The cabin has comfortable seating for four at the dining table and sectional with two recliners. The county plows do not plow at night and they start as early as possible to clear roads in the mornings. Once you arrive to the village the drive to the cabin is on snow covered gravel roads. Roads are plowed by slowly Road they often be slippery and freezing conditions are covered with some inches of fresh snow. They may not be cell service for your provider in our area so please come prepared. You will ascend 8500 ft. Winter weather may vary on your journey.4x4 is REQUIRED Winter months and we always just carrying chains. **If you feel you need chains put them on BEFORE attempting the hills, put them on in them on in a safe, flat, out of the way area. DO NOT BLOCK ROADS especially Movie Ranch/ Meadow Ranch ( it is a hill once past the church) as it is the only access to the community. Do not ask if your 2 Wheel drive can make it the answer is NO!SNOW REMOVAL: if it snows during your stay your driveway will be blown out if there’s 8” or more. The plow may only blow up to where your car is parked, if you park in the spot left of the cabin the plow should be able to blow the entire driveway. Snow removal on your deck, too and around your car is your responsibility. There will be a shovel on the deck of the cabin. We are in line for snow plow AFTER the main roads, resident and elders.POWER OUTAGES: in the event of a power outage the only source of heat is from the fireplace and you will have to start the fire for heat. We do not stock wood or fire starters. Plan ahead if there is winter weather and have these provisions. We are not able to provide them for you, there is no Uber, there is no Uber eats, no food delivery! No tow trucks! Be prepared! Yes, the power goes out in the winter weather!Please keep in mind if you arrive after dark on the Mountain most everything may be closed. Please plan ahead.
