"Stayed for one night. Bedrooms are nice. Clean,modern and beds are comfortable. We were attending an event at a nearby hotel, had a drink in the bar of this hotel, while deciding on dinner options. The staff on duty really let this hotel down. They were unprofessional and inefficient. Dirty tables were uncleared, while they held a personal and inappropriate conversation between themselves, for guests to clearly over hear. We chose not to dine here that evening,due to the staff and the general area looking dirty and unkempt. Breakfast the next morning was lovely. Plenty of choice, clean and well run. Thankfully the morning staff were a different team and were professional and efficient. However, one male manager in particular was overly stern and unwelcoming. Overall the hotel itself is adequate, while slightly dated, and in need of staff retraining. "

"Our wedding at the Eccles Hotel in Glengarriff this past March was the most special day of our lives. From the moment we arrived until the very last guest left, every single member of the team made us feel so welcome and looked after. The fact that they managed to book the sunshine for March was also a miracle. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. It has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere while still feeling iconic and full of character. The views are breathtaking, and it created the perfect setting for a day we'll cherish forever. Theres plenty of wedding photo ops in the hotel itself aswell as around Glengarriff. The food was simply out of this world. Every course was beautifully presented and tasted incredible. We've had so many compliments from our guests about the quality of the meal, and it's something people are still talking about months later. The local ingredients and ample portions were really welcomed! A huge thank you to the chef and the entire kitchen team for creating such an unforgettable dining experience. The service throughout the day and evening was exceptional. Whether it was the meal service or drinks at the bar, everything was delivered professionally, efficiently, and always with a smile. The bar staff and servers were absolutely wonderful, making sure everyone was looked after while creating such a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Our guests all said the rooms were remarkably comfortable, beautifully equipped, and genuinely felt like a home away from home. It was the perfect place to unwind ( even only briefly for some) after such an incredible celebration. The Bar for the drinks reception with the balcony with seaviews and the ballroom itself where the meal and dancing were held were just perfect. Great dancefloor and we weren't rushed out until we were all spent! Finally, we want to give a very special thank you to our wedding coordinator Mags. Her attention to detail, organisation, kindness, and support throughout the entire planning process and on the day itself gave us complete confidence that everything was in safe hands. Mags made our dream wedding become a reality, and for that we will always be grateful. The flower arrangements she made were the icing on the cake of the perfect day all around. We won't forget the cocktails supplied at key times either! The height of organisation and the common touch, she really couldn't have done more! To everyone at the Eccles Hotel, thank you so much for making the most important day of our lives so unforgettable. We couldn't have imagined a more perfect venue or a more dedicated team.
