Stargazing is great anytime of year and sometimes you can even catch a glimpse of a comet or the aurora borealis while sitting by the firepit!Fantastic day trips to nearby attractions, such as Castle in the Clouds, a hike up Mt. Major, ride on the Mount Washington on Lake Winnipesaukee, make this an ideal vacation spot. There a loads of local hiking trails including Sewall woods which provides miles of groomed cross country skiing trails and snowshoeing paths. Nordic Skier Sports in Wolfeboro provides the rentals and trail pass you need to enjoy a day out snowshoeing or cross country skiing.Shaws Pond Lakehouse is a beautiful spot where you will instantly feel like you are away from it all. It's approximately 1/2 mile wide and a mile long. It has the convenience of being located only 6 miles from downtown Wolfeboro. Access to all the great restaurants, breweries, music and shopping that the Lakes Region has to offer. Just a quick drive into town for Wolfeboro's finest ice cream at Bailey's Bubble for an unforgettable treat.
