"The only positive thing about this hotel were the room, big and spacious, and the location, super central. Although the moquette is unhygienic. I always appreciate a luggage rack but one in a room for 2 people is ridiculous. We also got unlucky with the bathroom as the shower curtain was mounted wrong so taking a shower meant creating a lake in the bathroom. The hotel is not very well organised, we had to wait a lot to check-in and when it was finally our turn, even though the room was ready, we would have had to pay to check in earlier for mere 50 minutes. Embarrassing. We left the luggages and came back later and had to queue again with all the guests that had just arrived, for more than half an hour. We only needed the key cards, we already did all the paperwork. They preauthorised 50€ per night on our cards, in case we wanted to use the room service or the restaurant, which we explained we didn’t. And if you looked at the room service menu, you wouldn’t want to as well.. I would expect a famous chain like the Hilton to know that “Taglietelle Carbonara” doesn’t exist, it’s “Spaghetti carbonara” or “Rigatoni alla carbonara”. Furthermore “Spaghetti bolognese” doesn’t exist as well, it’s “tagliatelle bolognese”. There’s a pool but it’s unclear if it’s available to every guest. The staff is not keen on divulging information. It would be nice if more of the staff would be able to speak English (and maybe a third language) as a lot of the guests are tourists from other countries."

"The hotel is very far from the city. Even though it's located outside the city, they wanted us to pay 16 euros for parking. We wanted to go to the pool, but they wanted us to pay 5 euros per person. The rooms are old, the beds and pillows weren't comfortable at all. We wanted to use the fitness center, but we regretted it. The equipment was very old and unusable. The attendant, who was watching us through the camera, constantly told us to put towels on our bottoms, spoiling our stay. I've never seen such a disgrace during my trip. I don't recommend it to anyone. Don't stay at this hotel. The service is non-existent. The staff is not friendly."

"We changed the room with the Frauenkirche view to a bigger room 300(39 m2). However the bathroom door is shared with the cupboards. That disturb the other when one goes to toilet in the night. The door makes noise and lights from the bathroom wakes up the other. These for 3 nights we didn’t sleep well. The elegant Grand cafe close by is wonderful in the evening for drinks."

"The hotel location is a bit tricky. I thought it would be inconvenient to use without a car. I booked a large room because of the baby, but it was very spacious. There was a queen-size bed and two single beds. I requested a crib when I booked, but the hotel said they didn't accept that request. They did provide a crib, though. The water was really hot. There were two sinks, which was convenient. I don't know how to use the sauna in the basement. There was no one managing it, and there were no towels. I thought I should wear my swimsuit, put on the robe provided in the room, and bring my own towel, but I ended up not using it. The breakfast was average. It was a European breakfast with nothing special to offer."

The only and biggest downside is there is no door to the bathroom. I don’t understand why does the hotel has no bathroom door for a quad sharing room. To make things worse there was a mirror facing the entrance of the bathroom, which meant if there are people sitting on the bed looking at the mirror they could have a full view of what’s going on in the bathroom. Does not make any sense. Book if you are comfortable with an open bath."

"Hotel was clean and very dated and old. Amenities within the room was comparable to a only budget hotel - no bottled water, no coffee machine, small bath tub, very dated furniture. NH Collection Dresden Altmarkt was a much better choice at at very similar price points and equally good location or even better (complimentary in-room premium bottled water, capsule coffee and machine refilled all day, sizeable bath tub and nicely furnished room). I was going nuts using the shower in the room (apparently I'm not the only one who experienced it, look up google reviews on that), the water from the shower head was going between scalding hot and freezing cold, I was moving towards and away from the water everytime I showered. Some of the service staffs were not helpful at all, the night crew was not willing to take down my requests as a note for the morning crew (I'm not sure if this is a European work culture to only do tasks that were meant for themselves) and told me to call in the morning for the requests through the next staff shifts. Would I stay here? Never again. There's better choices (NH Collection Dresden Altmarkt) around the area and a total let down on the Hilton brand."
