"I found it difficult to find any of the staff, but once I did - nothing was too much trouble. all very friendly and helpful. The place is quite dated and needs a makeover badly. Gardens were nice and the location was perfect for me. Food was OK but breakfast was very dry, but tasty. Again the staff were especially good."

"DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL An absolute disgrace they should be removed from any booking platform check out other reviews and pictures what a disgrace the new owners obviously have there own plans for the place. We booked a room weeks in advance for a family wedding arrived and was basically given ******** excuses by some scruffy old guy wearing a football shirt supposedly looking after reception that we couldn't have a room as there were gas problems, then told by someone on the phone that people were still in the room we'd booked the bloke was then laughing about the fact I was annoyed with his colleague on the phone its a good job my wife was ushering me away as his night could have got a hole lot worse when he commented "well there's a premier inn down the road " AVOID BOYCOTT DO NOT FUND THEM WITH YOUR HARD ERNED CASH THEY SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS. My only blessing in disguise was the fact I managed to book in at premier inn. No offer of compensation and I had to drive back to the hotel and demand my money back. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY"

"Nice enough hotel but with some reservations, the main entrance had work going on and was closed.the signage for the alternative entrance was poor and so difficult to get into the hotel. Once in side (I entered through the health club) there wasn’t ant directions to the reception. Once checked in, the room was decent if a bit of a trek to get to. Upon checking out, again the sign for the barrier code wasn’t easy to spot. I’m sure once all the alterations are complete the hotel will be back to the usual standards found at the average Holiday Inn."

"Not a bad hotel all in all, and usually excellent value for money (I have stayed here on a few occasions recently as much cheaper than other hotels locally). The rooms are well equipped with iron, ironing board, kettle with tea and coffee and usually a desk fan of some sort. Personally, I prefer to be on the first floor as most ground floor rooms do have a musty/slightly damp smell which I do try to avoid. Great, friendly staff however."
