RIU PALACE TIKIDA TAGHAZOUT

Agadir
I’ll start with the not so good stuff as I like to end on a high note and there certainly was some great things about this hotel Bad - swim up rooms: great to avoid the mad early sun lounger reservations (lots of beds gone by 7am) but unfortunately we were woken up for 5 nights out of 7 by moving furniture in the lobby above at 2am and 6am. This is the main reason for my lower score, we paid a lot more for that room and ended up feeling more tired than when we arrived! The reception staff didn’t really take this seriously when I complained after two nights of jt - Food quality is inconsistent but overall a bit boring. However the buffet rooms were kept really clean, I saw staff walking round checking the food temperature regularly which was good sign. Some great dishes - beef and lamb tagine. The al a cartes are very poor food wise but the service is great I know all inclusive food is usually pretty much the same but we have stayed other places for less money that had better options. - cocktails were pretty bad, but the wine and spirits were very good and staff willing to try new cocktail recipes if you asked and these tended to be better Good - SPOTLESSLY CLEAN! I don’t know how they manage it! But I did not see one speck of dirt my entire time and the hotel managers should be very proud of the cleaning and housekeeping staff who maintain it so well. - stylish and beautiful hotel - it is very impressive looking and does feel luxury - some staff are brilliant and friendly, they really go out of their way to make sure the kids are having a good time which was lovely to see - large indoor bar which was cosy - loved the live music - Cats - there were a lot of cats about which I know some people wouldn’t like but they were clearly well looked after by the staff (no signs of fleas) and the staff were quick to move them away from anyone who didn’t like them - gorgeous outside seating options for meals - although the food overall wasn’t amazing, the dessert options were and I would say that the buffer offered a lot of options for children - so many day time activities around the pool and the event staff really went out of there way to include people - I felt incredibly safe here and there were lots of female groups who seemed to feel the same

Hotel Argana Agadir

I have stayed at this hotel previously and left great reviews. However this trip was very different and after 2 weeks I moved out to the hotel next door which is much better. The front of house staff here are delightful, particularly Karima. However staff on the pool bar/ cafe are inexperienced and need training. They also kept running out of wine. I had one pizza lunch here which was dreadful. Breakfast is good. I was allocated one of the refurbished rooms with a sea view. It looked great, although the bathroom was tiny - as I was staying solo, that didn't really matter. Some service issues with room which wasn't cleaned one day, Toiletries were not replaced and I ran out of toilet paper twice. The safety deposit box didnt work. The towels were grey and had many threads hanging off them. Sadly it is currently more of a building site that a hotel- they are working at different sites within the hotel and grounds, and it is impossible to avoid loud building work from 10am to 7pm. Rooms are being completely refurbished - doors and windows and flooring and bathrooms. Consequently lots of drilling and banging. They are also replacing the 2 lifts-- one was out of service and will be for quite some more time. The other is new but went out of service at least three times during my stay- but was quickly repaired. Waiting times for the lift were unacceptable. They were also building a large wooden structure in the gardens. Consequently, 6 days of heavy electric stapling going on ! I think they tried to drown out some of the building noise by playing loud music from 9.30 onwards. It didn't work and the music itself became very irritating ! After dark the noise from the pool bar / cafe is totally unacceptable, as they ramp up the music until 11pm or later. Twice a week they have karioke which really is horrendous- so so load. Terrible voices. Mainly French songs. It really was so bad but they refused my requests to turn the sound down- there only suggestion at 11pm was to move rooms- but that included packing and removing all my clothing , too - so hardly acceptable ! I thought they were just giving me a quiet room to sleep in , but no ! The Internet quality is very poor. It comes and goes even in reception! Do not expect to get connection in your room. Most guests form a huddle in reception to gain an Internet connection. Finally, the pricing. I paid about £40 per night for this hotel for a 2 week booking and a separate 1 week booking. I tried to book for the 4th week but was quoted over €150euros per night ! What ? No way is this even a €100 per night hotel!! In any event I cancelled and moved out after 2 weeks - that was the worst 2 weeks I have ever had in a hotel ! MY advice. Do not stay here!! Please look at photos.

First visit to agadir loved it,ĺ but the only down fall was the hotel, when you first enter it is beautiful , the pool area & garden area again very stunning, but when we were taken to our room it was horrendous, the toilets smelled & were dirty, the bedding had blood stains on it, we were given a room that we hadn't booked. We'd paid extra for a sea view room and we weren't given that, when we did go to treception to enquire why, they said there was no availability depite us booking over 6 months in advance, the room should have been reserved for our stay. We requested to be moved straight away & to be told no rooms are available, we argued that we had booked the holiday Feb so our room should have been available. The reception staff abdul mutalib, was rude & not very helpfull there seemed to be smirk on his face when we approached him about our room as though he knew we would be complaining Luckily the love holiday rep Nurruddin was available whom was very nice, honest and really accomodating throughout our trip, he advised us to spk to khadija in the morning who will change our room, to which she did, khadija was very nice and looked after us. The rooms are outdated & need re decorating, the bathroom continuously smell &, the cleaning is not up to standard there are stains on the bathroom tiles & walls. The cleaners dont clean very well just change towels, mop floor & change toilet rolls, the whole week the toilet, sink or bath had not been cleaned, i had to clean the sink, mirror & shower area myself. The food was not very appetising & not much variety everyday there was the same salads, spaghetti bolegnase, rice, chicken or beef on alternate days. not much available for children. Despite the disappointment of having to change my room twice in one week, we had a lovely time in agadir, it is a shame the hotel ruined aspects of our holiday. For a hotel in the prime location, their standards are very low. Thank you to the love holidays staff for helping us out.

New Farah Hotel

I spend 2 or 3 days in Agadir every year, and always stay at `The New Farah. The staff is simply amazing, especially the manager and reception staff. They treat me with such respect, they are helpful and so friendly. My room is always ready even when I arrive at the crack of dawn. I always end up with a big room, with a beautiful bathroom. The sky lounge and the pool are great too. I just love the location. the whole place is always spotless.

Avoid! Booked this hotel for a mother/daughter holiday to celebrate my daughters 18th and my 51st. On arrival we were told we were being upgraded & thought this was wonderful (even though we thought this a bit odd as the French couple before us were told the hotel was fully booked & they couldn’t upgrade)…only to find the next day we had been placed above construction works! When I complained at reception, they told me there were no works…until I played them the recording from my room! They later admitted the kitchens were being upgraded. I asked to move hotels as this could be heard throughout. I was told to speak to the rep the next day who had 10 other hotels we could move to. The rep did not show…all day! The music around the pool was turned right up to hide the noise…not relaxing at all! The internet cuts in and out, again we were told this was temporary. It was not. I have complained to Love Holidays. The hotel has denied any construction work saying it was a two hour water leak fix. Another fairytale! I have recordings over the two days and a photo of the construction works. The reception staff are rude & deny any failures! The hotel is in need of maintenance. Carpets are filthy & paint peeling from walls. Food could be improved also. We could have overlooked this…but not the loud drilling & constant hammering noise on our walls!

Robinson Agadir - All Inclusive
4.4/566 Reviews
Arrival - This was quick and easy, our room was amazing it was a junior suite in atlas so much space including a walk in wardrobe and the massive walk in shower was just brilliant, as some people have already said the bed and more the pillows just 5 star. The complex itself is enormous and you do need to be quite fit to get around but it's so clean and the staff are so friendly you start to not notice the walks. The Pools - these are split into different levels with the lower pool more like an ice bath as this is not heated but the upper pool is nice. Honestly in the 10 days we stayed here there was never a time we did not have choices of sunbeds around the pool it was just great. Food and Drink – When we go all inclusive we always choose min 4 out of 5 rating and 4 star hotel just to try and guarantee a better standard and honestly this is the best food we have had at any of the previous dozen or so hotels we have been to. There is very little pre- cooked food as most of it is cooked at separate stations it really is like a military operation and the quality of the ingredients is fantastic. Drinks are what you would expect and always free flowing we had no problems with anyone trying to charge us any extra for what we drank. There has been a number of comments about table sizes and lack of small tables again nothing we had any problems with if we sat indoors there was plenty of tables for 2 and if we sat outside then we just sat at a table for 4 and sometimes someone will join you but that is no big problem either. (Most of the hotel guests are German or French but they nearly all speak English to some degree). Entertainment - We happen to be there on Halloween night and I have never seen so much effort and attention to detail put into something (download and check the app before going you will know what clothes to take for each night). The rest of the entertainment was ok. Why 4 stars not 5 – This is because our first 5 days where amazing the whole hotel was full of energy and smiling faces both guests and staff it had a real chilled and laid back atmosphere, however the last 5 days the whole atmosphere changed not that it was bad or anything its just the place almost just went to sleep, the average age went up by about 30 years and people just seemed a little grumpy this also came across with the staff just not as many happy faces but that said we still had a fabulous holiday.

The counter is very enthusiastic and will take the initiative to introduce you to how to play in the local area, that is, the location of the hotel is slightly biased, and the hotel has a restaurant similar to a Chinese restaurant.
