractions in Songjiang. A special shout-out to Bob for the excellent service – proactive, smooth communication, and thoughtful. The kids have already said they want to bring their grandparents back for another stay next time.

The room was quite spacious, but there's room for improvement in the details, such as the absence of tissues in the room.

Service: I unexpectedly got my period and asked guest services to send a sanitary pad to my room, but they couldn't provide one. It's not that it's a must-have, but personally, I feel this isn't too difficult to arrange and would make guests feel secure and cared for. I hope they can improve on this in the future.

Facilities: The elevator wasn't very smooth. Firstly, swiping the card and pressing the floor didn't always work, and secondly, sometimes after pressing a floor, it wouldn't stop there. Several guests encountered similar issues.

Cleanliness: Good

Environment: Nice

Overall, the experience was pretty good.
