"The hotel is very large, which means that there are many people in high season. Facilities issue, it has 2 outdoor pools and one indoor pool, apart from more services that we do not use. The buffet breakfast is quite good. In general the hotel is good for a getaway to Blanes in summer"

"Overall, I’d describe this hotel as fine. The hotel itself isn’t bad, but I wouldn’t return because of the location. The room looked clean and the bedding was spotless, but because the hotel is so old and dated, it never really felt clean. The hard floors constantly felt dirty underfoot, so I’d definitely recommend bringing slippers. We had a couple of issues during our stay. The shower didn’t always heat up properly, and on one occasion the bathroom tap ran yellow water. Both issues seemed to sort themselves out, but it wasn’t a great first impression. The air conditioning was free and worked well enough, which was appreciated. The breakfast was also a real positive. We had pastries and coffee every morning, which saved us money, and I know many nearby hotels don’t include breakfast. The pool is quite small and the water stays very warm, so it isn’t very refreshing on hot days. It was never too busy, but there were no umbrellas over the sunbeds, meaning there was very little shade. The rooms also don’t have a fridge, and no complimentary bottled water is provided. We ended up paying around €3 for a bottle of water but had no way of keeping it cold. The receptionist was friendly, although we didn’t have much interaction with the other staff. The Wi-Fi is free, but nobody tells you that you need to ask reception for the password. We only found out on our second to last day. The biggest issue by far is the location, and I genuinely wish I’d known this before booking. The beach itself is lovely, but the surrounding area felt very run down, with very little to do. We struggled to find good restaurants, the bars all felt very similar and overpriced, and there was very little atmosphere. Even a local taxi driver told us there had been trouble in the area. If you’re hoping to explore, be prepared to spend a lot of your holiday travelling. We wanted to visit Lloret de Mar and found that by the time we’d walked to the bus stop, waited for the bus and made the journey, it was taking around an hour each way. Barcelona would have meant around three hours of travelling. We spent more time getting places than actually enjoying them, and even Lloret wasn’t dramatically different. If this hotel were in a better location, I’d probably rate it higher. The hotel itself is perfectly acceptable for the price, but the location completely changed our holiday and is the reason I wouldn’t book again."

"You get what you pay for. Room was cheap and clean, but i wont be back, the room was a small room facing into an internal courtyard with a steel fire escape. Dark and dingy with a very small bathroom, room left me feeling claustrophobic. Building is 5 floors WITHOUT a lift. As it was winter restaurant was closed and there was only a part time receptionist. No parking is possible on the street, and i accidentally drove in to 2 Park Houses that turned out to offer only Private Parking. Better to go down to the beach and park in the Saba Parking Area (24€ Per Day). 2 minute walk to shop and beach. ."

"The worst hotel I ever stayed. Rooms small,smelly. You have to pay for fridge in your room,good they didn't charge for the beds. For Towels to be change you have to pay,parking pay...water paid...It left me such a bad impression, I won't be back in Spain any time soon and never to this hotel,its better to live in the tent on the beach."

"The speed of service at thé reception, service at thé bar is much tot slow, sometimes waited 20 min tot order drink with 2 customers before me, thé Quality of food is not ok, chaires at pool are almost all Broken, samen with thé umbrellas.The area around thé pool is porly maintained,and dangerous for children. The old elevators are much to slow and dirty. Staff in restaurant is friendly, also thé cleaning crew. Overall, thé hotel needs a make over. We looked forward tot stay at your hotel, bit it was a big disappointment. Even with thé offer for full board..."

"Nice and clean. Comfy beds. Small Bathroom and shower!! As a bigger bloke a bit tight for me!! Good wifi connection in room. Never did get the TV working. No chair ot desk in room. Massive free car park to rear of building which my room overlooked. No Bar or lounge on site but Hotel 2 doors down had bar and did breakfast at extra cost. Very reasonably priced. I was attending a music festival in Santa Suzannah so just slept in the room. Wouldn't be nice if you were there for a family holiday or were a couple wanting to spend much time in the room. In a dodgy area!! Some grotty bars nearby and the money transfer shop next door seemed to attract some rough looking individuals. Prefer the Eastern part of The Costa Brava. Blanes seemed tatty and a bit of a dump!! Nice staff! Very friendly."
