Amaya Beach Passikudah ★★★★★
"We stayed in May '26. We absolutely loved the hotel, the rooms were gorgeous. We had an ocean view. The food was delicious, and the dessert spread was varied. The beds were comfortable. The staff were very polite. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back."
Karpaha Sands ★★★★★
"Complete delight) Starting from the staff who greeted us at the entrance to the hotel. I didn’t want to leave at all, but we were able to book only for one day; there were no villas available for other dates. The general manager met us and we had a personal assistant. Everything is so beautiful, rooms with a private courtyard are more private than those with access to the sea. The interior is very stylish, a cool area for tea and a shower outside, and the most important thing is the presence of a bathroom) In the main building there is an area for working on a computer and a children's area - an incredibly beautiful room. There are many photo zones on the beach, there is a bar near the pool, and waiters serve drinks. The breakfast is perfect, the presentation and the dishes themselves are top class. We liked the dinner, we ordered a dish from the chef, it depends on the catch that day. We had lobsters. Everywhere they give compliments - coconuts upon arrival, shrimp by the pool, detox drinks for breakfast, etc. We travel a lot, but this particular hotel has sunk into our hearts. Probably, it’s also a matter of emotional attitude towards each guest. The general manager, Umberto, an Italian, accompanied us along with the rest of the staff. We'll definitely come back again."
The Calm Resort & Spa ★★★★★
"Very tasty lunches and dinners"
Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa - Thema Collection ★★★★★
"Had a great experience here it’s clean, great atmosphere, superb staff especially with staff Chaney. Super friendly, always checking up on us and including us. Honestly made the stay 10x better!"
The Bay an Uga Experience -Pasikuda ★★★★★
"The seaside, the scenery is pretty good, but the surrounding area is like a rural area"
Anantaya Resort and Spa Passikudah ★★★★★
"Very good service.kind staff.(Thushani and madhushanka)"
Riviera Resort ★★
"I went for lunch at this hotel and found the food to be quite good. The restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating. After lunch, I took a walk around the hotel grounds, but I was disappointed by the behavior of the garden worker- called Sivakumar towards guests. Their approach seemed disrespectful and unprofessional. This experience makes me hesitant to revisit this place in the future.""
Sunrise Pasikuda ★★★★★
"I liked the hotel. The balcony is very comfortable and welcoming – a table, chairs, and a sofa. The sea is stunning! The beach is clean, the water is turquoise. Everything works in the room. It's clean! I'm a little tired, but so far so good. The food was à la carte. Delicious! I liked that the chef interacts with each guest. The menu is more European (onion soup (good!), pumpkin soup, pork with sweet potato puree), but Sri Lankan cuisine is always present in the main course! Shrimp was always on the menu. For Sri Lanka, the hotel is good. It has its own atmosphere and ambiance, which is what we come to this country for. This isn't a European 5-star hotel. Sri Lankan – yes! The restaurant staff is sometimes overly attentive. Since the hotel wasn't very busy, there was too much attention."
Sun Siyam Pasikudah ★★★★★
"Stunning location. We had a fantastic multi-generational stay with our 3 children. The bungalows are surrounded by plants and trees. The whole resort is on a beautiful sandy beach. Staff were excellent and very friendly and attentive. Even putting the FIFA World Cup on a big screen in the beach. Offering popcorn to all. Rooms were large with seating and terrace. Bathrooms were indoor/outdoor. Lighting in the rooms was not brilliant but was not a problem. Water sports near by."

Amethyst Resort
"We arrived at Amethyst Resort, Pasikuda, earlier than the check-in time, but the front desk staff warmly welcomed us and arranged for us to enjoy the pool and beach until our room was ready – such a thoughtful start to our stay. A special mention goes to Samantha Weerasooriya, who looks after the restaurant. He made us feel right at home, showed the crocodiles to our kids (a big highlight for them!), and, when I had a bad headache one evening, went the extra mile to help me. Thank you to the entire team for the warm hospitality and to Samantha for his exceptional care. Highly recommended!"
Laya Waves
"Actually we had nice and remarkable experience at here... This is well established spacious hotel which is located at infront of kalkudha beach and very calm natural environment. There are friendly and kind staff working and treating us warmly. They arranged very delicious dinner to us and supplied beach benches with all necessary amenities as well. And There rooms are spacious and maintain cleanliness too. Honestly they are providing great service and that is worth to the price. Thank you Laya Waves...You did best!"
Kay Jay Beach House - Pasikudha
"We met up with our friends for a couple of nights at KayJay beach house. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided a great collection of meals from locally sourced seafood, some of it from the fisherman directly in front of the house! We had delicious crab curry, a seafood BBQ and fabulous prawns. The house is designed around a central living area with a view of the fishing boats and beach beyond. There were two pairs of double rooms set either side with a further double room. The rooms are air-conditioned, mosquito nets are provided. The ensuite bathrooms are clean with refreshing cold water showers. The small pool was most welcome after a stroll to the nearby Pasikudha beach. This is a lovely place to stay, ideal for a small group or couple of families who can have exclusive use of the venue."
Breeze Pasikudah
"The structure is devastated and cannot be considered a five-star hotel, as it is rated by Booking. We found cockroaches in the bathroom and there was a nauseating smell, terrible breakfast even though the staff was very kind. It's a shame because it would have enormous potential but it would have to be done from scratch"
Kay Jay Palms - Kalkudah
Marina Beach Passikudah
"Do not do this to yourself. I repeat, DO NOT do this to yourself! This is not a hotel you want to stay at for anything more than $20 per night. Understaffed, haven’t had a working bar in weeks (if not months). The pool is a gangrenous mess, almost guaranteed to cripple the rest of your holiday with Montezuma’s Revenge (photo included). I’d imagine the food would be similar, if they bothered to cook any (evening restaurant picture included). No protection from insects in the shower windows. Some guests were using towels to block the swarms of wasps entering to terrorise them in a vulnerable state (photo included…of the towels…). Sacrificing one of the two bathmats provided as ‘towels’ (photo included) highlights just how terrifying the wasp situation must have been for some. If you like a few cold sundowners, don’t go looking here for any joy. There is no bar. The hotel claim they have been waiting for a ‘liquor order’ for 15 days, but it’s clearly a practised line they’ve been spouting for sometime longer than this. Photo of the empty ‘bar’, and the available stock attached. The beach is nice. Not enough umbrellas or beds (actually there probably are thinking about it, to accommodate the three desperate souls rattling around here). Looking at past reviews, this was once a passable hotel. It’s clearly fallen on hard times, and don’t appear to have enough funds left to actually, you know, run anything resembling a working hotel. $140 per night is truly criminal for this place. We ran away as soon as possible (a few hours), and luckily found refuge at the Sunrise Hotel next door for around the same rate. The Sunrise is absolutely wonderful. Only stay at this hotel if you are a masochist who likes burning money, and you have no interest in enjoying literally anything about being here."
