This hotel is a top pick on Ctrip for its excellent value! The hotel itself is beautifully decorated with a touch of light luxury. The rooms and restaurant are well-planned and efficiently managed. Our room was spotless, making for a very comfortable and convenient stay. The food selection is thoughtfully put together, offering a rich variety that caters to guests from different countries and with diverse dietary needs. The hotel boasts a prime location with a delightful atmosphere, surrounded by lush green mountains, beautiful scenery, and fresh air. The nearby residential areas are neatly arranged, offering convenient shopping and a vibrant local vibe. Plus, it's less than a 10-minute walk to the subway station and various supermarkets, making getting around incredibly easy! Highly recommend! 💐🌷🌹👍👍👍

Checking in at midnight was seamless thanks to the three receptionists on duty. Staff are fluent in English/Cantonese/Mandarin. We were assigned room 1505, which is a corner room. The only downside was the double bed; it felt smaller than expected (smaller than two singles). The bed was softer than our preference. Sound insulation isn't the best as we heard neighbors talking loudly in the hallway. Good wifi with a couple of cable network stations. The glass working desk is quite small. It has a kettle with tea and coffee. There's a safe and slippers. The water refill fountain was next to the elevator. The pool is currently closed and the gym is on the 29th floor. They offer breakfast with an extra change but we didn't try it. There are several eateries within a 10 minute walk. Great service, just be aware of the bed sizing!

Free upgrade to a premium room (with view): Very good, the city view was especially beautiful, and the front desk staff had excellent service.
Hotel shuttle bus service: Very convenient, it can reach many major tourist attractions.
Due to Hong Kong's plastic ban, free toothbrushes are not provided, but you can buy one for one dollar from a vending machine, so you don't need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. The hotel is right next to Happy Valley, and it's not too far to walk to Causeway Bay, so the overall location is very good.

The renovation is very new, but the room lighting is too dim, likely to create a 'luxurious' atmosphere. It's so dark I couldn't even see my beard when shaving... This really misses the point.

Furthermore, for a seemingly 'boutique' hotel, it's unacceptable that there are no bathrobes in the room. I assume the hotel management made a conscious decision here, but this is a service that absolutely shouldn't be cut.

Although the breakfast selection is limited, the taste is good. Aside from the salad and fruit, everything else was well-made. The scrambled eggs could rival those at a five-star hotel (though without the condiment bar present). The coffee quality is among the best I've had at countless hotel breakfasts, and the chef in the Chinese food section must be very professional.

The bus service is a nice touch. It would be even better if checkout could be extended to 12:00 PM.

Oh, and the gym equipment is excellent. The Guinness stout at the rooftop bar was good, but another local Hong Kong draft beer tasted distinctly off and sour, possibly due to low consumption and deteriorated pipes. If the bar insists the beer wasn't spoiled, then its sour taste matches the bartender's subpar skills.

Also, I often work late. Despite having the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on, why did the cleaning lady keep knocking and waking me up? I was furious at the time; she kept knocking until I opened the door.

I honestly think this hotel offers incredible value for its price.

~Service: The front desk staff were warm, patient, and clearly thought about the guests' needs; there was even someone on duty late at night. The luggage storage attendant was also incredibly kind. I just asked about the hotel shuttle, and he took me out in the pouring rain to catch it.

~Amenities: Some floors have free water dispensers, and on the first floor, there's a complimentary tea room, as well as coin-operated washing machines and dryers. They offer a free hotel shuttle from 10 AM to 6 PM, and umbrellas are available in the lobby – all very convenient.

~Location: The hotel is located at an intersection, just a few steps away from McDonald's, ParknShop supermarket, and 7-Eleven. Across the street, there are various restaurants serving Korean, *********, Chaoshan, Vietnamese, and Singaporean cuisine, all at reasonable prices, usually under 100 HKD.

~Transportation: The hotel shuttle stops at Mong Kok, Tsim Sha Tsui, and Elements Mall at Kowloon Station. The bus has automatic doors, and you just wave to get on at designated spots. The Olympic and Nam Cheong MTR stations are about a ten-minute walk away. There are also bus and mini-bus stops near the hotel, which are very convenient if you know how to use them. For a concert I attended, I took a special bus from Kai Tak to Prince Edward after the show, then transferred to a mini-bus, arriving at the hotel in just 20 minutes.

The Cosmopolitan Hotel Hong Kong boasts an excellent location, within walking distance to the Causeway Bay shopping district and MTR station, making it super convenient for getting around and shopping. The rooms are clean and tidy, well-equipped, and the service is thoughtful and attentive. It offers great value for money and is a top-notch accommodation choice for your trip to Hong Kong.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to both business and leisure travelers.
The hotel is very well located and surrounded by plenty of amenities, including premium spas, massage parlours, nail and hair salons, restaurants, convenience stores, and shopping facilities, making everything easily accessible.
The rooftop pool and city views are spectacular, especially at sunrise and sunset. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a good variety of local and international options, fresh pastries, fruits, hot dishes, and quality coffee.
What truly stood out was the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. Everyone was welcoming, flexible, and always willing to assist. A special mention goes to the housekeeping team for their attention to detail and for keeping the room spotless throughout my stay.
Overall, a comfortable hotel with great facilities, excellent service, and a convenient location. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kuala Lumpur

The location of the hotel is very close to Pavilion, which is one of the main reasons we choose it. Staff are very friendly and helpful too.
However, the hotel itself feels old and worn down overall. We were given a room with a strong mouldy smell at first, then when we flag this issue with the front desk staff, they put us in another room which is much better.
A few comments for the hotel/room facilities overall:
1. lights in the room are very dim
2. curtains are heavy and hard to pull, they are not designed to overlap properly so we had to be very careful to avoid leaving gaps in between the curtains (for privacy purpose as the room window is directly facing windows of the next building)
3. bathroom door was heavy and makes loud noise when opening
4. noticeable noises coming from the lift and the lift doors - makes me feel unsafe when using it
5. there were holes on the bed linen
6. the hallway on the 10th floor smells mouldy all the time

J-Hotel by Dorsett is a standard 3-star budget boutique hotel located near the Imbi and Bukit Bintang areas in Kuala Lumpur. Its main advantage is its location, as it sits within a 10-minute walk to major shopping malls like Pavilion KL and The Exchange TRX, and is close to the TRX MRT Station. The rooms are basic, compact, and minimalist, covering the essentials such as air conditioning, a kettle, a safe, and a television, with cleanliness levels that generally meet standard expectations for this price range.However, being a budget-oriented property, its facilities are quite limited. There is only a small gym and a basic cafe on-site, and the indoor parking space is tight and fills up quickly. Guests frequently note that the room soundproofing is weak, meaning noise from the corridors or neighboring rooms can be easily heard. Additionally, the elevators are small, leading to longer wait times during the peak check-out hours. Overall, it serves as a practical, no-frills place to sleep for short-stay travelers who prioritize location over luxury.

Silka Cheras Kuala Lumpur is a practical and well-located hotel, suitable for both business travellers and short leisure stays. Its location in the Cheras area offers convenient access to nearby eateries, shopping options, and major roads, making daily travel relatively easy.

The rooms are comfortable, clean, and equipped with essential amenities such as air-conditioning and basic in-room facilities. The overall environment is quiet and conducive for rest, providing a decent level of comfort at a reasonable price point. Staff members are generally polite and helpful, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out experience.

A notable highlight of the hotel is its early breakfast service starting at 6.00 am, which is particularly beneficial for guests with tight schedules or early work commitments.

However, the Wi-Fi coverage could be improved, as connectivity may be moderate or inconsistent in certain areas of the hotel. Enhancing internet reliability would significantly improve the experience, especially for business travellers.

Overall, Silka Cheras Kuala Lumpur offers good value for money with its convenient location and practical amenities, though improvements in Wi-Fi performance would further elevate guest satisfaction.

I stayed in this hotel for the second time, but this time my experience was not the same as first time.

The hotel is good enough actually for the price. But if you want an advice, then I recommend to go for the better room (not a standard room). Delux or premium is just wonderful for it's price. But this time I went for standard and it's so much worse (now I can understand negative reviews on this hotel: that all comes from a standard room experience). Well, the room is okay, but really, in KL there are so many options to stay that the standard room looks poor and old. It's quite small also. Better type of the rooms are not much expensive but it's big and much much better. So I really suggest to upgrade the room and to have a great experience of stay rather than save a few dollars and to stay in standard room.

The location of the hotel is central and this makes it very much worthy anyway. Petronas towers just 15 minutes walk. River of life is also not far away. It's a good central location, no doubts. 

Cleaning of the room is good. Every day someone comes to clean the room, to give some water bottles and to change the towels. They change bedsheets every two days. 

There is an AC in the room but it seems to me to be a bit old, so it's not that powerful (even on maximum cool mode). But it works, it was enough for me. It's ok if the weather is not too hot. If it's really hot, I am not sure if this AC is enough. Or it's ok if you don't like when AC is too strong. 

The hotel has some problems with insects (though it's not that bad, it felt clean enough, but sometimes you can see). While I stayed there in December and in March, they had something to with it (kinda spray shots as a part of cleaning). If it bothers you, better not to go there. I did feel bad about it. No smell. Just a single shot of spray in the bathroom and that's it. My friend didn't like that it happened at all. But what can they do? The hotel tries its best to keep the building clean. So sometimes there is no other way because insects might come and it's better to prevent it.

I met different managers of the reception and the guy was really good and friendly. And both ladies were not friendly at all. They made me pay the taxes again though it was already included in the price. Then I had to show them the proof that I have already paid it. No apology. On the contrary, she blamed me in her mistake and behaved so much unfriendly that my friend was saddened by it a lot. We got a refund, but really, this was unpleasant. When the guy is there, he smiles and he is happy to held. But not the lady. 

Overall, the price of this hotel is cheap and I would recommend it for a location. If you can go for a better room, then it's worthy of staying there. Won't come again in a standard room. 

The swimming pool is beautiful and there is almost noone there. It's a plus point. They also have sauna for men and sauna for women. But you have to press the button to make it work in advance (20 minutes before you plan to visit), otherwise it's not hot there (because there are almost no people). You can swim in the pool while it's getting hot there. Sauna and pool are really good there and it's a plus point for this hotel.

Breakfast is average. Actually there are many dishes and it's good enough, but the general impression is just okay okay. Everything is there, I can't say anything bad. But if you are not too fond of having breakfast in hotels and if you prefer to sleep long, then really, you better sleep, it's just an okay breakfast.

The serviced apartment is quite dated and the fixtures are quite old. Seems that the hotel is newer as compared to the serviced apartments. Service at the reception was great. Very friendly and they also gave us early check in as we had some appointments to attend to in the afternoon. The toilets came with basic amenities like toothbrush, shower cap. No shaver or vanity set. Shower curtain option in the common toilet was not ideal as the water splattered when showering. Glad they have a BOSCH washing machine and dryer combo in the unit to wash clothes and get them fully dried at the same time! Would be great if the units can be revamped slightly for extra comfort and that it will look newer for guests :) superb location, just 6-7 mins walk to both Pavillion and TRX malls!

For my trip to Singapore this time, I specifically chose this hotel because it's just one subway stop from Changi Airport – the transportation is incredibly convenient! You can take the MRT directly from the airport, making it a completely hassle-free journey.

After checking in, I found the hotel to be much better than expected. The room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were relatively new. For this price point, to get such an experience, the value for money is truly excellent.

⚠️ A heads-up for those planning to take a taxi to the airport:
A taxi ride costs around 60+ RMB (depending on the time of day), but be aware that searching for ”Dorsett Hotel” directly on ride-hailing apps might not give you an accurate location. You *must* manually set the location using the hotel's address, otherwise, the driver might easily go to the wrong place. We used the address to pinpoint our location, and the driver found us very quickly.

Overall, I'm extremely satisfied. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I have an early flight or a layover. I highly recommend it to anyone needing a place to stay near Changi Airport!

Overall stay was good,quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was ok, my phone in room is not working I was asking for cutlery but it doesn’t works I have to go down to reception to get it. Swimming was small, some of the tiles near to the pool is unstable very dangerous and gym was just too small. But I love their Starbucks coffee machine and orange joox
