Baobab Tented Camp
9.1 (47 reviews)

Baobab Tented Camp ★★★★

📍 Tarangire National Park, Babati

"It was a fabulous night’s introduction to our upcoming Safari. Aside from the food and accommodation what was most impressive above everything were the sounds of the nature throughout the night. We went on to all the game parks and reserves in the region, but I never heard the same bush sounds again. I regretted not recording it."

Elephant Lodge

Elephant Lodge ★★★★★

📍 Sangaiwe, Babati

"The hotel is very close to Tarangire Park, where elephants come to drink water at midday. The rooms are indeed single-story tin-roofed houses (green tin houses in the distance in the picture below). The rooms are small, but the bedding and towels are very clean. WIFI is only available in the dining area; there is no signal in the rooms. No toothbrushes, slippers, electric kettle, or bottled water are provided. A cup is provided to drink from the tap (supposedly filtered). All hotel drinks are charged separately without prior notice; payment is only made after the drink is finished."

Africa Safari Rift Valley

Africa Safari Rift Valley ★★★

📍 7PMC+2Q, Babati

Tarangire Sopa Lodge
9.0 (47 reviews)

Tarangire Sopa Lodge ★★★★

📍 Mawe Ninga, Babati

"It was fine for a 1-night stay. The lodge itself is well appointed; the rooms were spacious and the beds extremely comfortable. The food was adequate, nothing to write home about, thus 4 stars instead of 5. Mostly vegetarian with 1 meat option at dinner. All the savory dishes were sweet. Zucchini salad, soups & eggplant bake were unnecessarily sweet. Baked goods were dry."

Tarangire Elephant Springs

Tarangire Elephant Springs

📍 Tarangire National Park, Babati

"Very nice lodge, you are submerged in the Savanna either on the Common Space or from the rooms , which are beautiful and confortable. Food is excellent, and so is the Service. A Special thank you to Francis for his professionalism and friendlyness"

Roika Tarangire Tented Lodge

Roika Tarangire Tented Lodge ★★★

📍 Tarangire National Park Tarangire rd, Babati

"The lodge is located in the middle of nature, where the sound of birdsong and the sight of elephants bathing is like a dream. The tents were clean, spacious and full of modern amenities. The food was delicious and fresh. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Such a calm and comfortable environment is really soothing after a Tarangire safari. I would definitely like to return again."

Baobab Tented Camp ★★★★
"The camp was exactly what we wanted. Small and charming, secluded and surrounded by gigantic baobabs, very comfortable tents and bedding, excellent food, professional and friendly staff. If you want to experience the authentic safari experience this is the camp to stay. The Tarangire National Park is also truly worth a visit and highly underrated in comparison with the Serengeti, as it is not so vast and the animals are easier to spot."
