"I've been going to this hotel for a few years and every time there's another problem. Windows are broken, and the toilets are not working, keys stop working. Front desk staff clueless plus they don't keep the breakfast area clean or stocked even though they sit 10 feet away. They don't clean the rooms while you're there. Not going back...."

"In Rice Lake for an event so this wasn't a vacation destination for us, but a place to spend the night for a quick visit. This log cabin feeling lodge is located on the lake, in the woods and gives off a relaxing vibe. No frills but provides essential needs. Friendly accommodating staff, coffee and scones (the best ever from a local bakery) in the morning in a little breakfast galley type kitchen area that's great for grab and go, clean room with comfortable beds and a great view of the lake. Good location with plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, parks nearby. Less expensive than the basic 2-3 star hotels with pools in the area and has a more personal feel. We were there in March, the dead of winter, so I can't comment on a summer stay although it looks like it would be nice right on the lake steps from the rooms. The view of the lake is peaceful and serene however being there in the winter the piers were pulled up on the shore right outside of the rooms so that was the view! Not a complaint, just a fact. I'd recommend a stay here and would certainly choose this place over other hotels in the area."

"Windows would not stay open and they kindly gave us a new room. Comfy bed. Clean room. Quet air conditioning.Friendly staff. Did not use the pool or eat breakfast there."
