Very Good
TTough_crybabyThis was a very unique stay, a hotel that was built around their Michelin starred restaurant. It is in the middle of the “nowhere”, which had a secluded and oasis feel. The room was very interestingly designed, with an all around glass that had a very scenic effect during the day. At night, we were told to let down the all black covering to block out the light. This was a little bit intense for us and could feel a bit claustrophobic, but we got used to it in the end.
The food at the restaurant was of course the star of the show. We had the dinner which was a good experience, but we enjoyed the breakfast even more! All the ingredients were extremely fresh and delicious. And the view is unbeatable. For breakfast, the set menu was originally all sweet items, but they were happy to accommodate our requests for eggs. I would suggest adding a savory element to the breakfast.
I would also suggest for the hotel to have “room service” or snacks available for guests during the day. Since the hotel is remote, and the towns nearby all “shut down” in the middle of the day, if the guests wanted food it would be great to have some options from the hotel outside of set meal times.
Staff were all extremely nice and helpful.
RRuru CHIENThe check-in counter is a bit small, and you have to wait when there are many people. The room is very comfortable, and the TV has Netflix/YouTube. The bathroom is a bit awkward. It is easy to talk frankly with friends, but it is equipped with a full-length mirror, the decoration is comfortable, and the breakfast is rich. It is still worth recommending to stay here when you come to Lugo. It is worth mentioning that the soundproofing is good. I originally thought it would be quiet because there were not many people staying, but I found that there were quite a few people during breakfast time.
GGuest UserWe were very disappointed with our recent stay at this hotel (Room 210, April 13–14). Unfortunately, the experience was far from restful. The guests in the room directly above us (likely two Spanish men) were speaking loudly and even shouting until 3–4 am, making it impossible for us to sleep especially frustrating after a long day of walking the Camiño.
We specifically chose this hotel over an albergue, expecting a quiet and comfortable night, but sadly that was not the case. Although I understand that noise from other guests can be difficult to control, the hotel didn’t seem fully booked. It might have been possible for the staff to arrange rooms more thoughtfully to avoid placing guests directly above one another when there is availability.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was genuinely upsetting, and I hope the hotel can take this feedback into account to improve future guests’ experiences.
GGuest UserGreat location—just steps away from both the bus and train terminal. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the Basilica Santa Maria and the Mercado da Pedra.
The room was spacious and well-equipped with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The staff were welcoming, and always happy to help.
The only minor downside for me was that both pillows were a bit too soft for my preference. But overall, I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vigo!
RRocksanaSince we arrived and went everything has been unforgettable ,very pleasant ,the staff of the weekend cafeteria the best I have found in my life after many years of hostel and the most similar to when I worked on the Cies Islands ,Super sympathetic and cosy John and Ana , along with the girls of the reception of that afternoon and next day , the spectacular and comfortable room with everything you need , and the most accessible and natural place I have enjoyed , Thank you very much for the service and the great price at these times of the year .We have enjoyed it from the bottom to the back ,Ribeira mola ,I wish the whole year was so good time that everyone could get there.
GGuest UserQuiet hotel. There is no problem. Parking very close and a competitive price for the area. Improvement of the comfort of the coats and bed size (pair requests and sleep in individuals)
GGuest UserAnother amazing stay experience. The hotel is very good, the manor is full of characteristics and history. Go up the steps diagonally opposite the hotel, walk about 10 minutes to the cathedral, there are markets, Michelin restaurants, etc. Highly recommended!
AAlzy32I recently stayed at Hotel Maroa Vigo and had a fantastic experience. The hotel’s location is ideal, situated between Plaza de Compostela and the ferry terminal for the Cíes Islands, making it convenient for exploring both the city and the beautiful surrounding areas.
The room was modern, clean, and very comfortable, offering all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any queries or recommendations for local attractions and dining.
The only minor drawbacks were the absence of hair conditioner and a small kettle in the room to make a cup of tea but for the price of the room I will not complain.
SSantallaVery good experience. The room is well, everything clean. When being spa is also a little noisy. If you are asked to call with spa to book the time before, why is the risk you have nothing free.
AAnonymous UserThe room is big and was mostly clean but still noticed some hair on the sheets. The beds are a bit too soft and I didn't like them much.
The staff is very friendly and welcoming and there are refreshing drinks at the reception which was a welcoming addition. The hotel has free parking but if it's full you can find ample parking spots around the hotel which are free.
The location is also perfect since its close to the tower of hercules and next to the sea.
The breakfast has a lot of variety and is of good quality, however the coffee machine was a bit broken and spilled coffee everywhere
