"Very kind and thoughtful Reception associates! They took extra steps to ensure you were satisfied and had everything that you needed. While there are actually 3 buildings to choose from, I am Team Historic buildings, and chose to stay on the Limmat River in a newly designed Limmat Suite (in the yellow building, next door to the original pink building.) Good amenities and working A/C. This was a short stopover. I would have liked to have spent an additional day to explore the town and use the spa facilities. A summery evening, with people walking on the promenade on both sides of the river. Pepe Nero's Ristorante, offers a wonderful variety of homemade pastas and fresh salads on an outdoor terrace. Thank you for your hospitality!"

"A very charming hotel in a great part of town. The bed is not what you might expect from a modern hotel, but it is comfortable. Our room had no fridge, no snacks, no water. And the next store is a 15 minute walk away. Find the lovely cafe across. You’ll also need that cafe for breakfast, as the offering we witnessed in the hotel was less appealing than at a Best Western. Barely any choices for meats, sweaty blocks of cheese that everyone handles, eggs you can boil yourself. Who wants to wait 10 minutes for a hard boiled egg?! All in all a really disappointing offering. Something you’d expect from a hostel, not a hotel like this. The rooms open directly onto the inner terraces where people sit and eat. The large dining hall was left unused. The staff is very friendly. I don’t believe we will be back."

"Utterly underwhelming in almost every respect. The weather was hot and the AC was a noisy portable contraption which was ore of an irritation than an advantage. The staff were variable other than those in the F & B team all of whom were fairly horrendous. Dinner on the first night was inexecrable and breakfast on both mornings was depressing in terms of both location and offering The room was not user friendly and I struggle to find anything positive to say other than we managed to secure one of the two parking spaces and that the hotel is handy for the bus and train stations"
