"We had a wonderful stay here for two nights. The host was more than accommodating and really helpful. Rooms: we stayed in Chocolat which is quite private and on the side. Own private entrance. It has dual aspect windows looking out over the fields. Huge bathroom with jet tub and large shower. Nice amenties and well thought out. Coffee machine and kettle which is so helpful. Honesty mini bar in small fridge. TV has both Netflix and Prime on it so easy to get your own entertainment. WiFi is strong and reliable. Bed is huge, really comfortable and we slept so well as its silent here. Breakfast: a basket of bread and croissants awaits you as you sit with different gorgeous jams and butter. Your hot drink of choice is made, lovely apple and pear juice is served to the table and water on the side table. A different selection each day of cakes and local pastries is offered. Eggs made to order and extra hot drinks on request. The breakfast room is very nicely decorated and the owner is very attentive. Location: is about 5 mins away from the main highway, 20 mins from Bruges and 30 mins from Ghent. It's in the middle of nowhere amongst farmyards. Very peaceful and quiet. Parking for about 8 vehicles. Only small things to consider, a spoon for hot drinks in the room (or wooden stirrers if you don't want to wash up) a price list for the minibar so you know what you are buying, we weren't sure if the water was included or not? Overall we had a lovely time, thank you for your hard work and wish you the best for 2024!!!"

"Very nice hotel perfectly based between Oostende and Brugge. Located on a lake side, very calm position and cheaper than others. Well recommended but the shower tray sealant in the bathroom could have been changed or bleached as it was full of black mould all over. Pity as shower was good and quite wide. Room small but its an ibis budget and it is enough space for 2 people. Comfy bed too"

"The hotel's location is excellent, with a reasonably priced and spacious parking lot nearby. It's also very close to the train station, with a connected walkway and elevator directly to the hotel. The walk to Bruges city center and attractions is a convenient 15 minutes. Both the hotel and the rooms are clean and hygienic, and the shower has good water pressure."

"Upon arrival (early), I received a short, unfriendly, and blunt answer to my question. Later that day, after checking in, I asked if we could still add breakfast. The friendly young man replied, 'Yes, you still can.' To be absolutely sure, I double-checked if we could indeed add breakfast (my daughter had an early 200m tournament). When I went to check, the other man (to whom we had asked a question earlier that day) again gave me a short and unfriendly message that we had to decide immediately. I told the young man that I was just checking if it was possible. We then booked the breakfast, and it was excellently prepared (for which we are grateful)."

"Van der Valk is a very good four-star hotel chain. It is famous for its large rooms and good breakfast. I was a little disappointed with the hotels around Bruges this time. It was a last minute trip and I booked a room on the same day. The room I was given was on the first floor. It should have been newly renovated. The wallpaper at the head of the bed smelled very bad. I had to drop my pillow to the end of the bed to sleep in the middle of the night. I reported this to the front desk in the morning, but they just said it and let it go. It was just one night, so I was too lazy to complain. I suggest you check the smell of the room before checking in, and if it doesn't work, negotiate with the hotel in advance to change the room. In addition, there is free parking here, which is not bad. Although the breakfast is not much, the cost performance is not high, 22 euros per person, which is a bit exaggerated."

"The four bed room is very nice. The mattresses and pillows are comfortable. There are toilets and showers nearby. The hostile location isn't necessarily Central, but you can walk to the attractions in about 10 to 15 minutes. The bus stop is only about a 3 minute walk away. The staff are friendly, and the restaurant / bar is nice to have. There are other restaurants nearby as well."
