Very clean and quiet room, good breakfast and diner and very friendly owners. They even gave us a tour at the local fresh market and helped us with a lot of good advice on where to go around in the town.

This is my second time staying at this B&B. Let me tell you about my experience. [Public Area Style] The decoration style of this B&B is both modern and classical. It combines Chinese and Japanese aesthetics. Whether it is the handrail design of the stairs, the color and material of the walls, or the long tables and chairs and lamps in the restaurant, they are all full of unique creativity. [Room Style] The room is not big, the layout is compact, and the dry and wet areas are separated. There is a big bed facing the window. The room on the 4th floor overlooks Fuxian Lake and also has an angle to watch the sunrise and sunset. The room is clean and tidy, with warm tones, and it feels like home. [Talk about coffee] The store has latte and Americano. The boss recommended the tamarind latte. It is not the kind of strong taste that can be tasted as soon as you drink it. Instead, it has a slightly sour and sweet feeling. It tastes very good. [Talk about the boss] The boss is very enthusiastic, good-looking, and has good clothes. It can be said that the store is like the person, and the person is like the store. Not only can he recommend fun places, but he is also very good at playing games. It turns out that he is a game engineer. I am sorry. [Finally, let me talk about the location] The homestay is on the north bank of Fuxian Lake, close to Kunming and Chengjiang City. After a long time of selection, I chose this one. It really didn't disappoint me. It is indeed the best homestay in Fuxian Lake. I can stay there quietly for ten days or eight days. It is very close to the lake. I took a walk on the wooden plank road by the lake in the evening and watched the sunset. It's so beautiful. Very new hotel, service attitude is very good, afternoon tea and good night tea are provided, and breakfast is rich in variety. Although the price is not cheap in Fuxian Lake, the location, facilities and services are matching, and the swimming equipment is a plus. This room is super nice. It is located on the highest floor and has a very comfortable terrace. I was lucky enough to catch the sunset one day. Some suggestions, it is recommended to put a foldable clothes rack in the bathroom. There is no place to put clothes and bath towels when taking a shower. Place a mat at the bathroom door that can be stepped on with bare feet. The classified control of the power panel is not friendly enough, making it confusing to use. In addition, you can feel that the waiters are particularly passionate about serving well, and there is room for improvement in the service process. It will be better if it is strengthened.

This time, my friends and I visited Fuxian Lake and chose the Baoliwan Hotel. The experience far exceeded our expectations—a true gem! The hotel is huge; it takes a while to walk from the lobby to the guest rooms, but the scenery along the way is breathtaking. For someone like me who loves taking photos, it's paradise—every corner is a picture-perfect spot. The hotel facilities are also excellent. Although we didn't have much time to experience everything, seeing the gym, children's playground, and other amenities, we felt that couples, families, and groups like us could all find something to enjoy. What deserves the most praise is the staff. Everyone was smiling and incredibly attentive. A special shout-out to Kiki! She proactively called us before check-in to understand our needs and arranged everything for us. To our delight, she upgraded us to a complimentary lake-view room with a stunning view of the azure Fuxian Lake—a truly breathtaking experience! She also prepared a guide to nearby restaurants and attractions, saving us the trouble of doing our own research. During our stay, we encountered any problems, and no matter when we contacted her, she always responded immediately and resolved them quickly. This butler-like service made us feel particularly at ease and cared for. Our two-night stay passed quickly, but the memories remain very vivid. Baoli Bay not only won us over with its facilities, but also deeply impressed us with the exceptional, personalized service represented by Kiki. I highly recommend it to everyone visiting Fuxian Lake. If you're hesitating about choosing a hotel in Fuxian Lake, trust me, Baoli Bay will not disappoint you, especially if you're lucky enough to meet Kiki – your travel happiness will definitely be maximized! This homestay is completely surrounded by fields, and you can see the endless rice fields and distant mountains when you open the window. In the evening, sitting on the terrace and watching the sunset slowly sink into the horizon, the whole sky is dyed golden red, and the insects and birds in the fields have become the most natural background music. After nightfall, the sky full of stars is clearly visible, and occasionally you can see fireflies flying in the fields, which is the real pastoral life!
🧹 Health:
The room was very clean, the bedding was white and fluffy, with a fresh smell of sunlight. The bathroom did not have a trace of water stains or smells, the toilet and sink were as clean as new, and there was no dust in the corner. The wooden floors and wicker chairs in the common areas are also well maintained, and the owner's emphasis on hygiene can be seen.

- The room is simple pastoral style, with log furniture and linen curtains matching just right
- The terrace has lounge chairs and a small coffee table, and it is super pleasant to lie down and watch the sunset in the evening
- Bathroom water pressure is sufficient, hot water comes quickly, toiletries are fresh herbs-flavored
👩🌾 Services:
The boss family is a local farmer, especially simple and enthusiastic. When I checked in, I sent us freshly picked seasonal fruits. I knew that we liked to take pictures and recommended several excellent sunset viewing spots.
💡 Tips:
- There are inevitably mosquitoes in the field homestay, but the room is equipped with mosquito coil liquid and screens, basically no trouble
- Friends who like quiet suggest to bring earplugs, early morning bird calls and insects may be a bit ”lively”
- Remember to bring a coat on the terrace to watch the sunset. The wind in the fields is a bit cool in the evening.
I have recovered the long-lost tranquility and healing here. What I look forward to every day is sitting on the terrace in the evening, holding a cup of hot tea, watching the sun slowly fall into the field.

The front desk staff was incredibly enthusiastic and helpful, assisting with luggage up and down the stairs. The afternoon tea and dried fruit were also excellent. The decor is very unique, and the rooftop offers fantastic photo opportunities. The room amenities are complete, and the toiletries definitely lived up to the description; the shampoo and shower gel were both very good. Overall, I'm very satisfied.
