Stayed for one night on a business trip. The transportation was quite convenient, and the location was good. It was very clean, and the service was also pretty good! The facilities were well-equipped, and I was quite satisfied. I would consider staying here again next time!

Dorsett Kai Tak, Hong Kong truly exceeded my expectations! The location is fantastic, right next to the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, making transportation incredibly convenient. While the room wasn't huge, it was beautifully designed, clean, and tidy, with comfortable bedding that allowed me to sleep soundly. What impressed me most was the service; the front desk staff were friendly and efficient during check-in, and they even offered proactive suggestions for local attractions. The breakfast spread was extensive, with both Western and Chinese options, and tasted great. Overall, it's excellent value for money, and I'd definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Hong Kong!

The room on the 3rd floor had a musty smell, and the room on the 6th floor was gloomy as it backed onto the mountain. There was a Bible placed on the bedside table, you know what that means! I asked for a king bed but was given a twin room with small beds, and not even on the same floor. Definitely need to look for a few more hotels next time!!! The plump front desk staff member with glasses had a terrible attitude, but everything else was fine. Trip.com, please check with the hotel properly before listing them. The bad review is for that plump staff member!!!

The hotel is located between two metro lines, a bit closer to Olympic Station, but still about a 10-minute walk. It's easy to find, situated at a crossroads, and there are plenty of dining options nearby, including some famous foodie spots.

**Ambiance:** The space is quite small; the rooms, hallways, and elevators all feel cramped. While this is typical for Hong Kong, compared to other hotels of the same star rating, it doesn't offer much advantage in terms of size.

**Cleanliness:** It's clean and tidy. Although the hotel is a bit old, it's well-maintained.

**Service:** There was a slight information discrepancy regarding my booking at the front desk, but thankfully, Ctrip's customer service intervened immediately and resolved it, which was great. The breakfast, though not extensive in variety, tasted excellent. The hotel also provides a regular shuttle service to places like Mong Kok malls, which significantly enhances convenience.

Overall, for this price, the Executive Room with breakfast included offers great value for money.

Overall, the value for money is decent. For Hong Kong, getting a room of this size and bed dimensions at this price is acceptable. However, the hotel is a bit dated. The sink looks old, the coaster was a bit dirty, and there was grime in the crevice of the desk drawer pull. I understand the eco-friendly initiatives – bringing my own toothbrush and toothpaste, and no complimentary bottled water, are fine. But the room isn't cleaned by default unless you hang a sign on the doorknob, which is a bit inconvenient. I didn't even notice this sign initially, and it wasn't mentioned during check-in. Plus, you have to hang it out before 10 AM. I only discovered this rule when I returned on the second night. Alright, fine, I can accept not changing towels, sheets, pillowcases, or even bath towels, but at least empty the trash can, right? If they don't clean at all, they should definitely inform guests during check-in. On the day I left, I saw a multi-legged bug crawling in the bathroom. Luckily, I'm used to roughing it, so I just ignored it. Oh, and there was no hand soap, just body wash. The air conditioner was also very loud; good thing it was winter, so I just turned it off when sleeping. It would be unbearable in summer. I'd also suggest updating the curtains. I support being thrifty and environmentally conscious, but attention to detail is still important. Even budget hotels in mainland China's first-tier cities have better attention to detail than this place, at a third or even a fifth of the price. They did give two dining vouchers for Wah Sing Cafe, which are worth 82 HKD each, so that makes up for some of the shortcomings.

This is my first time staying here, and honestly, the experience was worse than expected. The only thing worth praising is the continental breakfast — and that says a lot.
🛎 Service & Attitude: EMBARRASSING
When I wanted to extend my stay from Day 1, someone just dropped the key without any explanation.
I was standing there with TWO luggages, clearly struggling —
❌ No bellboy assistance
❌ No offer to help
❌ Just stared at me like I was invisible
For a hotel, this is shameful hospitality. Staff were unfriendly, uninterested, and poorly trained.
🍽 Room Service: INSANE PRICING, LOW QUALITY
Room service food felt like GrabFood standard, if not worse.
RM44 for THIS?
Paper box, soggy presentation, and taste that doesn’t match the price at all.
Completely not worth the money.
🚿 Shower: SEE THE PHOTO
The shower situation speaks for itself.
Weak water pressure, outdated setup — definitely not hotel-standard comfort.
You expect guests to pay premium prices for this?
🍳 Breakfast (The Only Win)
Credit where it’s due — breakfast was actually very good.
Many choices, tasty, and easy on the stomach.
Sadly, this is the ONLY positive thing about the stay.
Overall, this hotel is saved by breakfast only.
Everything else — service, attitude, room service quality, and basic hospitality — FAILED.
For the price paid, this experience is unacceptable.
Definitely not recommended, and I won’t be returning.

The location is excellent, the staff were super friendly and polite, and both rooms were big and comfortable. The hotel was clean. There was a strange smell in the corridor, I think because of the weather, but it did not affect our stay or rooms at all. We took breakfast, which was fair. I only wished there were gluten-free bread and lactose-free milk; the manager was helping his colleagues, which was nice to see. 
For sure, I will come back again to this hotel.

The room was spacious and comfortable, which was a positive point during my stay. However, the breakfast was quite disappointing as there were very limited food choices. Cleanliness also needs to be improved, as some areas did not appear well-maintained. Parking is available but located a bit far from the hotel, and a deposit is still required during check-in. Overall, it was a decent stay, but there is definitely room for improvement, especially in terms of cleanliness and breakfast variety.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. The location is convenient, and I would consider staying here again.

While the lobby is quite luxurious, the hallways are in a state of disrepair, looking quite dilapidated. However, the in-room facilities are surprisingly complete and the room itself is very comfortable. It's clear that this is an old hotel; the carpets are worn and the air conditioning is noisy. But on the plus side, it's cheap, the room is spacious, and the window view is nice. It's also close to the city center, and there's a convenience store in the lobby downstairs. Overall, it's not bad.
Toothbrushes are an extra charge, and you need to get a hairdryer from the front desk. I recommend bringing your own slippers.

Apartment is next to Dorsett hotel. Apartment is quite run down but overall is still ok. Location is good, walking distance to Pavilion mall, lot 10.  Housekeeping staff Suboj is helpful, prompt in his service and help to fix the leaking shower head. I wish the curtain colour is brighter as the existing curtain make the room even smaller.

Due to the late arrival of Scoot flight TR611 from Suvarnabhumi past 11.30 pm, it costs me S$21.30 by Grab to arrive at Dorsett Changi City Hotel from Changi Airport. I stayed here one night for the convenience of boarding the free shuttle bus service at the neighbouring Expo Hall 5 for Singapore Airshow 2026 past 7 am on 8 February 2026. 

There is no need to pay the room deposit for one night stay at Dorsett Changi City Hotel.

The room rate is overpriced as the room allocated to me is small. There is no pair of indoor slippers or sandals to wear and there is no room razor to use. Instead of four-class service, the hotel service should be classified as three-class instead.

Top quality body lotion as well as body and hand wash are provided for room use.

There is free filtered water to drink. 

Like Maya Hotel in Phuket, the toilet is separated from the shower room but Dorsett guests hang towels in the toilet and not the shower room! Flooding occurs after showering.

Breakfast also starts at 6.30 am but it costs S$33.57 per guest. This is the breakfast rate payable to the reception by debit card, credit card or cash while it costs S$39 plus if the guest pays for breakfast at the hotel's Cosmo Restaurant. 

6.30 am is the earliest breakfast outside homes in Changi as the nearest convenience store 7-11 is opened only at 7 am daily. The restaurant serves more varieties of fruits than other hotel restaurants as well as multi-grain bread.

Cosmo Restaurant is also running ala carte buffet lunch promo rate at S$29.90 per person. Members of the public can also eat here.

During winter months, planes can be seen flying past Standard Chartered Bank Building of Changi Business Park from the lift corridor. The reception says hotel guests on the hotel's swimming pool deck can also see planes flying.

I recommend to stay at Dorsett Changi City Hotel for one night only if guests wanted to go to Expo to attend a MICE event on the next day, catch an early free shuttle bus to Singapore Airshow or stay at a cheaper rate than Yotelair Changi during transit.

The hotel's location is excellent, right out of Exit 4 of Outram Park MRT station, making it very convenient to get to all the main attractions. The room was also quite clean. Plus, it's close to Chinatown and the Maxwell Food Centre. The soundproofing in the room was good too; even though we were assigned a room next to the elevator, we didn't find it noisy at all. The elevator requires a key card, which adds to the safety. The only downside is that the hotel's Wi-Fi is terrible; pages often wouldn't load. After 10-11 PM, it was pretty much unusable.
