The hospitality was exceptional; the hosts were welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do, complimentary champagne tasting every evening at 6 pm is cherry on the cake. The champagne itself was outstanding—refined, elegant, and memorable. Each tasting came with insightful explanations, making the experience both enjoyable and educational. You can really feel the craftsmanship and heritage behind every bottle. What stood out the most was how personal and genuine the entire visit felt. It wasn’t just a tasting—it was an immersive experience into the world of champagne making. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the region. "We had two wonderful days in one of the little houses. First of all we received excellent information before arriving- regarding location and what to do on the area. Then we had a very warm welcome into this lovely home. The house was very well equipped and had everything you need. Beds are comfortable. La Malmaison is surrounded by nature (probably a bird watchers paradise) though very close to fully experience champagne. Xavier was very helpful to provide a lot of good tips about things to do and also gave us a very knowledgeable introduction to our fridge which we found stocked with a good selection of champagne. We highly recommend this place."

"Not sure why this hotel gets so many poor reviews. It is a standard Campanile outside of Epernay and is perfect for a quiet nights rest with restaurant on site. You can drive into Epernay which has excellent parking during the day to do the sights and is also handy for a drive through the fabulous vineyards, one of which is right next to the hotel. The rooms are standard motel type and, as with all Campanile they have a brilliant shutter you can wind down that eliminates all light. Yes the facade needs a coat of paint but inside the rooms are fine. I was particularly impressed with the manageress. Our toilet ran continually and she immediately came to the room, accessed the cistern and replaced a washer. Brilliant service - I hope the company appreciates her."

"We went there in a group of 70 people, walkers and cyclists. The rooms are cozy and clean. Hearty breakfasts and the chef has created menus that everyone appreciates. I especially remember the kindness of the owners and staff which is highlighted, they do everything to make customers feel good. I recommend."
