We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay at Hidden Mist (listed on Trip.com as Santorini National Tide Sea View Resort). If you are looking for a relaxing stay with beautiful lake views, outstanding hospitality, and easy access to the Dreamland Resort area, I would happily recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Location: The hotel is located within Dreamland Resort on the eastern side of Dali, approximately 20 minutes from the airport, 30 minutes from the railway station, and around an hour from Dali Ancient City. We stayed near the Ancient City first before moving here, which I would recommend for anyone wanting to explore both sides of Dali. The resort is large, beautifully maintained, and very walkable. Complimentary golf cart shuttles regularly transport guests around the resort, while taxis are easy to arrange from the main entrance. There are quite a few staircases throughout the property, so it may not be ideal for guests with limited mobility. Service: The service was exceptional and one of the biggest highlights of our stay. Before we even arrived, the hotel contacted us by email and created a dedicated WeChat group with staff from different departments so we could ask questions or request assistance at any time. Everything felt organised, personal, and effortless. From the moment we arrived, a golf cart was waiting to collect us from the resort entrance. Throughout our stay, the staff regularly checked in to ensure everything was going well and genuinely cared that we were comfortable. The handwritten welcome note, housekeeping notes after each room clean, and staff asking what time would be most convenient to service our room were thoughtful touches that made us feel truly looked after. Although our booking only included a complimentary airport or railway station pickup, the hotel kindly arranged an airport drop-off instead because we had arrived from another part of Dali. This was greatly appreciated. Room & Cleanliness: We booked a room with a private garden overlooking Erhai Lake, and it was absolutely worth it. Waking up to the peaceful lake view each morning quickly became one of our favourite parts of the stay. The room and bathroom were spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. Everything still feels new and exceptionally clean. The large soaking bath, with bath milk replenished daily, was perfect after a day of exploring. The shower had excellent water pressure. As someone with very long hair, I found the shampoo and conditioner a little drying, so I would recommend bringing your own. The secure WiFi was reliable and fast enough for both my husband and me to work during our stay. Breakfast & Dining: Breakfast was excellent, with a choice between a Western breakfast and a local Yunnan set menu. We tried both, and every meal was fresh, well presented, and delicious. As we had an early flight on our final morning, the hotel prepared a takeaway breakfast for us, another thoughtful gesture that reflected the level of service throughout our stay. Our booking also included complimentary afternoon tea with cakes and fresh fruit. It would have been even better if guests could also choose a complimentary tea or coffee. The room includes quality tea, a premium kettle, and a mini fridge, although adding coffee would be a welcome touch, especially in Yunnan. Facilities & Surroundings: The hotel has a convenient power bank rental station in the lobby, and Dreamland Resort is full of beautiful cafés, viewpoints, and photo spots. Flomis Garden is less than a five-minute walk away, making it incredibly convenient for visitors. Our booking also included a traditional tea ceremony experience, which unfortunately we did not have time to attend. This French-style courtyard hotel in Lijiang perfectly met all my needs! 🏡 It's just a twenty-minute walk to the Big Waterwheel, so I didn't have to deal with the crowds at the Old Town entrance. Being off the main thoroughfare meant I could explore the Old Town at my leisure, avoiding all the noise. The moment I stepped through the gate, the street noise just vanished. This perfectly solved the common problem of Old Town guesthouses being noisy due to their proximity to the street and constant tourist traffic. The suite was spacious and didn't feel cramped, unlike many other guesthouses. While the room itself didn't offer a snow-capped mountain view, the exclusive rooftop terrace was perfect for relaxing, enjoying the breeze, and gazing at the distant, continuous mountain range – truly a cure for travel fatigue. The concierge was incredibly thoughtful and attentive throughout my stay, promptly responding to any requests, which saved me the hassle of worrying about everything when I went out. The breakfast was decent and convenient, so I didn't have to search for food elsewhere. The soundproofing in the room was excellent; the outside tourist noise didn't disturb my rest at all. It truly offered a tranquil escape amidst the hustle and bustle. Both the location, comfort, and service were ideal. I'll definitely be choosing this courtyard again on my next trip to Lijiang.

I recently stayed at this brand-new hotel (opened in 2024), and it was such a nice experience. If you want a place with lots of extras, this is it. They have two pool tables, a small rooftop pool, and two gyms—one for yoga and Pilates with all the equipment, and another with treadmills, bikes, free weights, and even a Smith machine. There’s also a laundry room with washers, which was really handy. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices, but you’ll want to arrive early to get the best selection. The staff were all very friendly, but Fei Xiu (绯袖) on WeChat was especially helpful—she answered all my questions quickly and made everything easy. The location isn’t right on the riverbank near the Starlight Market, but it’s not far from tourist spots either. It’s actually in a good spot if you want a quieter stay while still being close enough to everything. If you’re looking for a modern, well-equipped hotel with great service, I’d definitely recommend this one!

This hotel is just a few minutes' walk from Dukezong Ancient Town. Its Wabi-sabi style decor is tasteful and chic, and the quality truly rivals hotels that cost 2,000 RMB a night. My friend and I stayed for two nights and we honestly didn't want to check out. We've already promised each other we'll come back to Shangri-La just for this hotel. Hope it continues to thrive!

This Mingyu Licheng Ademan Hotel in Banna was such a pleasant surprise! It's full of Southeast Asian charm, surrounded by lush rainforest greenery, and the pool light show creates an incredible atmosphere. The room was spacious and smart, with a Dyson hairdryer and Atelier Cologne toiletries, which really elevated the experience. The balcony offered a super relaxing view. The butler service was attentive, and they even offered pick-up and drop-off. The Dai-style rice noodles for breakfast were amazing. Absolutely fantastic value for money, definitely my top choice for accommodation in Banna!

🌲 Dali Cangshan Oxygen Retreat | Living in This Forest, I Kicked My Phone Addiction🍃 Seriously, I'm so grateful! The biggest surprise of my Dali trip wasn't the ancient city or Erhai Lake, but this forest B&B nestled halfway up Cangshan Mountain 🌿. As we drove up from the city, the urban hustle and bustle slowly faded, replaced by lush greenery and the sound of pine trees swaying in the wind. 🌄 **The Rooftop is Pure Soul:** I was absolutely stunned the moment I stepped onto the rooftop – the nineteen peaks of Cangshan Mountain stood behind me like a majestic screen, with the entire Erhai Lake and scattered Bai ethnic villages stretching out below. The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple were faintly visible. In the morning, drawing back the curtains revealed a sea of rolling clouds. In the evening, I'd sit on the swing chair on the terrace, watching the sunset paint Erhai Lake a honeyed gold 🍯. At night, a glance upwards showed the Milky Way so clearly it brought tears to my eyes ✨. 🌿 **Immersive Mountain Living:** Hydrangeas were in full bloom in the courtyard, and dappled sunlight filtered through the treetops onto the wooden floors. The natural wood-toned room had floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, making it feel like sleeping right in the forest 🌲. There were also three resident cats, each with their own unique personality, taking turns on patrol. The hotel's overall environment is truly exceptional. The garden layout is elegant and serene, with beautiful scenery at every turn, creating an incredible atmosphere. The privacy is excellent, and strolling through the grounds is incredibly relaxing. Everything is meticulously maintained and clean, making it perfect for both unwinding and taking photos. I must also commend the hotel's restaurant; the food quality is top-notch, with fresh ingredients and outstanding flavors, and the service is attentive, making for a very pleasant dining experience. A special thank you to our butler, Aureliano, who provided professional and considerate service throughout our stay. He was responsive, paid close attention to details, and struck the perfect balance, ensuring all our needs were met with care, making us feel incredibly comfortable. My overall stay was impeccable, and I truly appreciate the hotel team's dedication. I will definitely prioritize staying here for my next vacation. Highly recommended!

The room was very clean, and the host was super friendly and helpful with luggage. There's also a Samoyed named Mitsu who is incredibly friendly; my kids absolutely adored her and couldn't bear to leave. The dog was very clean and well-behaved. Overall, the guesthouse was very quiet.

Choosing Yunying Chunxiao·Shuiyuan is truly a love-filled experience. The hotel is right on the shore of Erhai Lake, offering stunning views of the sea right from your window. Enjoying the sunset in the evening and falling asleep to the sound of the waves at night is incredibly therapeutic. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a simple yet sophisticated décor and complete with smart devices, making the stay super convenient. Our butler, Ms. Su, was incredibly attentive and helpful, assisting with itinerary planning and recommending off-the-beaten-path attractions. From breakfast and evening sweet soup, the attention to detail was impeccable. The complimentary travel photography experience was also excellent; the photographer was very professional, taking photos in the public areas that turned out beautifully, and the rooftop camera position for panoramic views of Erhai Lake was absolutely stunning. If you want to experience a truly slow-paced life in Shuanglang, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

THE BEST HOTEL WE'VE EVER STAYED AT 😩❤️❤️ Our plan was to stay one night in Shangri-La and we made THE BEST decision booking this hotel. They provided pick up and drop off service from the railway station and the car was very comfortable for us 4 people. The butler waited for us right outside the station and greeted us with a smile. He helped us with the bags and drove us to the hotel. The hotel was only a few minutes away from the station and when we arrived, the staff gave us each the ******* scarf as a welcome gift. They explained everything in english and added us to a wechat group with all the staffs so we can ask anything in the group through wechat right away. The room was BIG. Was luxurious and very high tech. and DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE VIEWS 😭😭😭 The view from the room was IMMACULATE. I COULD WATCH IT EVERYDAY. Everything was clean, new and COMFY. They have everything prepared and everything was complete. The hotel provided complimentary afternoon tea for each night and you could order any drinks you like from the rooftop cafe. The drinks were amazing and they even provided some fruits. The view from the rooftop cafe was also amazing. We had an amazing time in the cafe. There were a lot of animals roaming around the ranch of the hotel and we got to touch feed and take pictures with all of them!!! It was THE MOST MEMORABLE part of the stay! There were rabbits goats lambs alpacas yak cows pigs. All of them were roaming around freely and we could take pictures and play with them! There were also another cafe and the other side of the ranch with very good views. The ranch is filled with multiple photo spots. They prepared a few huts with cute props for us to take pictures. At night, they prepared a tea making event for us to enjoy but we didnt have any time since we went to the ancient town that night. The Didis are surprisingly easy to be found even at 11pm. When we came back to the hotel they handed us each a cup of warm yak milk for a good night sleep. We slept so comfortably and the next day, we had our delicious breakfast and they were so considerate offering us a halal version of the breakfast!! And we also had our complimentary photoshoot with the ******* cultural outfits. It was very good and we got 5 pictures for free!! We requested for a late checkout but they couldn't do it since there are other people checking in the next day. However, they instead offered another complimentary afternoon tea session!!! After checking out, we leave our bags in the hotel lobby and they handed us each a goody bag filled with snacks!!! We played a little bit more with the animals and enjoyed our last few hours in the rooftop cafe for the last time! We were so sad leaving the hotel but surely we will come again!!!
