This is a high quality church conversion which we fell in love with when we first viewed it. It is our home when we are in Scotland and is a peaceful beautiful place to be based. The views are stunning and the house easy to enjoy with quality furnishings and fittings and well proportioned rooms. Its central location in the village is ideal and yet it's private and quiet with a traditional pub very near. Also there is a village shop, butcher, a second pub and deli/cafe all within 25 metres, yet the cottage is uniquely private and quiet. Kippen is a small and close community and nearby the walks and rural scenery are stunning. The pubs provide great food and atmosphere too after a day exploring. It's not far to visit Stirling, Glasgow or Edinburgh and trips to the hills and the highlands are also easily accessible using Kippen as a base. We love this place and hope you will too.The cottage has under floor heating throughout. High speed WiFi and a quality entertainment system. The cottage has views from every room over the Scottish Highlands. MMartinThe DoubleTree by Hilton Dunblane Hydro is set in a truly unique and picturesque location, surrounded by beautiful scenery and plenty of charm. The setting itself makes it a special place to stay, and it’s a great base for exploring the surrounding area. The historic building and grounds add to the overall experience, giving it a character you don’t often find in modern hotels. That said, I did notice a few small details that could improve the guest experience — some of the typical hotel amenities were missing, such as basic cutlery and mouth rinse cups in the room. While not major issues, it’s something I would have expected at this level of accommodation. Overall, the stay was enjoyable thanks to the setting and atmosphere, and with a little more attention to those details, it could be an excellent all-round experience.

GGuest UserI didn't expect to find such a great hotel in this location! The building itself is an old one, converted from a former middle school. The Scottish lady at the front desk was incredibly professional and welcoming, offering all sorts of helpful information. They have hot spring pools and spa treatments available. The room decor has a classic Scottish style. The bathroom, however, doesn't have a separate wet and dry area. I'm not sure what material the floor is, but it feels soft underfoot and water drains very quickly. Parking is free. The surroundings are filled with ancient buildings and churches, making it a quiet and comfortable place.

GGuest UserThere are supermarkets and gas stations nearby, free parking, plenty of parking spaces, very convenient. Stirling Castle is very close, 10 minutes' drive. We arrived at Glasgow Airport early and arrived at the hotel at 11 o'clock, but we were not allowed to check in early, so we had to leave our luggage at the front desk first. We had been on a flight for more than ten hours and wanted to go to the hotel to take a good shower and take a nap before going out to play, but this hotel was unwilling to let us check in early.

GGuest UserWe were treated like royalty at the Hotel Colessio. The Bruce Suite was a perfect and luxurious place to spend my memorable birthday night. The welcoming staff were attentive, sweet, and helpful. It was so convenient to walk to sites we wished to tour. The bed and amenities led us to a good night's sleep and we savored the delicious breakfast. We have wonderful memories of Hotel Colessio!
