The historical structure, estimated to have been built in the 12th century, is constructed using alternating layers of cut and rubble limestone, characteristic of Mardin. These spaces, with a cross-vaulted roof system, are oriented on a north-south axis. The windows of these units are rectangular in shape, set within niches formed by segmented arches. Drop motifs are present in the spaces between the windows. The units in the north wing are accessed through a low-arched entrance set within niches formed by segmented arches. Window forms are rectangular structural elements located within niches created by pointed arches resting on columns.
