Ibersol Almuñecar Beach & Spa Hotel
"Very pretty hotel just right on the side of the sea! Perfect for relaxation! The bed was really comfortable in the room that we had booked. I travelled to a lot of places, this hotel has a very special green reception hall, so pretty."
Playacálida
"Very good hotel! everything worked perfectly! Very clean and nice hotel! the staff is very nice. Thank you all staff of the hotel. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Hotel Noy
"Quiet beach right in front of a clean hotel"
Hotel Best Alcázar
"Hotel is near village Le Herredura, you can go to this village and supermercado by feet but also when you have all inclusive option by bus-Julia every half hour. Room was clean and every Day cleaned by Staff. Beach isn't sandy. Tere are Rocks in the beach. Staff in hotel is friendly but more friendly to Spanish People."
Hotel Toboso Almuñécar
"Everything is great, it's a 10-minute walk to the beach."
Hotel Suites Albayzin Del Mar
"Hotel was clean and great pool area. We never had no issue finding sunbeds. The apartment was basic with no kettle, toaster, grill or cooker and with only a couple of pans so limited what you can cook in the apartment. Staff were always very friendly and helpful. We booked a 3 bedroom suite because the kids don’t like to share but were told we had to have a 2 bedroom suite because there were only 4 of us - they did give us a pool/sea view to make up for this. Breakfast was good with a lot of choice but can get very busy between 0930 and 1030 with long queues for the coffee machine! The hotel deco is a bit dated and not to my liking - far too many mirrors and chrome and some bits looking quite tired now - could do with a bit of a makeover but that didn’t affect our stay. Parking around the hotel is difficult and beware of the €20 a night charge to use the underground hotel car park which I think is far too expensive and I wasn’t aware of this when booking the hotel “with parking”. The area was quiet and it was about a 10-15 min walk to the seafront where there are loads of restaurants. The beach here is grey gravel/pebbles."
Arrayanes Playa Almuñecar
"The hotel is in an unbeatable location. Beautiful views of the sea. The hotel urgently needs a renovation of its furniture. That furniture was used during the filming of Alfredo Landa's first spicy film with Betty Mesiego and other average girls (I think that's what the film was called). And the toilet, it's another level! I don't even know how to describe it... it could be 50 years old. I wanted to make a special mention of a girl who claims to be a barista, and according to her there are few left in Spain (in Madrid there may be 80,000) hahahahaha let's see, her CCC course on coffee, she should go over it again. If I had her as an employee she wouldn't last in my business even 5 minutes. Besides being rude, she has no idea how to serve coffee. I'll leave it there. Customers go there to rest and for them to bring us a strong coffee with a little milk (double espresso with a little milk) or double cortado with a little milk x. Absolutely all of her colleagues made me divine coffee except for her. What a joke! She gave me free lessons on cup measurements about coffee. Do you think I was going to argue with you at that hour? In my business, I don't even give lessons on what I sell, much less tell them that they have no idea by constantly clicking my mouth. I am a professional and as such, when they ask me for something that doesn't match the name, I manage to sell them what they ask for, without giving lessons to anyone and without being rude. You have no idea how to serve people for a ******* coffee. Ahhhh, and another very serious thing! My husband went downstairs at 7 am to leave the hotel and the door was closed and NO ONE WAS THERE! He found another super scared client at the reception because she had been waiting there for 15 minutes and no one came. My husband obviously had to search through the drawers to find the keys and open it himself. IF A FIRE OCCURS THE DOOR IS CLOSED... I don't even want to imagine. Anyway... a stone's throw from the beach but overall I'd give it a 1."
H Boutique la Caleta Bay
"Great location. Fantastic hosts. Actually all the staff was wonderful and helpful. Very clean and well maintained. It’s not super posh but it is very nice and has great showers, water pressure, etc. We had a room with an Ocean View and a small balcony. Just lovely to sit out and play cards or have a glass of wine. The breakfast is lovely and the Schnauzer and calico cat make it extra special."
La Tartana Hotel Boutique
"We stayed twice here and what a lovely experience it was . We stayed in room 9 and it was a beautiful room outside a gorgeous cool courtyard with water fountain. The 2nd time We visited we ate at the restaurant the food was out of this world must admit best food we have eaten by far. Antonio and his wife were the best hosts nothing was too much trouble defo be visiting again."

Sol Los Fenicios
"This is a lovely, quaint, small hotel in a good location. The hotel only has around 40 bedrooms so it is quiet and ideal for couples. The food on the breakfast buffet was delicious and fresh. The evening food was acceptable but not great so we did eat out a couple of evenings. I can’t remember what it’s called but can recommend the restaurant almost directly opposite the hotel - situated on the beach. I can also highly recommend eating at a restaurant just a few doors down from the hotel - blue and white signage. Delicious pizzas and slow cooked lamb! Anyway, back to the hotel…I think some music in the restaurant there would be a welcome addition as it is so small with so few diners, it is almost silent at times! The staff are friendly & helpful - they humoured me as I practiced my Spanish! Our bedroom was spacious and clean; we payed a little more for a sea view which we enjoyed. The bed was a bit hard but we slept well - it was quiet except for the sound of the sea. The hotel is on a main(ish) road but it doesn’t get too busy. The beach is shingle and not sand. We sat around the hotel’s swimming pool a couple of times - it was a bit too cold to go into the water in May - and enjoyed the view from the roof of the hotel which is where the pool is situated. I would recommend this hotel for a peaceful couples / adults break."
Apartamentos Apal Chinasol
"Been here three times. So decided to pay another visit. Was not disappointed. Loving views of the beach. Staff very helpful and friendly. Need not ask for more plenty to do and see in this area. Love the restaurant as the food was so mouth watering see photos. Will visit again"
