Welcome to Duke's Place: a new, custom-built home, located in Massanutten Resort! The home sits on a quiet dead-end street, close to all of the activities, and includes all of the features that make it feel like home. The home has a master bedroom with king bed and en suite bathroom on the main level. The 2nd floor has a queen bedroom in Bedroom 2, and 3 twin-sized beds in Bedroom 3. Traveling with family or friends? Check out Sam's Place- which is a 3-bedroom home next door!Home is dog friendly! We provide dog bowls, treats, and a spot to hang a leash.The kitchen is equipped with everything needed to prepare and serve home-cooked meals. We also provide a Keurig, and a French Press for coffee. All linens for bedding, towels, and washcloths are included with your stay. We also provide dishwasher tabs, laundry pods, toilet paper and paper towels. A laundry room with washer and dryer are available for guest use. No smoking in the house. MASSANUTTEN RESORTThe home is located inside the gated community of Massanutten Resort. The Resort offers skiing, two golf courses, water park, mountain biking, ziplining, putt-putt, go-carts, tennis, swimming, fishing, parks and more are only a couple miles from the house. The resort maintains 30 miles of hiking trails. Tennis courts are also located by the pool. Resort Activities are available to our guests for an additional fee (must be purchased through the Resort). SURROUNDING AREADowntown Harrisonburg and James Madison University are 15 miles from our home. There are many fantastic restaurant, museums and shops that are fun to explore in downtown. The closest Shenandoah River access is only 10 miles from the house. Tubing and kayaking are fun to enjoy during the summer. The Swift Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park and Blue Ridge Trail is only 15 miles away and offers excellent hiking trails. A long front porch complete with rockers and a porch swing greet you as you walk up. With 5 bedrooms including 2 king beds, 3 queen beds, and 2 full beds, guests will have plenty of space to rest.UPPER LEVELLocated upstairs, are the primary bedroom with a king bed and large bathroom equipped with a shower as well as a jetted tub and gorgeous picture window. Also upstairs, you will find a bedroom with one king, a third bedroom with a queen and both a full-size bath with a tub/shower combo and a half bath. The spacious primary has an extra sitting room with a treadmill, office space and reading nook with room to set up a pack n' play if you need to keep your little one close. The upstairs family room boasts a double-sided fireplace, shared with the sunroom - a perfect spot for morning coffee. The dining room table seats 8, with an additional 4 seats in the kitchen and 2 at the bar. A folding table and 4 chairs are also available in the lower-level storage room.LOWER LEVELHeading downstairs, is the second of the two large family rooms, this one providing guests with an 86-inch tv, perfect for movie nights. The gamers in your family will love the extra space beside the movie room, made just for them, with hookups for their gaming consoles and a large comfy bean bag to chill on. If that Isn't enough, the lower level has a third area to hang out, with a Pac-Man arcade game, foosball, hookey, and tons of board games!
