"On arrival, we were immediately confronted with increased parking charge, which we were totally unaware of. Prior to booking, we checked into all hotels in Bath and decided on holiday inn express as their onsite parking charge was £15 per day if you were a guest reduced down from £50 per day for non guests. The receptionist though very lovely in her maner clearly didnt understand how this may feel, she said it had increased to £80, but staying guests had a reduced rate of £50. It had increased from 1st March! I said that the website said £15, she didnt remark on that, and said that we had 45 mins free parking to decide what we wanted to do, and said if we wanted to go ahead with the £50 daily fee, she pointed at a code on the room info she gave with the room access card. Obviously very annoying, as its over 200% increase, without notice of the increase of the charge ahead of the visit. So we organised used just park and obtained a parking space for £10 for 24 hour parking. It was 5-10 from the hotel, 20 mins walking, so we used a Uber to return to the car the next day for £8. This added to the overall stress of the stay and could have been avoided if the hotel had honored the original charge which was not notified prior to our stay. Holiday Inn is 23 mins walk from the main part of Bath, so if you are looking to stay in Bath, i would avoid staying there. Whilst we were their the Hilton Double tree was slighly more expensive for a room, but we checked the parking and they offered 24hours for £18.99 which is really good for central location in Bath. Additionally our room at the holiday inn was dusty and our bed was very uncomfortable, we found a pair of trainers in our room (not ours) which showed the room wasn't cleaned particularly well. The shower ran hot and cold too, which added to the overal experience. When booking out of the room, i was asked about our stay and i told the receptionist my comments, she offerred me a free bottle of 500ml drink for my inconvenience, which i gave to me daughter and left. I won't be staying at the holiday inn express again, and for good reasons. Ii would check out the Hilton for any future visits as i feel that would be much better based upon my experience."

"The hotel facilities are normal, but there is no air conditioning. The location is ideal. Parking is chargeable. Breakfast is an all-you-can-eat buffet; although the variety isn't extensive, the price is cheap and very good value."

"This is my first hotel booking with Trip and I must say I was skeptical at first whether it would go through. Thankfully, the hotel did receive the confirmation. Just needed to tell the receptionist your surname and they’ll be able to locate you in their system. We were passed complimentary cookies, which were really yummy. The bed in the double room was smaller than expected but it was still good enough for two adults. The rooms are not very soundproof so you can hear the outside cars if you’re on the side facing the city. But if you’re not overly sensitive, the sounds are acceptable. The 24/7 gym was fairly well-equipped for the space capacity. They had gym towels, sanitary wipes, and water refiller. The hotel breakfast was enjoyable as well. The restaurant had a good view. Overall, the stay was a really good deal! Would use Trip.com again."

"Hideout Room was amazing! We loved all areas, especially the jacuzzi tub, which kept the water warm at all times—so relaxing. We stayed to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and the hotel made it truly unforgettable. The staff, Ellen and Angela, were incredibly kind, responsive, and friendly, making the celebration even more special. The hotel decorations are beautiful, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere throughout the property. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay."

"Because of the road closure, 5 mins drive took us 25 mins instead to get there and it was quite a difficult drive in the dark. The hotel itself was ok, a little bit outdated. I found the breakfast was quite expensive, although all you can eat cooked breakfast, not sure it was worth £50 for 2 mornings."
