"We checked in at 2:30 PM in Room 210. Right from the start, there were issues. They asked for my ID and a 2,000 peso security deposit – that was fine. They gave us the acknowledgement receipt, room key, and other items. When we went to our room, the sink in the bathroom was disgusting; you could see a lot of phlegm inside it every time you used it. We hadn’t even been in the room for 15 minutes when a group of guests started making extremely loud noise – shouting, laughing, and roughhousing. I went out to see what was going on, and there was a group of students. Three other rooms also had guests come out, upset about the noise. I called the front desk to inform them, but nothing changed. The noise continued all evening. I called the front desk again, and they said they were trying to talk to the group but couldn’t control them. So we had no choice but to put up with the noise – people running around, shouting, laughing loudly, and chatting in the hallway. The worst part was when we checked out: my ID, which is my driver’s license, was still with them. They were only supposed to make a photocopy, but they held onto it. I drove for 3 days without my license because they had it. Look for another hotel where you can really relax."

"The only downside was the terrible smell in the room. The bathroom, which shared the same room as the toilet, had a strong sewer smell, and I threw up the moment I entered. The room itself also smelled strongly of deodorizer, which mixed with the bathroom's odor, creating a chaotic mess. It was only a one-night stay, so I put up with it, but if I'd stayed for a few nights, I would have preferred to move to another room. Also, the sheets were wrinkled and had a single hair in them, which might be a concern for those who are particular about cleanliness, but there were signs that they had been washed and replaced, so it was within the acceptable range. The good points were the location and the staff's friendliness. Despite being in the center of Baguio, I was able to sleep soundly without hearing any road noise. The staff were casual, but they were always willing to answer my questions, which was reassuring. The building the hotel is in is a shopping mall, so I was able to buy masks at the drugstore on the first floor, which was nice."

Free breakfast was plated, nothing special. Hotel is quite old. Overall our stay was ok. Best asset of the hotel is the location and the staff which were polite at all times."

"Okay. Let's start with the positives: Hotel Veniz is accessible, has parking, friendly staff, good amenities like a TV, WiFi (not so fast 8mbps max), air conditioning and a refrigerator. They have buffet breakfast! Negatives: Coffee cups are not thoroughly cleaned. It's advisable that you bring your own paper cups. Second, shower is too small. When we were there, the elevator frequently broke but this is okay because I'm super into fitness. Anyway I guess this is par for the course because the rates are super low for a room with buffet breakfast and a great location. Overall 3/5 for me."
