When you arrive at Thanon Banthat Thong, you'll definitely be drawn to the long queue outside Neung Nom Nua (a Banthat Thong branch). Every time I pass by, it's packed with people—this creative toast shop is truly popular!

I specifically came early to queue this time, but I still waited almost 45 minutes before it was my turn. But after the first bite, I knew it was worth it!! 🍞🔥

They specialize in thick-cut toast with a wide variety of savory and sweet options. When you cut into it, the filling bursts out, releasing an irresistible aroma.

The interior has a cute and trendy mixed style. Although there aren't many seats, the turnover rate is quite fast. The staff are friendly and will proactively recommend flavors, no wonder it's so popular!

Although there's a queue, I highly recommend everyone to experience it. This kind of wait that makes you question your existence, only to have your taste buds conquered in one bite, is the most memorable surprise of your trip!

This all-you-can-eat seafood restaurant was a place my husband had been looking forward to for ages. We'd heard so many people recommended it, even our taxi driver raved about it! That really raised our expectations.

And sure enough, we were immediately captivated by the delicious seafood! We ate our fill of all kinds of fresh shrimp. To be honest, I don't usually eat shrimp, but the shrimp here was absolutely amazing! With their special sauce, I couldn't stop eating. Every single shrimp was so fresh and juicy, it was incredibly satisfying.

Although the restaurant is a bit out of the way, honestly, the price is excellent value for the quality and ingredients. Definitely great value! The only minor disappointment was that the crab meat was a bit limited, but if I come back next time, I think I'd eat all the shrimp to my heart's content for an even more satisfying experience.

The restaurant offers both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned areas. Bangkok's evening weather is more comfortable than during the day, so for those who don't mind not having air conditioning, the non-air-conditioned area is a great option; the environment is spacious and comfortable.

This seafood feast was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend it – it's definitely worth a try!

Who can resist a hotel right next to a BTS station?
It’s really, really, really convenient!!
-
📍About the Location
Located in the bustling city center of Bangkok, it’s truly unbeatable! It’s the only hotel in Bangkok with direct access to both the Airport Rail Link and BTS Phaya Thai Station, connected by an exclusive skywalk straight to the lobby.

🚇Transportation
From Suvarnabhumi Airport, take the Airport Rail Link directly to Phaya Thai Station. After exiting, follow the signs to the exclusive sky corridor, and within 5-10 minutes you’ll be inside the hotel lobby.

🏙️Shopping District
It’s just two BTS stops to the Siam shopping district, super convenient for shopping. On the hotel’s ground floor and within a few minutes’ walk, you’ll find 7-11🏪, Turtle convenience store, and the popular Factory Coffee.

🏊Hotel Facilities
▪ 22nd-floor pool: The view is incredibly open with a 180° cityscape, right next to the poolside bar🍹. Perfect for watching the sunset or enjoying a drink in the evening, the atmosphere is amazing.
▪ 37th-floor sky pool: Even more thrilling! Some areas have a glass bottom design, allowing you to see the traffic below while swimming—super cool! Watching the Bangkok skyline here, every shot is a masterpiece📷.

🛏️Room Amenities
Rooms are on high floors with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Bangkok cityscape, very soothing; the large bathtub in the bathroom is right by the window🛁, so you can soak while enjoying the night view—pure bliss.

🍽️About Dining
▪ Breakfast deserves praise! From Western, Thai to Chinese options. Be sure to try the freshly cooked boat noodles and mango sticky rice🍚, very authentic! The coffee is also good, and the dining area is spacious. It gets busy on weekends but the service keeps up.
▪ On the 22nd floor, there’s a Mediterranean restaurant. Highly recommend the Saturday night buffet, rumored to have grilled tiger prawns, foie gras, unlimited Häagen-Dazs, and many people recommend it.

🌟A delightful encounter in Bangkok — The Standard

The moment I stepped into The Standard’s lobby, I was captivated by the relaxed yet stylish atmosphere. The lobby’s design is very distinctive, modern with a touch of vintage flair, and the lighting is perfectly soft, making me feel gently embraced. After dragging my luggage and checking in, the front desk staff was super friendly, efficiently handling the check-in while introducing me to the hotel’s various facilities. At that moment, I knew this stay was going to be great.

🏊‍♀️Amazing wellness facilities

The hotel’s gym and pool quickly became my favorites. The gym is fully equipped with treadmills and all kinds of fitness machines, and the environment is very quiet, allowing me to fully focus during workouts. The pool is even more impressive, stylishly designed with crystal-clear water surrounded by greenery. I made sure to swim a few laps every day, feeling all my fatigue wash away. What surprised me most was the dedicated relaxation area by the pool, filled with comfortable loungers where I often lay soaking up the sun, enjoying a leisurely afternoon.

🛌Perfect stay experience

The room was exquisitely decorated—simple yet cozy. The bed was especially comfortable, with a mattress that was just the right firmness; I sank right in and slept soundly. Plus, the room had an amazing view—pulling back the curtains revealed the lively street scene outside, full of energy. Every time I returned to the room, I felt a warm sense of home. A small detail that touched me was the high-quality toiletries with a fresh scent, making the experience even more pleasant.

🍽️A culinary journey

The hotel’s restaurant truly satisfied my appetite. The breakfast selection was incredibly rich, with various breads, fruits, drinks, and hot dishes, ensuring I was full every morning. The restaurant’s ambiance was also great, with plenty of natural light, making dining there a joyful experience. Besides breakfast, the other hotel restaurants were worth trying—I enjoyed authentic Thai cuisine here, perfectly spicy and delicious, every bite a delight.

📍Super convenient location

The Standard’s location is really convenient, right in the heart of Bangkok with many attractions nearby. It’s especially close to the famous Chatuchak Weekend Market, which I visited daily. The market offers all kinds of trinkets and tasty street food, with new surprises every time. The hotel is also close to the subway station, making travel very easy—getting anywhere was a breeze, which was very important to me.

📝Tips

When checking in, it’s a good idea to learn about the hotel’s activity schedule in advance; sometimes they offer free yoga or cooking classes, which are fun. Also, the hotel staff are very enthusiastic and always ready to help with any questions. Lastly, don’t forget to visit the hotel’s rooftop terrace to enjoy the night view—Bangkok’s nightscape is truly beautiful and will make your trip worthwhile.

In short, my stay at The Standard was unforgettable. From the wellness facilities to every detail of the stay, I felt the warmth and comfort of home. Next time I come to Bangkok, I will definitely choose this place again.

Dinner at W Hotel | The Kitchen Table - A Dream Evening Buffet ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I must share my experience of dining at W Hotel! As someone who travels extensively, I can confidently say this is one of the best hotel dinners I've ever had, even compared to those in China.

🦞 Seafood - The Absolute Highlight!
Fresh sashimi and sushi that rival specialized Japanese restaurants in quality. Every evening offers a rich selection, and the fish is incredibly fresh. As a seafood lover, I could spend the entire dinner in this section alone!

🥞 Teppanyaki Station - My Favorite!
Here, the chef prepares pancakes right in front of you, and you can choose your toppings:
- Beef 🥩
- Salmon 🐟
- Various vegetables 🥗

I especially loved the beef! And here's the best part - you can choose the doneness of your meat! Rare, medium, well-done - just like in a real steakhouse. The chef cooks it to your preference and serves it hot. Such personalized service at a buffet is rare!

🍾 Drinks
There are two package options:
- With alcohol
- Without alcohol

Everything is included in the dinner price - very cost-effective. A glass of wine or champagne with dinner? Perfect! The atmosphere is top-notch.

🍨 The Only Downside
There's very little ice cream - only one flavor. But considering the overall variety of the dinner, this is a minor issue.

💡 Why You Should Try It?
✅ Fresh ingredients, especially seafood
✅ Dishes are prepared in front of you and can be customized
✅ Professional and friendly staff
✅ Elegant evening ambiance
✅ Excellent value for money

⏰ Useful Information
Restaurant: The Kitchen Table
Location: W Hotel
Tip: Arrive early to enjoy your dinner leisurely and try everything

Conclusion
Instead of spending time searching for a dinner spot, indulge in this luxurious buffet at W Hotel. Quality, service, ambiance - everything is top-notch. Highly recommended for seafood lovers and those who appreciate quality!

I'm having breakfast for dinner! 🌙

Day 1: Arrived at the airport early morning and booked the airport rail link directly to Asoka Hotel via Trip. The journey was quick and convenient without any transfers, and the hotel is located near a metro station, which perfectly aligns with the places I plan to visit during this trip.

First, I took the metro to the popular Thai milk tea shop KHIRI in Chinatown, then strolled to Song Wat Road in the Old Town area. This street is filled with narrow alleys, markets, boutique shops, coffee shops, and plenty of local snacks. The street-side food stalls are bustling and exude a vibrant local atmosphere.

1. Song Wat Road has numerous photo-worthy spots, so be prepared to snap away! 😂

In the evening, I visited the newly opened mall Dusit Central Park, which has plenty of shops and eateries. For dinner, I enjoyed Hainanese chicken rice at Doo Table.

[Tips]
Enjoy the stunning sunset views of Bangkok at dusk.

Day 2: In the morning, I indulged in brunch at the charming Café Piccolo Vicolo, which is surrounded by small shops worth exploring. Then, I spontaneously decided to visit City of Massage for a foot massage. The service and environment were excellent, offering great value for money and instant relief from fatigue.

[Tips] The massage parlor only accepts cash.

For dinner, I revisited Sri Trat Restaurant and Bar, where their durian curry chicken is a unique dish. The restaurant is usually packed during dinner hours, so make sure to reserve a table. Afterward, I explored the nearby EmSphere and bought some snacks to enjoy back at the hotel.

Day 3: In the morning, I had breakfast at Shelterhood Brew & Chill, where I met the café's resident cat. Their simple yet high-quality menu, including coffee and avocado toast, was delightful and surprisingly affordable.

At noon, I returned to City of Massage for a 90-minute session, which included complimentary coconut water 🤭 Highly recommended! On the way, I passed by Gold Dior for a quick visit but didn’t go inside.

Next, I headed to Hotaru 119 Omakase & Izakaya near Sanampao metro station. This hidden gem offers affordable omakase, with a 14-course meal starting at just THB 999++ per person. The fresh ingredients and ceremonial dining experience were impressive.

Finally, I spent the evening shopping and dining around Siam before returning to the hotel to pack for an early flight the next morning. Staying at Asoka Hotel made it easy to reach the airport without waking up too early.

[Accommodation Recommendation]
Suggested area: Makkasan
Hotel name: Asoka Hotel
Hotel address: 1643/5 Phetchaburi Rd, Makkasan, Ratthewi, Bangkok 10400, Thailand

If you’re looking for something a little different in Bangkok, the Hirono Floating Market with its POP MART pop-up is a fun and unexpected stop. This isn’t a traditional floating market—it’s a creative mash-up of local market vibes and modern pop art, all wrapped in the whimsical world of Hirono.

Arrive early if you can, especially on weekdays. It’s much easier to browse before the crowds build up. Wander past the floating-style stalls, pick up small handmade items, and sample local snacks—the coconut pancakes are surprisingly addictive. A short boat ride around the area also makes for great waterside photos.

The highlight is the POP MART pop-up store. Inside, you’ll find limited Hirono merchandise, from collectibles and clothing to art prints and home décor. The space itself is worth exploring, with colourful installations and display corners that are perfect for photos. The central exhibition area really stands out, featuring bold, expressive artworks and interactive spots that make the whole experience feel lively and immersive.

Don’t miss:
	•	Taking photos with the oversized Hirono figure and mural outside the pop-up
	•	Checking out on-site exclusive merchandise (some pieces aren’t sold elsewhere)
	•	Watching local artists customise items live
	•	Exploring the exhibition zone filled with paintings and small artisan showcases

Tips before you go:
Visit on a weekday morning for a calmer experience. Bring cash, as some market stalls don’t accept cards. The pop-up and exhibition are indoors, but the market area is open-air—light clothing and staying hydrated will make the visit much more comfortable.

Overall, it’s a charming, creative spot that blends Bangkok’s market culture with pop-art flair—especially enjoyable if you’re a Hirono or POP MART fan.
