Hotels With Breakfast in Yunnan, China

I randomly picked this guesthouse for my Lijiang trip, and it turned out to be excellent value for money. Honestly, when I travel, I really prioritize comfort, and this place completely exceeded my expectations – definitely a perfect score! 💯 The location is absolutely fantastic. It's very close to the North Gate entrance of Lijiang, so you don't have to drag your luggage far at all. Of course, the owner was also very thoughtful and drove to help me with my bags. The entire courtyard has a new-Chinese, natural wood style, and it's incredibly well-maintained with beautiful flowers everywhere. The sunlight streams onto the wooden platform and the rattan furniture. You can just sit down, have a cup of tea, space out, feel the breeze, and swing on the swing. That sense of relaxation is truly therapeutic. My work is usually quite busy, and it's rare for me to feel this way, but here it was so comfortable and relaxing – exactly what I was looking for. The room was clean, tidy, and odorless. The natural wood decor felt warm and had a Japanese touch. I slept soundly until morning, practically woken up by the sun, haha. The butler service was also incredibly thoughtful; they sent detailed directions before check-in, and any issues were resolved promptly. On the first floor, there's also Hogood Coffee, and their coffee is excellent. Before leaving, I was able to grab some small-bean Yunnan coffee as souvenirs. I bought some for all my friends, and they can even ship it directly, which saved me the trouble of carrying it. Next time I come to Lijiang, I will definitely stay at Songzhuju again! I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place to slow down in the ancient town.

Superb location but initially the entrance to the hotel was difficult to locate. Entrance leading to a lift lobby with signage directing to level 7 where the main checkin lobby is inconspicuous. Other than this and at times, the slightly longer wait for the lift, stay has been most satisfying. Again great breakfast spread, attention to details and creature comforts, will make me consider staying with this chain for future travel to China

What a great hotel! We flew in late to Kunming from Zhuhai after exploring Hong Kong and Macau, and the hotel picked us up anyway at 00.00.  It is just about 15-minutes away from the airport and 45-minutes from the railway station. Highly recommend taking their breakfast if you will wake up on time. Unfortunately we didn’t and there’s not many markets around so we had to walk quite a bit to just buy some cookies. We just needed a place to sleep as we were catching a train to Dali the next day but this hotel was so good we wish we would’ve stayed just one more night to enjoy the room properly. The cleanliness was excellent, the products they provide in the shower were insanely good (even for my curly hair, which doesn’t happen often in China) and they also had restaurants and massages in the hotel.  The reception was open all night long and they were super nice even though we don’t speak any Chinese. Lovely hotel and especially for the price!

This homestay has been our best stay in China so far! The place is spotlessly clean. The view of the top floor is amazing. The room is gorgeous and with lots of amenities and great design and a very comfortable bed. Ending with a delicious breakfast with a mountain view! They were very accommodating of our vegetarian needs. There are lots of activities that can be done onsite, from tea tasting, to afternoon tea to a demonstration of ******* tea with snacks. But the key difference for us is the level of hospitality. We felt as if we were part of the family. Everyone has been so kind and wonderful, attentive and gentle. We can't wait to come back!

Fabulous hotel. Stylish room with high standard amenities in the room. Great shampoo! It's a bit hard to find but we managed to get a Didi from the high speed railway station for 32 RMB. There is an elevator inside the 99Y clothes store that brings you to the 4th floor. A woman in a very simple room will give you your key. The hotel seems to have a different name in English: Aina Hotel. Regardless, it isn't so easy to find for an English speaker. The room is spacious and cosy. Comfortable bedding. Very well designed sitting area. Ceinling fan and Air-conditioning. Large flat screen TV. I loved the teapot and cup set. The hotel gives a nice tea and honey as a free gift. We weren't disturbed by noise despite it being in a popular tourist area. Everything is close by too. Fun to visit the park along the river. We went 2 nights there. I highly recommend.

Extremely satisfied with my stay! The hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from Kunming Station, which was super convenient for catching our train the next day. The room was spacious and bright, clean, and odorless. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touch of corner protectors on the furniture to prevent bumps. The front desk staff were friendly and responsive to all our requests. Breakfast was delicious too! **For a concise version:** 1. During my trip to Kunming, Yunnan, I stayed at Mengyuejing Hotel, and I truly have to give it a “beyond five-star” review! From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I could already feel the relaxing and elegant atmosphere. The room was absolutely beautiful — not only aesthetically designed, but every detail was thoughtfully prepared. The facilities were complete, modern, and very comfortable, making the whole stay incredibly enjoyable and relaxing. One of the biggest surprises was the breakfast. There were many choices, and everything tasted really delicious. You can genuinely feel the effort and care the hotel puts into every guest’s experience. Whether it was the accommodation, environment, cleanliness, service, or the convenient location, everything exceeded my expectations. Staying at such a wonderful hotel truly made my journey even more memorable. Thank you, Mengyuejing Hotel, for giving me such an amazing experience. 1. When I entered the room, I found an empty water bottle and a bag, which were likely left behind by housekeeping. This shouldn't happen and indicates that the room wasn't cleaned thoroughly or checked properly. 2. For breakfast, the auntie making the chicken pho added mostly chicken giblets, neck, and brains instead of actual chicken meat. I took two bites of the noodles and one piece of chicken before leaving. 3. The front desk lady was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful with all my questions. 4. The location is great, right next to the border gate, so you don't have to drive around looking for parking. 5. After the rain, the hotel's floor tiles became extremely slippery. I saw someone fall and had to walk very carefully myself. Honestly, it's probably best to avoid staying here on a rainy day. All the good feedback is thanks to the front desk staff.

I had a fantastic stay! The hotel environment was clean and comfortable, the room was spotless, and all the facilities were great, making for a very relaxing stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, always patient and helpful with any questions or issues. The location was also very convenient. Overall, it exceeded my expectations, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time. Highly recommend it with five stars!

Very centric location, yet quiet. Large room. Very nice helpful and friendly service. Family running the house is lovely. Nice pleasant patio. Phone signal is weak, but there is wifi and it’s easy to connect. Bathroom lighting could improve, but it was fine. Shower clogs a bit.
