First, the positives! The service attitude was exceptionally good! Whether it was me, being a bit delicate, asking the customer service小姐姐 (a polite term for a young woman) for two extra quilts, or asking the kitchen姐姐 (a polite term for an older woman) for a plate to wash fruit, everyone was incredibly happy to help! No one showed any impatience whatsoever. Everyone was genuinely wonderful, like a big, happy family. Now for the downsides: The secondhand smoke problem is really serious! From the moment you enter the main gate, there are people smoking everywhere. There are also ashtrays outside the rooms on the second floor, and people smoke there daily. Of course, I had seen reviews mentioning this before checking in, so I was prepared. Also, the water heater is still a bit unstable – one minute it's scalding hot, the next it's freezing cold. I was practically doing the tango in the shower! Overall, it's great value for money. I found some travel buddies here, and I'd definitely recommend staying at Bigfoot's if you're traveling solo!

Sitting on the top floor, sipping coffee and enjoying breakfast, watching the first rays of sunlight hit Jade Dragon Snow Mountain – it’s so peaceful and enjoyable. This must be the joy of traveling, both breaking a sweat in nature and having a cozy, warm haven to return to. This place really feels like a haven, a safe harbor for rest and relaxation. The best part is that it's not actually inside the Old Town, but it's within easy walking distance. Black Dragon Pool is also nearby; you can simply stroll over in the morning to catch the reflection of the golden mountain in the sunrise. Lijiang Old Town is full of stone paths, which can be tough to navigate, especially with luggage, so staying here was absolutely perfect. And the guesthouse service? Impeccable! The owner chatted with us like a friend, the Naxi lads eagerly helped with our bags, and there was a delicious afternoon tea. The view from the rooftop is breathtaking, and there's even a cute little golden retriever puppy named Jindou. Making friends, admiring beautiful scenery, enjoying good food – a truly delightful life is right here around us.

Overall, it was a good stay. The area around the hotel is very lively, and Kunming Old Street is right nearby. It's also not far from Cuihu Park and Kunming Railway Station. When I checked out, the front desk gave me warm bottled water, which was a really thoughtful touch for someone who always drinks from a thermos. Atour is definitely a great choice!

This charming homestay is tucked away on a quiet side street, just a quick 2-minute walk from the main Lianian Street. My friends and I loved the beautiful courtyard and traditional architecture — it really captured the local character of Jianshui. We only stayed one night, right after the Golden Week holidays, and were pleasantly surprised that the staff could arrange spacious rooms for us on the same second floor (I’d recommend choosing the second floor over the first). The staff were friendly and very responsive to our questions and requests. One thing to note: because it’s designed in a traditional courtyard style, you can hear other guests talking if you leave your windows open — but that’s part of the authentic atmosphere!

The hotel is located right within the Dongfengyun Scenic Area, and I honestly think it's the best hotel both inside and around the area! You can enter and exit the scenic area 24/7, allowing you to fully enjoy both the day and night views. During Chinese New Year, there were even light and dance shows, making the night scenery mysteriously stunning. The hotel itself is an Instagram-worthy spot with a fantastic design; every photo turns out great, so definitely set aside time to explore it slowly. There's a shuttle cart service from the hotel to the scenic area, and within the area, you can use the shuttle carts or rent a small electric scooter for a fee. I wouldn't recommend walking as it's sunny and vast, not very suitable for the elderly. **Facilities** We stayed in a suite with two rooms, and it was super spacious – easily accommodating our family of six. Snacks, drinks, and water were proactively refilled, which was a thoughtful touch. The only minor drawback was that the air conditioning wasn't cooling during Chinese New Year, so it was a bit warm during the day. We had to open the windows for ventilation to sleep. The hot spring area incurs an additional charge, so you can experience it if you wish. **Cleanliness** It was clean and tidy, with prompt housekeeping. There were no unpleasant odors, and both public areas and rooms were cleaned very promptly. Drinking water supply was unlimited and delivered to the room as needed. **Dining** The breakfast spread was rich, and the restaurant's location was superb, creating a fantastic ambiance for eating and taking photos. Lunch and dinner were on the pricier side and not very extensive, but the taste was decent. If you have time, I'd recommend heading into Mile city to try local delicacies instead. **Surroundings** It's a 10-minute drive from the high-speed rail station, but a bit far from the city center and the Mile Giant Buddha. For a day trip or two-day trip, I'd suggest booking a private car. The nearby wineries aren't particularly special, so you can skip them. The hotel itself is worth staying at for two or three days, perfect for a vacation. **Summary** High aesthetic appeal, excellent location, quiet, and comfortable. Highly recommended for family trips, couples' getaways, especially for those who love taking photos, travel photography, and exploring Dongfengyun in depth!

I had the most beautiful stay in Jianshui. The hotel was clean, bright and very comfortable. The hospitality was fantastic, which as a solo traveller I was very grateful for. I was given tea and fruit on arrival and the laoban introduced me to all the key spots in Jianshui and sent me recommendations of food spots too. I was given a delicious breakfast with some of the best congee I've had in China! I really felt at home. The location is fantastic, right in the old town on a beautiful side street with a peaceful quaint atmosphere. The hotel also organised a taxi to take me onto my next destination - thank you both for a wonderful stay. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

After a lot of research, I was very satisfied with choosing this place for my parents' trip during the Chinese New Year! **Location:** Situated on Nanqiang Street, it's in a small alley but incredibly well-connected, making it very convenient to get to the subway and the old town. Plus, the Jinmabiji Archway to the south acts as a major thoroughfare, making it easy for taxis and parking with clear directions. Surrounded by malls, dining and shopping are both a breeze. It's super convenient to get to any attraction! And the hotel is tall, so you can just look up and see it when you're disoriented in the old town. **Facilities:** The hotel has robots that deliver takeout. The elevator requires a key card. I recommend choosing a room facing the mall side; closing the window keeps out the noise, and you can still enjoy the lively view. Bottled water is available right by the elevator for you to take as needed. The extra bed was easy to set up, but the base isn't fixed, so the wheels can slide around, which I hope they improve. Breakfast changes daily, with a wide variety of options, including specialty dishes and Yunnan coffee. The fact that you can take coffee grounds in small bags is a real plus (the bathroom had a slight odor, and two bags fixed it right up). **Service:** The staff at the entrance always greeted us warmly when we came and went, and helped with our luggage. Staff we encountered in the lobby and hallways also wished us happy holidays and greeted us warmly. Check-in and check-out were very fast, and they even contacted us before check-in to ask if we had any special requests.

Reasons for recommendation: Firstly, the boss is great. Despite his cool exterior, the young man has a warm heart. He offered a welcoming tea, actively helped with luggage, and saw guests off. He also proactively helped book various tickets at fair prices with guaranteed quality, and provided all sorts of assistance to meet guests' needs. Secondly, the guesthouse location is excellent. Situated on Lion Hill, it offers a super wide view. The path from Sifang Street back to the guesthouse is my favorite in the entire ancient city. The winding uphill trail becomes less crowded the further you go, leading to a very tranquil part of the ancient city. There are no bars nearby, so you don't have to worry about noise. Plus, it's very convenient to get back to the guesthouse from outside the ancient city; cars can drive all the way up the hill, and it's just a few tens of meters walk to the guesthouse. Thirdly, the guesthouse environment is lovely. The guesthouse's signage, much like the boss, is understated, so much so that you might often accidentally walk past it. Beyond the outer corridor, the small courtyard is a hidden gem with flowers, plants, fish, and even a white magnolia tree. On the first day, there was an available room, so the boss upgraded our room type for free. From the room, you can enjoy the ancient city's night view and watch the sunrise over the ancient city in the morning. However, most houses in the ancient city are wooden structures, so soundproofing is a bit lacking. Those sensitive to noise should consider this carefully. But everyone staying there was quite considerate, and I wasn't bothered by noise at all during my stay. I'm writing these genuine stay experiences hoping they can help those of you on your phone screen who are still undecided. Finally, the key takeaway: the boss is handsome and kind-hearted. Next time I come to Lijiang, I will still choose Yueshang. I hope it stays around forever and its business thrives.

This hotel is very close to the ancient city, and food deliveries from the ancient city can reach the hotel, which is super convenient. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic; they helped us with our luggage and even let us choose our room. There's a laundry room on the fourth floor, and a drying area where you can hang clothes. There's also a terrace with direct views of Cangshan Mountain. The aunt responsible for breakfast is a local and gave us tips on visiting Cangshan Mountain and the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple. The rice noodles for breakfast were delicious. You can park in front of the hotel, and there's free parking nearby as well. The hotel also offers car rental services.

The hotel is about 1 km from the airport terminal. They offer a shuttle service, which is really convenient. If your flight is delayed, this is a great place to stay for a few hours. You can take the shuttle back to the airport early the next morning and then catch the airport metro or bus from there. It felt very convenient. The room was also quite good, and overall, it was a positive experience. You can even see the airport from the hotel room, which was a nice touch.
