"Nice view from the hotel - there is a pool with sea view. However, very far away from everything. If you want to go eat in town, can only call taxi (15 euro for 3-4km drive). Pick up service usually don’t come up to the hill and asked us to walk down the hill all the time. The road downhill is very slippery, my friend fell on the road!! Better to stay closer to town at a more convenient location. Staff at hotel are very friendly and breakfast was nice."

"We had a lovely stay at the Sunset Villa. The villa was beautiful and just like the photos and has an amazing view of the sea. It is a short taxi ride to Argassi where all the restaurants and bars are, unlike some other villas which are in the middle of nowhere. But you can hire a car if you want to explore further. Harry was a brilliant host and gave us recommendations for restaurants etc… I would definitely recommend!! "

"We would like to share our experience after spending one wonderful week at Windmill Hotel in Zakynthos. First of all, we would like to thank the hotel manager, who is also the owner. She is a very kind, polite, and welcoming lady. She genuinely cares about her guests and pays close attention to their comfort. Everything was excellent, especially the dinners by the sea, which were truly memorable. We would also like to offer two suggestions based on our personal experience, which we hope may be helpful. The first suggestion concerns the guest room doors. Since guests come from many different countries and cultures, people naturally have different habits. During our stay, some guests occasionally closed their room doors very loudly, especially early in the morning or late at night, which created a lot of noise. This could easily be solved by installing door closers on the room doors. Door closers prevent doors from being slammed, allow them to close gently and automatically, increase the lifespan of the doors, and also ensure that doors are never accidentally left open. Our second suggestion is about the airport drop-off and pick-up point. Because the entrance to the hotel is quite narrow, the transfer buses cannot enter the hotel grounds and have to pick up and drop off guests on the main road. The problem is that the main road is also quite narrow, and there is no comfortable or safe place for guests to wait. Sometimes the wait can be as long as 20 minutes, and standing in the hot sun can be very uncomfortable. Perhaps the hotel could set aside a small area of its land as an official Windmill Hotel Drop-off and Pick-up Point, with a simple shelter to provide shade. A sign saying "Windmill Hotel Drop-off & Pick-up Point" would also be a great form of advertising for the hotel. As far as we noticed, none of the nearby hotels have done this, so it would be an innovative and thoughtful improvement. Finally, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to the hotel manager and to every member of the staff. Thank you all for your kindness, hard work, and excellent hospitality. We truly enjoyed our stay and wish you continued success."

"We’ve just returned from an amazing 7 night stay at Contessa Hotel Argassi, Zante. The quality of the hotel in our opinion was much superior to its actual star rating and believe it more to be a 4* based on our previous hotel stays throughout Greece. Our room was modern, very clean, spacious and in very good order, as was all of the hotel. The swimming pool area was excellent too and the best sunbeds we’ve had at a hotel. All of the staff were super friendly and Angela especially who was on reception was a real asset to the hotel. So we’re the guys who worked at the pool bar Panos and the team also really contributed to a fantastic stay. The friendly night porter Manos was also on hand every night if you needed anything. The Contessa is a real gem of a hotel at its price point and we can’t recommend enough."

"Wow wow wow! First time going to Greece and couldn’t have asked for a better resort or hotel. From start to finish the hotel staff were accommodating. The pool area and sun loungers have been upgraded and are very luxury. The hotel was very close to shops, bars and restaurants. The rooms were very nice, modern bathroom and large balcony. The breakfast was better than expected and snack bar did amazing food and drinks. Alexandra the receptionist was lovely and solved any problems we had. Would definitely visit again!!"

"Katerina palace feels like coming back home! I have stayed here 3 times now and won't book anywhere different. The hotel is clean, friendly and the staff are great! I stay in the studio apartments which are well equipped and clean. The bar has a great selection of drinks and food. Love my afternoon pina colada round the pool! Can't wait to return next year in may and September."

"he hotel is for undemanding clientele. The reception is reluctant. Kudos to the cleaner from building C, perfect cleaning! As for the food - breakfast is always the same. Lunches and dinners are different every day. Unclean beach like the hotels next door - lazy staff. I rate the hotel positively for undemanding clientele. Not suitable for children and demanding clientele! Next time I would prefer another hotel in Zakynthos. He hotel is 3*, no 4*"

"Amazing hotel with wonderful facilities. We were upgraded to a beautiful room with amazing sunrise and sunset views. The whole hotel oozes an effortless class. Lovely private beach accessible from two places, one a bit stoney but a better slipway through the pool bar and garden. The bar food was lovely and well priced and the bar was right next to a very well kept pool area. Breakfast was good with a nice selection of cooked and cold choices, for all tastes. Nothing better than a relaxing breakfast within earshot of the lapping waves. Good location with a short walk to lovely tavernas and bars. We couldn't have wished for more. Loved this place and will be back."

"We arrive 6th September our room was not ready so whilst my wife sat in reception I went to find room 308 we had been allocated, I found it at the back of the hotel overlooking a children's playground. I made my feelings known to reception and they said that's what I booked a studio apartment I later found out there's only 3 studio apartments in the hotel tucked round the back, so if your booking with Jet2 and it says only 3 rooms left you know it's 1 of these 108,208 and 308. I think most people have an early flight to zante from England so that night I put the do not disturb notice on the door, after a good night's sleep we left the apartment at 10.30 and returned about 5 that evening having taken the notice off we found the room had not been cleaned and the poo bin not empty Went to reception and they said we had the notice on the door when the cleaners came and they don't come back. The following morning about 9.10 I was cooking breakfast and a knock on the door it was 2 cleaner's they came in and swept the floor put the bath mat over the bath mopped the floor and emptied the bins and left I'm still cooking breakfast it took an it took about 6 minutes the the next day again I'm cooking breakfast but this time it took 3 minutes 40 seconds, at no point was the toilet sink or bath/shower cleaned the cleaners don't have any cleaning materials at all. Photos will follow. Sink Kitchen door hinge broken, apartment door jams open you have to lift it to close, microwave lead 1 meter short from the plug had to lift it onto the sink to use. After 5 days I decided to clean the toilet myself with a bit of washing up liquid and the toilet brush, I think the bathrooms are only cleaned on changeover. The rooms are tired and have the minimum utensils and a odd mix of glasses. We have been to Argassi for the last 15 years and had to move nearer the town my wife can't walk very far so the hotel is ideal for surrounding restaurants and the face of it the hotel looks lovely I even checked it out last year I asked to see a room and it was fine BUT it wasn't a studio so please be warned"

"Just got back from a very pleasant 2 week stay at Denise apartments . Excellent location , short transfer from airport and very close to shops and bars but quiet enough for a good nights sleep . The apartments are spotlessly clean , towels and bedding changed regularly . The owners are friendly and helpful but not intrusive . There is a lovely pool area which is also spotlessly clean . The owners very kindly cooked a meal for us one night which was totally unexpected , also they offered to take us to the airport for our flight home. Thanks to all at Denise apartments for making our holiday very enjoyable "

"Hi been here for just over a week now...was reading previous reviews on this hotel before I arrived I didn't know what I was arriving to...but on arrival my fear left me thankfully...it's not a flash hotel which I wasn't expecting for the price I'd paid.. rooms are clean view is beautiful overlooking the ocean staff are more than helpful and very friendly food is good also price's are also responsible.,... so please don't Go by the bad reviews that you read on this family hotel some people can't be pleased... come and enjoy this little hotel "
