Hygiene: The hotel's hygiene is excellent; it's clean, tidy, and free of unpleasant odors.

Environment: Located near the old airport, close to Sung Wong Toi MTR station and Kai Tak Retail Park. It's very quiet at night with open views, making it great for rest.

Service: As a mainland Chinese who only speaks Mandarin, I did some research on Hong Kong before my trip and was worried about potential negative perceptions towards mainlanders. However, upon arriving at the hotel, I found my worries were unfounded. One male front desk staff member who assisted me was incredibly attentive. He patiently explained things in Mandarin when I didn't understand or hear clearly, completely breaking my previous stereotypes.

Facilities: The facilities are very new and in good condition. It's worth noting that the hotel doesn't provide toothbrushes, razors, or shower caps; you'll need to purchase them from a vending machine in the lobby or bring your own. One minor issue is that there are a few too many mirrors in the room, which felt a bit off when trying to sleep at night.

Overall, it's still excellent and highly recommended.

1. This hotel is a bit out of the way. There's only one 7/11 nearby, and it's not even 24-hour. The closest place to get food is a 20-minute walk. If you're coming back late and want a bite to eat or to buy something, it's best to have eaten beforehand or to have bought things already.
2. There's no general food delivery in Hong Kong; you can only download the Hong Kong-specific Keta delivery app. However, you need to register to use it, and you can only do so with a local Hong Kong or foreign phone number. Mainland Chinese phone numbers don't work. We asked the front desk if we could register with their number and have them notify us when food arrived, but no one in the entire hotel was willing. So, Keta delivery was effectively useless.
3. The power outlets in Hong Kong are different from mainland China. If you bring the wrong adapter or forget to bring a specialized one, your phone and computer will be useless, because the hotel provides absolutely nothing. At most, they'll let you scan a power bank for 200 yuan deposit and 8 yuan an hour – do with that what you will.
4. The hotel rooms are quite old and a bit dated, and the cleanliness is just average (there was still hair on the towels, and tea stains hadn't been wiped off the table). Those who mind these things should take note.

I was very happy with the room; the view was great, and it was super close to the Jockey Club. My stay was specifically booked to dine at the Jockey Club's restaurant, but unfortunately, the night race on Wednesday the 21st was held at Sha Tin Racecourse, so I only saw the broadcast. When I checked in that afternoon, the gentleman with glasses at the front desk was very enthusiastic and polite, and even upgraded my room, which I really appreciated. The breakfast voucher for Capital Cafe was also a nice touch; it was a great way to experience local Hong Kong breakfast.

Our stay at this hotel was an absolute delight. The comfort of the room was exceptional—every detail thoughtfully designed for relaxation. What truly stood out, however, was the staff. Their kindness was not just professional but genuinely warm; they anticipated needs with a smile and went above and beyond at every turn. It’s rare to feel so genuinely cared for while traveling. This isn’t just a place to sleep—it’s a place where you feel welcomed and valued. We’re already looking forward to returning.

I carefully reviewed all the negative comments and found some to be objective observations. Things like small rooms, poor soundproofing, or being next to an elevated highway. Other comments seemed to stem from a lack of local knowledge, such as the absence of complimentary toothbrushes and toothpaste, which is quite common in local hotels here. The hotel provides drinking water dispensers on specific floors, and there are cups in the room. I didn't try it myself because I knew beforehand that bottled water isn't provided, so I just bought some at a nearby supermarket, which was convenient. 

Now for other details: I booked on the same day and arrived after 8 PM. The lobby staff were very welcoming, helped me check in, provided detailed information about the Wi-Fi password, gave me coupons, and explained the hotel shuttle service. I didn't pay much attention to the Wi-Fi details at the time as I didn't think I'd need it. The room was quite quiet once the air conditioning was turned off. Since I was staying multiple nights, I just asked the cleaning staff to replace the face towel the next day. On the day I took the bus to Tsim Sha Tsui, there was a slight mishap where I took the wrong elevator floor. The lobby is 'G' floor, and I got off on the first floor. I wandered around a bit blindly and to my surprise, walked right out to the bus! The meal voucher they provided was excellent – a full meal without any extra cost. Calling the front desk or concierge always resulted in effective responses. Luggage storage was also very convenient, with efficient and courteous service. Guests from all over the world stay at this hotel, and everyone was very friendly when sharing the elevator. Check-out was instant.

This hotel offers incredible value for money! We spontaneously decided to stay an extra night in Hong Kong and stumbled upon this gem. For less than four hundred a night, it was clean, and the service was excellent. The front desk staff, seeing our two babies, even gave us two little teddy bears, and we got an extra voucher for the cafe's afternoon tea. We were thrilled! We were originally supposed to check in in the afternoon, but since the room was already clean and ready, and they saw we had a lot of luggage, they let us check in early! We're so grateful!

This is my first time staying here, and honestly, the experience was worse than expected. The only thing worth praising is the continental breakfast — and that says a lot.
🛎 Service & Attitude: EMBARRASSING
When I wanted to extend my stay from Day 1, someone just dropped the key without any explanation.
I was standing there with TWO luggages, clearly struggling —
❌ No bellboy assistance
❌ No offer to help
❌ Just stared at me like I was invisible
For a hotel, this is shameful hospitality. Staff were unfriendly, uninterested, and poorly trained.
🍽 Room Service: INSANE PRICING, LOW QUALITY
Room service food felt like GrabFood standard, if not worse.
RM44 for THIS?
Paper box, soggy presentation, and taste that doesn’t match the price at all.
Completely not worth the money.
🚿 Shower: SEE THE PHOTO
The shower situation speaks for itself.
Weak water pressure, outdated setup — definitely not hotel-standard comfort.
You expect guests to pay premium prices for this?
🍳 Breakfast (The Only Win)
Credit where it’s due — breakfast was actually very good.
Many choices, tasty, and easy on the stomach.
Sadly, this is the ONLY positive thing about the stay.
Overall, this hotel is saved by breakfast only.
Everything else — service, attitude, room service quality, and basic hospitality — FAILED.
For the price paid, this experience is unacceptable.
Definitely not recommended, and I won’t be returning.

The location is excellent, the staff were super friendly and polite, and both rooms were big and comfortable. The hotel was clean. There was a strange smell in the corridor, I think because of the weather, but it did not affect our stay or rooms at all. We took breakfast, which was fair. I only wished there were gluten-free bread and lactose-free milk; the manager was helping his colleagues, which was nice to see. 
For sure, I will come back again to this hotel.

The hotel has a good location; however, several facilities, such as the shower head, wall plugs and other small fixtures, were not well maintained.

The breakfast selection was quite limited, mainly consisting of hotdogs and mee goreng. While the location is convenient, being right next to Taman Connaught MRT, it is also very busy with many people around

The location is super convenient, surrounded by a variety of Chinese and international restaurants. The bustling commercial district is just a 10-15 minute walk away, including a large Eslite bookstore. The braised pork rice right outside the hotel entrance was also quite good. Although the room has a filtered water tap, I still wish they would provide complimentary bottled water; it's good to be environmentally conscious, but the toilet paper quality was really poor and completely out of line with the hotel's price point.

The hotel is a bit old, but the service is excellent. They were very friendly to foreign guests and patiently communicated with us. It was a very pleasant trip to Kuala Lumpur, and the price was reasonable, offering good value for money!

Dorsett Residences is located right next to Dorsett Hotel, hence we share the same breakfast venue at Dorsett Hotel restaurant. The breakfast is the same every day. There is no variety to the food and it honestly got a bit dreadful by the 3rd morning of our stay. The location of the apartment is good though, about 5-7min min walk away from Fahrenheit and Pavilion. The size of the apartment is just right for my family of 4. The staff will clean the room every day and I love it that there is a washer and dryer in the room for me to do laundry. However I was appalled that the bedsheets were not changed during the 4 nights I was there because the same black stains were visible on the bedsheets throughout. Apartment has a gym and swimming pool on the 30th floor that opens from 8 am to 10 pm daily.

The room was spacious and quiet, and the mattress was just right—not too soft, not too firm. The kitchen was very practical. Singapore is an open, inclusive, and civilized country; everyone follows the rules diligently, and transportation is incredibly convenient.

Pros: The hygiene and environment are excellent. It's conveniently located right next to Outram Park MRT station, a major interchange, making it easy to walk to many attractions. The orange juice vending machine on the first floor is a great deal, providing juice from four oranges for just 10 RMB. The pool is small but offers a nice view.
Cons: This might be a common issue with hotels in Singapore, but check-in takes an extremely long time. Also, there are extra charges for things like an additional blanket. The windows are sealed.
