The location of the hotel is relatively remote and it takes multiple transfers from the airport to take public transportation. The nearest small shopping mall also takes more than ten minutes to walk. The flight arrived in the morning, but could not be checked in early, and had to wait until 2 pm. If the hotel can be more flexible on the check-in time, the experience will be better.
The room facilities look old and there is no power socket at the bedside, which is very inconvenient. I live on the 5th floor of the top floor, but the roadside noise is still very clear, and the sound insulation and shading effect are not satisfactory. Although the water pressure and hot water in the bathroom are great, there are obviously stains on the towel that have not been replaced for many years. There are not many breakfast options and the taste is ordinary.
The actual experience of this hotel is completely not worthy of its 4 star rating. On the whole, the price is very low and I will not stay for the second time.
I had breakfast there twice. The first breakfast was great, featuring Hungarian specialties like various sausages and roasted meats. However, the second breakfast was a bit disappointing; the only meat option was sausages, and the specialty meat was replaced with steamed pears, which were tasty but not quite the same.
The location is fantastic, right in the city center. The subway, bus stops, and a mall are all just a few minutes' walk away, making it super convenient to get around.
The cleanliness was also excellent.
In general the hotel is nice but the room I stayed at was small but fictional. The toilet is separated from the shower are but both are small and tight. Great breakfast and helpful front desk. The location it not central to all the tourists hot spots but is manageable if use public transportation which is across the street from the hotel. The other issue is that they only provide coffee in the room for the first day. In my case, I had no coffee in the room after the second day. When asked, they said I can but coffee capsules from them for the coffee machine.
This is a pretty standard hotel, but it's really close to the airport and they have a shuttle service, which is super convenient. It's also very quiet, making it perfect for travelers flying in or out, or those on a layover. The rooms are clean and tidy, and all the amenities you need are there, including a water heater. I especially liked how the toilet, sink, and shower are all separated – very well thought out. Overall, a great hotel that I'd definitely recommend.
🌟 Five-star recommendation! A superb choice for Buda Castle Hill! ✨
My stay at the Mercure Budapest Castle Hill was nearly perfect and is definitely my top recommendation for anyone visiting Budapest. I can't recommend it enough!
📍 **Prime Location**
The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of Castle Hill, just a 10-minute walk from Fisherman's Bastion and Matthias Church, making it easy to visit these World Heritage sites. It's also right next to Déli railway station and a metro station, offering excellent transport links. Getting to the Chain Bridge over the Danube and the city center is incredibly convenient, ensuring hassle-free travel.
🛏️ **Comfortable & Modern Rooms**
The rooms are spacious and bright, with a design that blends modern simplicity with local artistic touches, creating an elegant atmosphere. The soundproofing is excellent, blocking out outside noise for a fantastic night's sleep. The bedding is soft and skin-friendly, the bathroom facilities are complete with ample hot water, and the amenities are exquisite. Some rooms even offer superb views of Castle Hill.
🍽️ **Outstanding Breakfast**
The buffet breakfast offers a wide variety of choices, with both Chinese and Western dishes available. Fresh bread, cold cuts, hot dishes, desserts, fruits, and drinks are continuously replenished, ensuring everything is fresh. The restaurant environment is stylish and elegant, making for a relaxed and pleasant dining experience.
🙋 **Attentive & Professional Service**
The 24-hour front desk provides warm and thoughtful service. The staff are friendly and professional, patiently answering all questions and proactively offering sightseeing suggestions. Check-in and check-out were efficient and smooth, and I felt welcomed and well-cared for throughout my stay.
🌟 **Summary**
Whether it's the location, facilities, service, or value for money, everything is impeccable. This is an ideal place to stay for both business and leisure travelers. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Budapest!
The hotel's location is excellent, right in the city center. The front desk staff were very polite, unhurriedly explaining everything and even upgraded our room. We got a room directly facing the church – drawing back the curtains revealed a perfect view of it. The bathroom had two sinks, and all the facilities were new. The only downside was the air conditioning; it would switch to heating every ten minutes or so, making a lot of noise, and I'm not sure why. Breakfast options were limited, and it was hard to find a table between 9-10 AM due to the crowd.
I stayed at this hotel for four days, and I've grown quite fond of it. I found the transportation incredibly convenient, especially if you're planning to leave Hungary by train to your next city, as the train station (Keleti pályaudvar) is right at your doorstep. For daily commutes, you'll mainly rely on subway transfers. However, I must mention that this area, being Keleti, doesn't feel as safe as other parts of the city. It can get a bit chaotic at night, especially on the streets to the right of the hotel, which are often quite deserted. I had their breakfast here, and unfortunately, I never got to try their stir-fried noodles; it was stir-fried rice every day. I heard they used to have amazing stir-fried noodles. They generally offer yogurt, fruits, cheese, and various dishes, though the bread selection isn't extensive. Overall, I think this hotel is quite good. Their hospitality and service are also commendable; when I first arrived, I rested in their lobby, and they provided water and fruit. Room service was decent too!
Choosing Amberlyn Suite Hotel for our Budapest trip was the best decision! The location is superb, nestled in a quiet neighborhood yet incredibly convenient. We could easily walk to several major attractions and metro stations, and there were tons of restaurants and cafes nearby. The hotel's decor is very stylish, modern yet cozy. What truly stood out was the service; the front desk staff were not only welcoming but also offered incredibly professional and authentic local tips. We felt right at home.
This is the fourth time I've come to this hotel. I recommend it. The breakfast is very good and varied. Very clean. It is located in an area very close to restaurants, a supermarket and a park where you can relax in the evening, a quiet area without car noise or pollution. There is an evening restaurant and a bar where you can relax in peace. Just be careful with the parking, don't forget to pay because the parking fees are checked very often. If you don't want to have a headache paying for parking, you can request the hotel's private parking, which is cheaper for a day of parking, the hotel gives a discount for that. In conclusion, I recommend this hotel.
The hotel facilities are a bit old, but very clean. I didn't encounter any unpleasant issues during my stay. The hotel breakfast was great, and the staff were quick to replenish food. The location is excellent, within walking distance to two major attractions: Fisherman's Bastion and Buda Castle. If you walk a bit further, you can see the Parliament Building and Chain Bridge at night. The only downside was that on the last night, the couple next door were, uh, *very* loud, and it sounded quite painful. I'm pretty sure the whole building could hear them...

GGuest UserThe Estilo Fashion Hotel has great service, a comfortable room and a good location. We arrived in Budapest much later than expected and were very thankful to the staff and their speedy check in process that allowed us to get to our river cruise reservation on time. The staff were friendly and helpful each time we interacted with them.
The location was perfect for us. We were steps away from the Fővám tér station which had metro and tram service to many of Budapest's major sites like the parliament, chain bridge, Buda Castle, Fisherman's Bastion and many more. We were also steps away from the large Central Market Hall and we were on the popular Vaci Street so there were plenty of souvenirs, restaurants, bars, cafes and other conveniences close by. We took the metro from the station by the hotel that gave us easy access to the Kelenfold Station (to get to/from Vienna or Bratislava),
The room was compact but there was enough space for all of our things. It was a bit narrow with the placement of the desk and chair at the foot of the bed but we shuffled around to get by. There was a large storage cabinet as well as hangers for our things to help get stuff out of the way. The room has a mini fridge and we got a kettle and tea from the front desk during our stay. The room was quiet and the bed was comfy. The room ran a bit hot but the large window helped bring in some cool and fresh air.
The bathroom was good with good shower pressure and plenty of hot water. They have an all in one body wash in the shower and some body lotion by the sink too. We did bring some of our products but the hotel's was decent too. They had a towel rack which made our towels nice and warm and helped dry off our swimming stuff after a nice visit to the Széchenyi Thermal Baths.
The breakfast was nice and plentiful. They had very good scrambled eggs, breads and a tray of cured meats and cheeses each day. They also had a good variety of spreads and healthy items to choose from. We liked having yoghurt with a variety of seeds in it. The juice and coffee selection was nice too to help start our day. Getting there early wasn't a big issue for us but we found as it got busier not everything was consistently available.

ZZhouchunxueThe facilities are complete, hygiene is good, the environment is beautiful, and the service is thoughtful. The surrounding amenities are convenient, and you can walk to the food street. Transportation is also convenient. I will book again next time.

BBamBam wowoweeWe had a really nice stay — it truly felt like home! The place was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The host was kind and responsive, which made the experience even better.
One small suggestion though: it would be great to include a short video or clip with the instructions (like check-in steps or how to use certain appliances). It would make it easier to follow rather than reading through a long list of directions. Overall, a warm and pleasant stay that we’d definitely recommend!
GGuest UserThe hotel is well located close to train station, bus stops, tram and metro lines. We stayed in a great double room. Very comfortable, clean and cozy. Shower was divine! ✨ Breakfast was very good with lots of options both for food and drinks. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. I truly recommend staying here :)

GGuest UserThe hotel provides water dispensers with fresh drinking water available daily, which is very convenient and contributes positively to overall comfort. In addition, fresh juices are offered, providing a pleasant and refreshing option throughout the day. It is also worth highlighting that there is a selection of desserts available without added sugar, which is a thoughtful and health-conscious offering. Furthermore, the bus stop is very easily accessible on foot and offers quick and convenient connections to the city center, making it simple to explore the area without the need for a car.
Mmanyuan0730Absolutely thrilled with my stay! The floor-to-ceiling windows offered a stunning view directly overlooking the Danube, with the Parliament building, Shoes on the Danube Bank, Little Princess Statue, and St. Stephen's Basilica all in sight. We were also conveniently located right behind Fisherman's Bastion, the Labyrinth, Buda Castle, and Szechenyi Chain Bridge. Everything was super accessible. The breakfast spread was incredibly generous too!
