"I stayed at Aqua Petra in June and, unfortunately, was quite disappointed. The hotel felt rundown and bare, with no attention to detail. Staff were virtually nonexistent, and the property is located in a very remote area. The place was swarming with mosquitoes, and we had a terrible night’s sleep. Thankfully, I only stayed one night. However, if all you care about is being close to the beach, this is one of the few hotels that offers that kind of proximity."

A perfect welcome from Andreas, who gave us excellent advice even though we were already familiar with the island. Excellent breakfast with a very varied selection."

"Loved this hotel from the moment we arrived in lovely Amorgos. The owners were really warm and friendly and keen to help out with anything. The room was big and spotlessly clean with a standard double bed which was a bit on the small side for us. We had a small balcony looking seawards. Breakfast was provided and we were always offered eggs freshly cooked if we wanted them. There is a small seawater pool with chairs and tables besides, plus some comfy chairs in the shade. There is a small bar which was handy. The hotel is very close to the main centre of Egalis where there are many restaurants and bars , the bus stop and a beach, so a great location."

"I came to visit as I am considering this place for a future retreat, and even travelling solo, I had the most beautiful stay. Everyone is so amazing from the guests who welcomed me in like an old friend, to the staff who were genuinely kind, warm, and lovely to chat with. The family who run the place are incredibly accommodating and make you feel truly at home, even when you’re far away from home. There’s such a special sense of community and warmth here that makes it so easy to relax and feel completely at ease."

"We stayed at the brand new studios across the street. Ours had a large corner terrace with a beautiful sea/bay view. The studios were cleaned every day, with linen changed, dishes washed if you forgot them and new Nespresso capsules. Real kitchen with 4 burners, oven and washing machine for which Andreas, the owner, provided me with the detergent. The "Village" part below is really beautiful! Andreas is very kind and always available. The property is a three-minute drive from Katapola Port and has parking. I highly recommend it."

"Disgusting place you should try to avoid at all costs. The staff where terribly rude. The rooms where used and abused stank of mould. The property is dangerous for children as there are exposed electrics. There are much much better places to stay on Amorgos."
