"The Hotel le Pont Levis - Franck Putelat is likely the perfect place to visit this historic city. First, it sits at the entrance to Carcassonne's old town. The setting itself is attractive, but you are also just steps away from enjoying the town's charms. The hotel also has some of the most convenient parking in town. The hotel is stylish and modern. Each member of our group had a differently decorated room. The lobby area is warm and inviting -- we actually played a game of Carcassonne (they sell them at the tourist information office and elsewhere) while staying here. The breakfast spread was great. They also laid out the tables in an attractive fashion, a nice touch. We were very happy to have stayed here."

"This hotel is in a great location, close to the Cité district of Carcassonne. If you're exploring the Cité district, I think this hotel is a good choice! Check-in was smooth, and the water dispenser near the lobby, which you can take to your room, was very convenient. Depending on the timing, they also had detox water, which was nice. The only difficulty was that the bathtub drain plug required a bit of a knack to open."

"We absolutely love this hotel! So wonderful to return after the trials of Covid to find that the Chateau de Palaja is as wonderful as ever, with Cathy and Eric providing the very best welcome. We cannot recommend this place highly enough, with its beautiful grounds, stylish rooms and interesting artwork. Whilst there we ate at Restaurant S’comme in the grounds, which was as good as ever with excellent food and wine."

"It's hard to find. The rooms are also strangely distributed. The front desk didn't mention that a password was needed to enter the door at night. Fortunately, I called the front desk and found the mobile phone number after listening to the message, and I still got in. It's a 10-minute walk from the ancient city, which is an advantage."

"Sadly a rather poor show this evening. Slow service, actually very slow, but due not to the young lady serving, but due to her being left alone to serve about 30 covers, food and drinks 😡. The mains were quite nice, but the cheese platter? Two microscopic pieces of cheese, one of which had certainly seen better days, and no bread until requested, twice! Shall we return, I think not 🤣"
