"This is a family youth hostel. The owner looks to be in his 60s and knows Hallstatt very well. The checkin will tell you many travel routes and give you a bunch of timetables. When checking in, he will say that he will send a self-checkin email in advance. In fact, there was no such thing at all. He took my mobile phone to look for it for a long time. It was indeed not there, but it was innocuous. The bed was very comfortable, the bedding was well set, and it was very clean. It was a breath of fresh air in the youth hostel. It was worth staying. "The overall environment is good and suitable for multiple guests. Outside, there's a mountain view and next to it is a school. You can check in yourself in advance. What was really frustrating was the completely self-service nature, including problems in the room that the hotel couldn't address promptly. Also, if you don't close the door at night, a lot of insects come in, as shown in picture one."

All the rooms have heating and AC, and the hotel was also very close to the train station. The hotel owners are also always eager to help you. the highlight of this stay was when Jasmin helped us plan our activities during our stay, with an annotated map and local insight. This really saved us from headaches and research regarding our visit to the area."

"Everything was clean and good. The room was large, the back of the building was nice and quiet. Recently renovated, and the restaurant was particularly nicely decorated. Breakfast was excellent, including egg dishes and pancakes. Afternoon coffee and several daily newspapers were served in the foyer. It was a comfortable place to sit. Friendly staff. We felt completely at home. Central location – right next to the major sights and nature. Top-notch hotel."
