"Rooms are spacious and clean. However heating is loud. Great view of San Francisco and Golden Gate. Staff are attentive. The hotel generally could need some facelift. Furthermore, the breakfast room was chilly every day so that I started wearing as many layers as possible. Coffee was disappointing, but breakfast omeletts were great. So was the tuna tartar by night."

"The rooms were very warm despite the cool night air outside. However, leaving the windows open was not an option because it was very noisy outside. You would occasionally hear the very loud freight train running along. There was some tidying e.g. emptying the trash/making the bed but the bathroom floor was not swept. The washing machine in the building looked like it had been broken for a long time and no sign of getting repaired soon. It's a worn down building with minimum service but it's OK for the price."

"It is very close to the UCB dormitory, less than 100 meters away. The hotel is very quiet, with European-style rooms, lots of sunshine, comfortable bedding and clean bathroom. The breakfast is simple but includes our favorite smoked salmon. In the evening, the restaurant on the second floor coincides with a small dance party for the elderly. The faces of the elderly are filled with young and energetic smiles. It is a club-type hotel. At night, you can watch the sunset from the small balcony at the end of the floor. Very nice hotel, I will choose it again next time I come to Berkeley"

"The location is a bit hard to find, but the staff were very friendly. The guests were also very welcoming. Located in downtown Berkeley, it's conveniently located with easy access to parking and banks. There's also a free gym nearby, a fully equipped shared kitchen, and very clean shared bathrooms. For expensive San Francisco, this price is definitely worth it."
